ok 1/ NTO a HUD. This is just a regular display. HUDs reflect on a surface. Marketing at it's worst right there with that company. 2/ The lag is horrid. Barely useable really. 3/ I can do everything this thing can on my own phone and a bluetooth ODBii reader. Phone response is way faster that this, and no wires. Also, $20 for the adapter. 4/ "Uses the GPS, which is accurate" Which made not sense as it was waying 12 but you were sitting still. That', right away, is questionable. It's a pretty device but not really worth it when I can do everything it can do on my phone, including customizing the display as well AND can setup a TRUE HUD to reflect off my windshield.
Personally I have an older car and I feel like it’s useless mines doesn’t read speeds super accurate you have to go in settings to set it up correctly. It says for cars 2005 and up. So be careful buying this and having an older car. I’m probably being biased but the only useful setting are probably the temperature readings because rpm’s and speed along with oil pressure tire pressure you can all read from any cars instrument gauge. For 40 bucks not really worth it in my opinion. I ended up buying new sensors to let me know when my when my oil pressure is low which I manually check every week anyways.
I have a 2006 Chevy Express, which is OBD II Compatible. This device said not supported. I guess if you're lucky you get one that works. GPS worked, but I was looking for more detailed information
Hi, do you know if this is compatible with a 2008 daewoo matiz 1.0 (Chevrolet Spark) the 7 is OBD2 but ive been told it doesnt work in all cars, can someome tell me?
This is just another gauge\cluster... the whole purpose of a heads up display is in the name itself... is to keep your head up looking forwards.. if you have look down to your cluster than its would defeat the purpose of being called 'HUD', still cool though
Hi Carlos, I have a 2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Hybrid. White band on a white numbered analogue speedo. I’m 65 and I can’t see this well in sunlight. What would be the highest quality accurate speedometer for me to stick on dashboard or windscreen with stand out visuals of numbers. Cheers from NZ.
The same way. You have to connect obd to use either of the two. If your only trying to use gps mode it’s really not worth it for 35 dollars. GPS mode is the same with less features only shows distance, travel time, speed and rpm.
@@操碧玉 I think the transmission temperature reading is not real - my car does not output the OBD2 transmission temperature, but there is a transmission temperature value displayed. The transmission temperature tracks up and down with the coolant temperature, the oil temperature shown on the unit does the same thing.
Bought 1 of theses off ebay primary for temp reading (Got a Scion Xd and that doesnt have a temp gauge) and thats pretty accurate imo... Tested it on my tundra 1st and my truck warmed up was at around 192°f The mph maybe its like 5mph off but idk if it needs some more adjustment. For temp reading and warnings (you can set up warnings for temps and mph top speed, revs, etc etc its pretty great) The lag gauge on this video is bad but on mine it wasn't that bad.. its actually quite usable, and for 35$ you cant ask for much either
Hi looks very good and you did an excellent demo……. Do you know if the unit draws power when the car is off…. I would not want it drawing power when I am not in the vehicle….don’t want a dead battery…. Ron
it does pull a little bit of power when the car is off - there's a setting that puts it to sleep when the supply voltage drops below a preset, but it keeps pulling some
It may be an older version, as I have just purchased one and mine appears much more smoother/faster.. could be the car its connected to, I have only tried on one, otherwise I don't know.
My car's odometer screen is broken. Does the sum distance function record mileage permanently, or does it reset to zero every time you turn off the ignition?
Yes, the "Sum Distance" in the settings menu is permanently saved in the device somehow - it is retained when the unit is unplugged and plugged in again (and left unplugged for hours/days)
I installed my and I’ve notice when I put my car on reverse and open my doors, the hazard lights goes on. Do you know why that is. I’ve been trying to figure out why.
Why make it reflect on the windshield when the display can be directly displayed on an LCD screen? No need for HUD. Just a regular gauge that has a lot of data on display. I have the unbranded one with a lot of those blue colored displays. I installed it just for having something to play around with while driving. It looks great especially at night. People see it and they think it's something expensive. I got mine using a coupon on eBay. I got a good discount.
I just got this and it is actually pretty damned cool. But! Anyone else have one that just displays a white screen on startup? It has been happening to mine so I have to keep unplugging and plugging it in. factory reset didn't fix it either.
@@vex_d3fy-_-506 I did. I think the delivery driver tossed it over my fence not paying attention to the "gate is unlocked" part of my delivery instructions. It was replaced and that one worked fine.
Wow, the latency on this terrible. I was looking for something that would display speed and revs faster than the slow analog needle of my focus ST (accelerating hard, i'm at 60kph when it still shows 50) but this is totaly unusable for me. I'd be at 60kph before the digital needle even moved. I might consider it to see the temps and revs of my Aygo though ;) Thanks for the vid!
Nice, looks amazing
Thanks!
how to change the time? coz mine is on military time. thanks

