      LOL, I had no idea I was squirming like that. If I had to guess it was from coffee and sugar from chocolate chip cookies. I must be a subconscious nervous movement. Now I'm going to be self conscience in my next videos. But that's a good thing. I love challenges so now my new challenge is to remain still.

    Great videos! I haven't had one pair of Transitions that got dark enough. I hope the Zeiss is better. Also I had the Crizal Transitions with every coating known to man and they just got all scratched up and are now unusable. I am not a fan of these coatings that seem to scratch easier than glass.

      Hey organic farmer, I founded the farmers market in my city 20 something years ago and I'm still organic. Yes, Zeiss is much better, however nothing on this planet is scratch proof, not even diamonds. If you are is a dusty dirty field and you wipe your lenses on a dirty shirt then yes you will scratch the lens. I use an old pair when I'm in my garden and my new ones everywhere else.

    Soon I will order my second eyeglass after 6 years, and wanted to have fading lenses, but couldn't decide which to choose, zeiss, or essilor. Your video helped me, I want the same blue coloured like the zeiss one, and now I know some of the differences too, so that zeiss one will be ordered. Thank you!

    very nice video. Well i'm in between essilor gen 8 and xtractive. I do like the darker from the xtracrive but i preffer the faster return to clear that gen 8 have. I think gen 8 are newer technology than the xtractive ones. Because i work with many screens in my office which crizal do you suggest me? Alize? prevencia or sapphire? lences will be thinning το 1.6. Hi, not transitions related, but need help. A few months ago I bought a pair of glasses to replace the previous damaged ones. The prescription has remained identical (DX -3.25, -2.00, 15°; SX -2.00, -3.50, 180°) as well as the refractive index 1.67 for both old and new glasses. I switched from a Miki Ninn mnaf57 frame to a Micheal Kors mk3030, fitted with Essilor lenses. I immediately accused vision disturbances due to the perception of a blur on the left portion of my right lens, unbearable. After months of attempts and two changes made (each time the centering was changed, once we also tried to change the brand of lenses and the pantoscopic angle, with no results) the problem remained and I had to return the glasses.
    To this day I still need to change glasses, but considering the bad experience I would like to prevent it from happening again, even if no one could figure out the cause. Since then I have turned to several opticians and each one has given their own hypothesis: those who say that the lens was too big (it was a 54 caliber with a height of 40, while I usually wear a caliber 52 and a height of 35), some say that the size has nothing to do with it and it all depends on the centering (but this was corrected at a certain point, I compared it with the conformity document of the old eyeglasses), some say that it depends on the shape of the frame, others say that I should prefer Zeiss to Essilor, while others say that the brand has nothing to do with it.
    Could you give me your opinion so I can avoid the same problem happening again? I no longer know which model of glasses to choose, considering also that fashion dictates and in shops you can only find certain types of frame shapes and sizes (in my opinion exaggerated). Thanks in advance

    What’s the main differences in the photo fusion blue, grey and extra grey? Any videos on that by chance?

    • @freeprescriptionlenses
      @freeprescriptionlenses  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main difference in the regular Photofusion are the colors. The 4 colors are grey, brown, green and blue. There is only one color in the Extra grey. The regular Photofusion has 30 to 50% blue light protection built in and the Extra grey has 50 to 70%. Also the Extra dark gr will get 30 to 50% dark behind a windshield whereas the regular Photofusion self tinting is minimal.

    • @freeprescriptionlenses
      @freeprescriptionlenses  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What would work best for a mountain biker is a lightweight safety frame. The On Guard 220S has a vented bridge to prevent fogging. Zeiss also makes a spray to eliminate fogging but it only lasts about 3 days be fore needing to be reapplied. You can buy it from Amazon or Walmart. Also you should consider contact lenses. That would work best for what you are trying to do.
