@@brendanlee2019 that is a Kenwood DMX958XR, it was very easy to install. The only “wiring” I had to do was for a speaker signal wire from my amplifier for my subwoofer. The Idatalink maestro II and appropriate idatalink wiring harness made everything plug and play. I had it installed and working within 30 minutes of having all the appropriate parts. I’d say you could do it yourself fairly simply.
@ SWEET, I might check that out! I like the look and finish of that screen more than the stereotypical idioing head units. What website did you order it off of, and did it come with those plug n play wiring harness solutions? EDIT: also, did it integrate with the rear backup camera?
Please do, the quality is insane! I’ll post a video going over why I like it etc. I bought it off of www.sonicelectronix.com! The only thing I had to buy separately was the adapter cable from the Idatalink maestro to the Kenwood unit. I snagged the Kenwood to Idatalink maestro harness on amazon. Everything was plug and play. There is some extra steps for the Idatalink maestro interface but once those are done, you’re home free. Yes the camera works, you can even add an additional 3 cameras to the Kenwood unit if I remember correctly.
