Ha , just found out the phone been using is li-po phone ... So that theory is tossed on its head as I have not been having any noticable issues with not caring much for charging method.
I believe those are the ones with battery is very bi polar really good on charging times yet at same time the battery will not last past a couple years at most .. I think those are the type being used not the traditional lithium ion other brands use
