Man, the first time I faced Alecto-Kraken, I was both fascinated and scared. Her Kraken form is epic, but also scary. Imagine meeting her in real life, perhaps while you are on a cruise.

Imagine if God of War Ascension was even close to being as good as the other games in the franchise.
@@wakkjobbwizard For me Ascension is a great game. It has nothing to envy to the other titles in the series. It won't be as good as 2 or 3, but the clashes are beautiful, the graphics too, the only flaw in my opinion is the slightly weak plot. For the rest I really enjoyed this game.

It prob is on easy cause that’s a new save with 0 or barely any upgrades on the blades but it takes less damage to kill them

Still one of the most stunningly beautiful PS3 games, always forget that this was 2 gens ago but the graphics and cinematic effects really hold up immensely well despite not having any remakes or graphical remasters.
Man, I forgot how gorgeous this game was...

Nope god of war 3 has the best bosses. Poseidon/hades/Zeus/Hercules/Kronos... should I also count Hermès/Helios/Gaia/Hera ? Nah but you get my point... If I’m wrong for GOW3 it has to be GOW2 : The colossus/the Barbarian/the sisters of fate/Zeus... Ascension had great bosses but they were not as memorable as the ones I mentioned.
@@opfer88 You’re pretty dumb if you think GOW3 has the best bosses they’re literally the Greek Pantheon they were fun to fight but this game had just better fights imo. God of war 2 bosses were legendary and memorable
@@opfer88memorable? in this game they showed that you can create vastly superior bosses without even relying on the best and most "memorable" ones from the prequels. Something that they would do very well with Baldur, just like this game, which for me gives him much more credit.

I never noticed before that Castor and Pollux sometimes flicker back to their old selves when you hit them in the first two phases. I was 100% convinced you could only do that in the QTE where you knock out Castor. Another amazing detail

Many people shit on this game because Kratos still didn't face any God yet. and he only able to use Blade of Chaos as his main weapon (but he still could pick some others weapon as his secondary like Sword, Shield, Bow, ect) But i think this game are pretty good and has some epic boss too and also has quite good story

Of all the games in the franchise that I've played to date, the first and second on the PlayStation 2 are the best.
I never truly experienced this game the right way. I played it on psnow on ps4 when it was still reavitility new. There was input lag and general lag lol but I still enjoyed it, hope theres a way to play it one day on ps5.

I don't really like ascension but it has a really great introduction and the first boss is fun.
I cant see why people hate this. It looks fun to me. The gameplay seems smoother based of the demo I played
@@realamericannegro977 The combat changes weren't really to my liking, Kratos didn't get any new weapons, the story was kind of a mess ,and I found the puzzles to be very tedious. The bosses aren't bad and the graphics are absolutely amazing for PS3 though. It's not a bad game by any means and it's worth a playthrough if you like God of War, it's just compared to every other GoW before it, it falls flat.

I still don't get why People didn't liked GoW Ascension, it's still holds a special place in my heart cuz I loved the Music Choreographic, and the Boss Battles felt New and Original to fight. Especially the Story of the Furies who were plotting with Ares to take and overthrow Olympus with a Warrior made more sense, although I will admit that they've lacked with the Weapons and made them seem like they've basically degraded the GoW 3 Weapons in Ascension.
from what I've heard, it's because Ascension has too many bugs, the developers apparently focused too much on multiplayer gameplay that for single player, the gameplay was a bit neglected, although the graphics were focused on
plus, the combat style was rather challenging, it basically pressured you to do "no damage runs" if you want to perform more powerful combos, but even if you do manage "no damage" and keep your rage bar full, every time there is a cut scene, the bar would reset itself and you have to start all over again
