40:40 💥modification1: We can have a charged and soft cyllinder moving towards similarly charged point charge from an initial distance R and find the distance between them at the instant cyllinder(due to own weight) gets its radius halved and length 2x as it rolls towards it. 💥modification2: we can place the two on an incline and keep q1 at the bottom and q2 at the top with total hieght of incline and its angle given. The unknown quantity will be the min height it can reach when released. 💥modificatio3: we can keep them in a smooth vertical tube at a distance(height) H and ask for the minimum value of q1 for which q1 levitates in the air.. 💥modification3 part b: in 2nd case we ask for the value of q1 for which it levitates at a height x.
Modification 1: if one sphere is conducting then closet approach Modification 2: if both are set free and one is projected Modification 3: if only fixed sphere has charge and other is conducting then final charge at moving sphere at infinity
New modified questions along with the last question - 1) If both the spheres are free to move. One sphere is at rest initially and other sphere is moving with a velocity v. Find closest distance of approach. 2) If both the spheres are free to move and one sphere (right one) is moving with v and other sphere (left one) is moving with 2v. Then find distance of closest approach. 3) Two spheres with charges q and 2q are at rest and free to move, seperated by a distance d. If anothe sphere qith charge 3q is placed slowly between the other two spheres. Then find the final distances between the spheres.
M-1= if other metal sphere is attached to string of length L such that it just touches the horizontal surface & 1st metal sphere given a velocity v towards other sphere and reached at distance x from it then i) find maximum angle to which it reach . ii) find max height to which it reach from horizontal . M-2= if fixed sphere attach to massless string & string attached to block of mass M vertically through pulley & 1 st sphere given a force perpendicular to diametrically surface towards 2nd sphere then i)find acceleration of block. ( friction is sufficient to sliding & initial seperation of sphere is d) ii) also find min seperation of sphere 's.
We can use [Kq1q2/Rmin.] only when distance between both the spheres is very very large than their radius (so that we can assume them as point charges and apply the above stated formula)

The radius of ball is not given to be negligible thus being problematic to apply kq1q2/r (as induced charges appear on extreme of sphere and r min is calculated from centres) there'd be some repulsion from q1 hence the calculated r min comes smaller than actual Question modifications Q1 charged ball raised by a height h minimum radius of circle traced by Q2 (type already discussed) Q1 placed on a wedge and released from there till q2 Pure rolling discarded, presence of friction

MODIFICATION:✨: in a giant metallic sphere a giant cavity introduced in that cavity to equal charged + charges are dropped now dist of farthest approach as toward the end they will get repelled by their insduced negative charges....✨
Sir mistake is that when spheres come closer then due to repulsion the charges on spheres are no longer uniformly distributed and the value which we get as r(min) is actually greater than distance between centers of those 2 spheres
@@user-qp7ky2ix2hfrom the equation sir has written we can calculate r(eff)[not r min], and using that r(eff) we can calculate final potential energy (by Kq1q,2/r(eff))

Sir, I am not sure but I think in the last example we need to take into consideration the energy loss by the friction present which allows the rolling of the body. Sir in the last question, 1. We can introduce an impact parameter to the moving body, where we use the concept of conservation of angular momentum along with conservation of energy to find the closest distance of approach. 2. Sir we can also provide some initial velocity to the second body instead of keeping it at rest.
The mistake is in r min, we have to account the change in charge density due to induction between metal surfaces, ( we have to calculate potential as we did in the previous example (first at centre and then as metal is equipotential) and then find the potential energy
we used energy conservation ,so in these cases as u are talking about redistributionn of charges ,but charges are still the same in magnitude so the total energy is still the same
2 Mistakes in last question : 1) r(min.) is the distance actually between between centre of charges of the spheres which changes when both sphere are in vicinity. So , the expression of P.E. on right hand side of equality is slightly incorrect if we consider induction effects (if spheres are metallic) or polarisation (if spheres are insulating). 2) Sir hasn't taken the initial P.E. of the 2 sphere system in left hand side. DPYQ's : DPYQ1: Find the min.value of coeff. of friction so that at each moment , pure rolling is maintained. DPYQ2: If the fixed sphere is fixed on an suff.rough incline of angle alpha from horizontal at height h from ground and the second sphere is released from another suff. rough incline at angle beeta from horizontal. Find the time period of oscillations of second sphere near the bottom . (neglect the jerk at common bottom of two inclines). DPYQ3: If in the PRESENT SITUATION , the second sphere is released from above on fixed sphere (instead of imparting velocity on horizontal grd.), find the closest distance of approach . (Neglect air friction).
sir i think mistake in the eq is when they comes close each other there wont be any more pure rolling so friction to do pure rolling and hence some dissipation of energy occurs
MISTAKE IN LAST QUESTIONS: q1 charge sphere will experience a force due to the approaching q2 charged sphere and hence gain a kinetic energy too! so its KE should be accounted in the energy conservation. Final KE will be 2(1/2 mv^2). Thanks for the lecture sir
Here friction is present wich is non conservative that's why we can not conserve the mechenical energy Also when spheres reach each other due to the charge repulsion that pot enregy can't be given by that formula At the end how we can say that sphere didn't have angular velocity at final
Error in last question is in the Rmin as there charges are shifted due to repulsion between them Here We should use kq1q2/Reff becuase Reff is the actual effective distance between charges because districbution of charge not remained uniform and this is one of the limitation of applying coulumbs law directly
Mistake in Rmin : when sphere comes closer them charge distribution on both sphere changes and become non uniform so, the formula U=KQ1 Q2 /R is not valid. Thank you
Basically the fault is sir had taken r min as distance between their centres but in this case it will be effective distance between their centre of charge .it's done
@@GauravKumar-zq7ex No , self energy would change because charge distribution on both the spheres would change . And in case of non- uniform charge distribution , self energy increases.

Sir wont you be continuing these live classes in PG app ? I was waiting for my coaching syllabus to get completed, so that I can prepare from these classes on adv level.
I think the mistake is the charges have to be point charges or their charges should be taken at their COQs to be considered in the right side of the equation, because the formula for potential used is valid for point charges and charges redistribution will occur when q1 comes in vicinity of q2. Therefore the COQ of q1 and q2 will change and therefore I conclude that Rmin is wrongly taken. Thank you sir 🧡
@@arunavabhol2099 then what about when they come closer, the coq must shift right? Then how can we consider it to be a point charge if it contradicts later on, moreover he took moment of inertia of the sphere as a solid sphere
Sir, in last question, as the sphere with charge q2 moves towards q1, won't the charges on both spheres move apart continuously due to the Electric field present between the spheres
Sir the mistake is that The potential energy we took there is calculated for point charges not for rigid bodies, because due to repulsion there would be some changes in the charge distribution Plus there's and opposing force of friction doing work too

Sir, in last question, as the sphere with charge q2 moves towards q1, won't the charges on both spheres move apart continuously due to the Electric field present between the spheres
Sir the mistake is that
The potential energy we took there is calculated for point charges not for rigid bodies, because due to repulsion there would be some changes in the charge distribution
Plus there's and opposing force of friction doing work too
No work due to friction as it is static
@@nehalpandya3037 yeah you are right, thanks for correction
