Got sustain, great dps which has a hitbox of a truck while her hitbox is so tiny, suzu that negates so much damage and an escape, really good ult as well plus wall climb. Illari is hitscan which requires you to aim plus her hitbox isnt bad either. Broken but still not as broken as kiriko who is untouched throughout.

At the moment the answer to this is without a doubt the support role. Every single support hero right now can be described as at least two of the following criteria: 1) Insanely high heals 2) Able to easily outduel 80% of the DPS cast 3) Incredible self peel 4) Utility in the form of abilities like suzu and immortality - Kiriko is currently one of the best flanking heros in the game between her suzu, self cleanse on TP, and easy to hit headshots that can two shot half the cast. - Ashe, who you used as an example yourself, is essentially outclassed by Illari since she is just Ashe with a self-pocket. - Ana is the original overtuned hero in overwatch with her Anti nade, which was specifically designed to counter transcendence, and nano boost, which is one of the best ults in the game. She also has sleep dart for some self peel against dives. - Baptiste has another one of the best ultimates in the game, which can be used selfishly or for your team to damage boost, immortality, a good mobility option with exo boots, --and high healing and damage. - Zen has a decent self peel option with snap kick, really solid damage, discord orb absolutely melts every hero in the game, and trans is an alright ult too. This is one of the WEAKER support heros, but when your other support peels for you, you're basically unkillable. - Brig is virtually unkillable most of the time, and she has AOE heals from dealing damage. You can't even pretend that's not a stupid mechanic to have in the game. - Mercy's damage boost changes the breakpoints of DPS heros and makes them actually usable heros for once. Every time a DPS hero becomes usable because of mercy pocket, that hero gets nerfed instead of BB getting nerfed because the hero is probably too strong and if they nerfed BB mercy mains would outcry. The devs have failed to do this to Pharah because reasons, so Mercy's existence alone has managed to make Pharah one of the only remaining decent DPS heros without a mercy pocket. - Wifeleaver is the best healbot in the game, tied with mercy. His ult got buffed into complete busted territory and he has pretty good utility for helping out of position teammates. - Moira recently got one of the only weaknesses in her kit removed, being her inability to fade during her ult. She is essentially completely invulnerable to pulse bomb at this point. Her lack of ranged healing is a shortcoming, although this is something that can easily be covered by the other support hero on the team. - Lucio is actually pretty well balanced, especially as far as support heros go, but he's still very often a top pick in high level play because of his utility and how good his movement options are.
OW s6 comms about the deployables are crazy because as a Sombra main, I have to shut them down, and disabling them both AND not getting broken out of stealth can be tricky, if not impossible to follow up on with some actual damage.
