I don't think he really got the best looks in the Prem & playing in / out is tough for building consistent form. Outside of Palmer in a couple exceptions, Chelsea has also been in more of a rebuidling stage with the club compared to previous expectations
His nationality played huge part in this. Lets face it, its not hard to find others with his skill level in latin america. Marketing tool with a decent skill
I wouldn’t say so, there’s the advantage of saying you’re an above average player from the USA, but there’s also the stigma of the USA not having talent so I think it equaled out. He was getting hype for being a decent prospect from America, but also scrutinized because American hadn’t really produced any talents in a while. Also I’d say he is a pretty good player, not average. He scored goals, he can score in pretty big games too. He’s not Eden hazard or top 50 players, but maybe he’s somewhere between top 70-120 players.
That’s disingenuous. He’s arguably the best player in North America and would start for almost any National team in Latin America. Not world class but an elite player and far from a “marketing tool.”
You're so wrong it's not even funny. You're just mad because he is American and is getting more exposure than those obscure unknown players that you somehow know.
He is the best player for AC Milan this season, and it's not even close. That is better than 80% of Latin American players not from argentina or Brazil, or all of asia outside korea and japan, or even africa outside Egypt or Nigeria
Yea, I see him more up front if anything the move to Milan was more encouraging that he would play regularly & also play in an attacking role of choice to a degree
he was not great at chelsea nevertheless! i feel you frame it that he was good but couldn’t get minutes or couldn’t get momentum. he struggled with these things along side struggling with the quality and intensity of the premier league! that’s just something to accept
Your comment, is similar tone to our sentiment in the video His time at Chelsea, imo he's a player with great potential that is "good" but... it's a club that's was a bit of a rebuild with somewhat unrealistic expectation combined with not receiving consistent minutes in that period. Difficult for any player at the organization to thrive... Which is also supported via the results at Chelsea across the board
bro he is average at best, if he was what your media makes him out be he would play in the biggest teams, stop over rating players just to make a sound that is what England did and look at them, over rated players and no trophies, and it will continue like this.
@@thescoutishere like I really don’t understand why football fans have a need to shit on foreign talent, bro is an American making a Doca video about an American born talent, in a sport dominated by European nations. The perfect move at the perfect time
Premier league was too physical for him. He was injured a lot and every time hed go down it looked like it took 5 years off his face

He has a Italian supercup, multiple international trophies, a champions league and I think he won a trophy in Germany as well

Or greatest import? Cause I mean… His last name is Pulisic. Not very American sounding.
Very few American have American sounding last name
And Mbappe ain’t very French either. Zidane is North African. Ozil ain’t very German. Gomez ain’t very English either.
