I disagree with you putting the Emmerdale Aeroplane Crash in this clip it was by far the finest storyline in British soap history and was well received by the critics of the time and still well received to this day

Brendan is as about as far from a pantomime villain you can get for a soap. He’s one of the few complex and well written characters from Hollyoaks. Though I do think they took it to far when they showed Seamus about to assault Brendan before Cheryl shot him.
I would add that whole shitstorm in Corrie where Tracy lied and pretended she had sex with poor Roy to pin her baby on him, ruining his life and Hayley's just to prove she could have any man she wanted.
Any storyline from Hollyoaks should be on here, they're always taking things too far, killing off every character and dragging storylines on for too long

Although EastEnders is the one I've ever watched and liked the most, in my opinion, it did go too far when they killed off Pauline Fowler. The fact that she was a favourite character of mine wasn't the reason, for I realise that I can't stop the writers from killing off their characters and in the end, it was Wendy Richard's choice to quit EastEnders, but it was in fact the way she died and the aftermath. Pauline didn't get a proper send off and the who-dunnit plot ruined it for us viewers.

I don't think the student teacher storyline was to far it happens a lot and people (kids included) needed to be educated on the things to look out for if they think there teacher or anyone in there school is being inappropriate
If you're gonna ad Walker/Brendan to the list why choose the death scene? Honestly, seeing Walker go splat against the train, which we didn't actually see wasn't half as traumatizing as having to watch a close up of Walker's face as he kinda sorta let Brendan force himself on him even though he not only hated Brendan but also was straigth. The helicopter crash was like something out of a road runner cartoon. The hollyoaks Alien episode was worse than the very worst Doctor who storyline ever.
04:48 the actor who played Brenden at least had a traumatic reaction to taking life - normally the characters can commit multiple murders and just get on with life. He was good showing conflict with his sexuality. I normally don't lean into soaps, but he played it well
To be fair a lot of soap story lines are designed to show modern day life and what goes on in real like like in emmerdale when Ross gets an acid attack it’s been happening in real life and the soaps represents it

I thought the aftermath was a bit gory for primetime tv. 2. "Alleged" paedo in Hollyoaks who was a swimming teacher, and Gilly saw him and a little boy walk out of a changing cubicle. That fucking disturbed me for about a week after! Think it was 2007/08 3. Sienna and Dodger Twincest, Hollyoaks. 4. The current Corrie storyline of Paul being groomed by his paedo stepdad. 5. Cameron murders Genny in Emmerdale. That was horrible.
