Unfortunately, I had to censor the majority of the Carradine jokes because of good ol' TH-cam. After trying to figure out what could stay and what couldn't, I just took most of them out. Riki-Oh was demonetized last week, so I couldn't risk not getting paid two episodes in a row. My apologies. Hopefully you can still infer the jokes.

I'm really not that sad about that. This is a good movie, one of my favorites, and I was really looking forward to the team talking about it. Having the episode about it being riddled with tired, over used jokes about a man's.. unfortunate death, well it stunk.

I'm really glad you guys did this movie. The jeans that Chuck is wearing he actually sold in the Century catalog back in the early 80's he wore them in a lot of his movies. My mom bought me a pair when I was 9 😁 David Carradine also sent some Chuck's stuntmen to the hospital because he had no control during the fight scenes. He also really hit the girl that played Chuck's daughter. And apparently both chuck and David didn't get along. And chuck warned him that if David hit him the face during a fight scene Chuck was going to retaliate

There is just something about the old school stunt work in the movies that used practical effects that can't be replicated. There was a Burt Reynolds movie the folks took us to back in the day called Hooper, and it was a love letter to the American Stuntman. It featured a young Jan Michael Vincent a few years after his turns in a Disney movie and a hitman in The Mechanic, and before his demons took over, his star was rising. He was good in this flick as a young stuntman coming in, and there are some great cameos. I think you guys would like it, as it seems to track right up your alley. And with the practical stunt work in it, the final sequence had to be shot all in one take with no room for error, and Reynolds insisted on doing a lot of his own stunt work in that and other movies, especially the driving sequences.
    .
There's another Reynolds movie from back in the day called Stick. It doesn't get the greatest of reviews, but it is a fun time. One of the bad guys in the movie was played by a stunt man, and he did a stunt later on in the movie that was a world record at the time, and hadn't been performed without safety equipment before, if I remember correctly. He ad libbed what happened during the fall, and while people on the ground were congratulating him on surviving the stunt he was asking if they got the shot. Stuntmen sure are a different breed.

This was a fun video! A classic Western-Action-Martial Arts hybrid that still ranks as one of Chuck's best. Fun fact: Chuck had those jeans special made so he could perform the kicks in them without ripping. Century Products would go on to shill those jeans in martial arts magazines for years. I had the pleasure of communicating with director Steve Carver on Facebook over the years and he was really proud of this one. RIP, Steve... Aside from someone else mentioning SILENT RAGE (1982)--which you should screen, I highly recommend AN EYE FOR AN EYE (1981, also Steve Carver), FORCED VENGEANCE (1982), A FORCE OF ONE (1979) and THE OCTAGON (1980). These movies represent Chuck at his most fertile martial arts phase!
