I would have added Knopfler's '61 sultans of swing strat.
I think in terms of the most iconic guitar, not just the most expensive at auction, surely it has to be the Woodstock Strat!
I agree. Truly iconic! Although the black strat is up there, The Woodstock strat has got to be number one.

Like I said in part 1, it would have been nice to mention Robbie Robertson's Bronze Strat. The one with the middle pickup moved closer to the bridge. The one he played for The Last Waltz.
Sinful that you didn't have Mark Knopfler's 61 Red Strat, Buddy Guy's polka dot Strat, and especially EVH'S Frankenstrat on this list! Even though you could argue that the Frankenstrat isn't a true strat, it still has that Strat look and is EASILY the most recognizable guitar of all time for the pattern in it alone.
Great to see YJM, Hendrix and Gilmore on the list. Understand its a challenge to pick just 10, but an extended list could include Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Eric Johnson amongst others 😀
You missed Mark Knopfler's Sultan's Strat and Edge's 70's black strat.
It's called an xlr OUTput. And it was the early 70's.
I would have put Ritchie Blackmore, Dave Murray, Eddie Clark, George Harrison, and Tom Morello

I think Georges must charactheristic guitars were the Gretsh in the early beatles eras
and "arm the homeless" is most iconic for Tom than the "soul power"

Where's George Harrison's Rocky Strat and why isn't Jimi's '68 strat at number one I honestly think David Guilmor's black strat should be at number 3 and Blackie should be at number 2

Where is Mark Knoflers Strat?
The Buddy Holly strat is not iconic. Maybe the image of buddy holly himself WITH a strat is iconic but not that guitar itself. It is indistinguishable from the 50 run of the mill burst strats on Guitar Center's website right now. A guitar is iconic if it evokes the artist associated with it instantly.
Too bad the extreme out of breath accent is turning me off. Dude, you don’t have to exhale all your oxygen on every syllable. Relax. Good content though.