Is there a way to increase latency that the cluster reads the vehicle data ? to make the numbers transition smoothly opposed to choppy?
I don't think so. It's a subtle but I think i notice it in real world usage.
Seems like you no longer use this thing in your more recent videos. Any reason why you ditched it?

Where is the coolant temperature? I didn't see it.
I didn’t see it either
ECT is engine coolant temp
How do you change from C’ to F’ temperature reading?
That really isn’t a HUD unit, it’s more like just a tachometer. It’s another gage.
So can I change the speed to American eagles per beer or is it stuck in km/h?
Miles as well
Just got this. My time is showing military time. 24 hrs. Do you know how to get it to 12 hr mode with am/pm ?
Is the air fuel reading accurate?
I just installed one on my Jeep wrangler, works awesome

Will it work to my crv 06? Thanks
Yes!
Thanks. Its really working right now
Hiii I got the same but my cable got disconnected can u help me to get the photo of the obd 2 side photo with cable colors and pin details
What year is your element? I bought one for my Rsx and it didnt h
Does it show when you when you need to shift
Does it work for 2004 jeep wrangler tj???
Yes it will you have a OBD2 port under your steering wheel.
It say 2008 and up obd2 mine is 2004??

Not a HUD, where is the projection on the windscreen?
The tacho needle shouldn't stutter and move smoothly instead.. why is your unit stuttering?
It may be an older version, as I have just purchased one and mine appears much more smoother/faster.. could be the car its connected to, I have only tried on one, otherwise I don't know.
One more question… what is the other wire with usb plug used for?
You can get power and just use it for GPS speed but no engine data.
My car's odometer screen is broken. Does the sum distance function record mileage permanently, or does it reset to zero every time you turn off the ignition?
I records the mileage but I wouldn't rely on it. Not sure how the memory is saved.

Is the speedometer based off OBD2, GPS, or user selectable?
It is user selectable.
How to adjust the time in the bottom right corner?
Long press (3s) the M button into settings-Time Adjust

in the turbo how do we change it to PSI?
have a question, for the units is it able to be switched to miles per hour?
I just got one today, and yes you can change the unit factor independently on all settings
Does it read transmission temp
My rpm is not working. 2002 grand Cherokee pls help thanks
This unit does not work in obd2 mode for models 2008 and below
There’s no transmission temperature??
there is, but I'm pretty sure it's fake - based on coolant temperature
I like the looks of this product, thanks for sharing.
Did you mount it on the steering column ?
what about mpg
Excellent explanation of these devices.
I am looking for a simple gauge like this which will show instantaneous gas mileage - L/100 KM. Does this device show that?
Yes it does!
How accurate is the speed display? In km/h?
It' accurate based on my phones GPS data. You can calibrate it.

wouldnt even exist without china lmao
When I connect my obd , it shows only the battery volt , but connecting through USB it shows the rpm and speedometer
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I dont think some people know what a HUD actually is.
Right because this is not HUD 😂😂😂
I just got this on Temu for 5 bucks lol no lie
It's not even a heads up display; it's a digital multifunction gauge.
Why would you put an HUD in front of the car's HUD? And what happens when the airbag goes off? HUD shot at your face. That's gotta hurt.
Yeah because the air bag comes out of the gauge cluster

You can change it in the setup menu.
