What a transformation! As a widow myself, I can imagine the gratitude she felt. When you're elderly and alone, your friends are mostly also elderly. Everyone has back problems or shoulder problems or heart problems. You hate, hate HATE to ask your kids for help as their lives are so busy. And sometimes you just cannot afford to pay a lawncare person. What a gift to have received without having had to ask. Thank you for helping!
She has way too many plants. I'll bet she has already planted more. I saw all the new roses and crepe myrtles she had started. I would have accidentally cut some down if I were doing the job. I wonder who is doing her upkeep now?
@@recoilman24 could’ve been a case of she didn’t understand enough about TH-cam or had never heard of it and so finding common ground was the best way to go. She was obviously deeply religious and so connecting via their faith was the best way to go.

This turned out beautifully, but it’s clearly too much for the homeowner to manage. I can only imagine how much a weekly lawn care company would charge her. When I lived in Ca. (Moved to Texas in ‘95) our gardener charged $40 a month, he took care of everything except the flower beds, my husband grew up on a farm and he had the desire to still dig in the dirt, so we took care of the beds. When we can’t take care of our property then we should probably think about a retirement community, although I’m sure most people don’t want to give up their independence, but at a retirement community they wouldn’t have to.
She must have been one of the first in that neighborhood. Those plantings have been there quite awhile. Such a large corner lot. Thank you all for restoring this house and property. Beautiful job.

These guys that worked with me on this one were really great guys. I can tell they are a lot like me when it comes to a servants heart. They would have worked for free, but there no way I would let that happen.
I am a gardener as well, but she had too many plants and had started new rose stems and tiny crepe myrtles. At a certain point, you need to stop if you can't take care of them. I wonder who is keeping it done now?

So freaked out she she could’ve had a homeless person, living behind those bushes on the side of her house, and never knew it if they were quiet . Big tall bushes like that prevent neighbors and police from seeing if somebody’s trying to break into your house also and our so dangerous! 😮Thank you so much for cutting back her bushes all over the house. I would never have thought that it being a place for a homeless person to set up that is quite the scary thought, you are right about it being impossible for neighbours or police to have a clue as to what might be going on in there!

I started watching this guy doing lawns last year, I kept watching episode after episode. I started watching others doing the same thing, but none were as good as Kevin who demonstrate how much he love’s what he’s doing witnessed by how thorough he works. So happy he has two other men helping him now.

It amazes me a total stranger comes in and helps this beautiful old lady out, as you're mowing I look at all those neighbors, yards are perfect, and not one of those neighbors cut❤ her grass. When I grew up we always helped our neighbors. Including mowing the grass and helping them plant grass. Mankind has become so selfish. You are blessed by God every time you help somebody like this.
I totally agree! I have helped neighbors when they needed help. I mowed for our landlord when he had cancer to make sure the property was staying cut and neat looking. ❤ I loved doing special things and going that extra mile to help. It makes you feel so good inside.
From your description, that lady needed a chance to talk about her life just about as much as she needed to be rescued from the overgrowth in her yard. Thanks for spending the time with her. The yard about looked like the "where do we start?" type, but as you two got working, it was a nice relief to find that the design and order could start being recovered pretty rapidly, 5:41. There are now three people.... So one thing that is happening here, is the outdoor space of the property is being restored. It is being restored visually and for factual mobility. Instead of being nearly barricaded from her yard by overgrowth, this avid gardener will be able to be outdoors and enjoy the view from inside or out. I like that there is teamwork. The number of walkways being recovered is also high. We know you would face this down, however long it took, but it is a good thing to see the combined talent together and the increased transformation speed. The home is also being integrated back into the neighborhood. The visual barrier of high growth is being removed. 25:53 is something of a puzzle. What was supposed to be growing there? How was it to look? Watching to see what you all come up with. A lot of hedge to get back into order but on the plus side, it allowed the blooming Crape Myrtle to be shown off for the neighbors pleasure. Turtle...Treasure. (Found and refound.) A brush cutter blade on the front bed was a good idea. You recovered a chunk of street in doing the shovel work at the gutter area. Liked the edger use to cut the tough roots. A good community addition, of repairing the gutter flow and street width loss. Impressed a food place was willing to make a street-side delivery. An excellent contrast at 1:43:51 and generally, the Before and After photos.
I love how meticulous you are. All the trimming and the cutting down of trees to open that house up It looks absolutely beautiful. You're not afraid to tackle a 2-day job. The kid in the white T-shirt is a great worker. Thanks for going above and beyond you rake, you trim, you cut down trees, you sweep it's just amazing. What a great worker you are.

I was thinking the same thing, there is an Aussie guy that has Free Mow Friday’s (maybe heaps of other people and channels do? But he is the first one I have come across) I was thinking that maybe the other two guys since they seemed to enjoy helping out, could start off doing something similar. Join forces and do one free service a month to begin with. I have started volunteering at a local aged care facility and I can honestly say that it has been far more rewarding than I could ever have imagined. I really hope those guys got a taste of it and at some point go on to do something similar more.

The hedge trimming when all three of them were doing the same hedge was amazing! I expected it to have peaks and valleys. Which it would have had if had been doing it alone! 😂 But it showed that all three were definitely pro’s

It amazes me a total stranger comes in and helps this beautiful old lady out, as you're mowing I look at all those neighbors, yards are perfect, and not one of those neighbors cut❤ her grass. When I grew up we always helped our neighbors. Including mowing the grass and helping them plant grass. Mankind has become so selfish. You are blessed by God every time you help somebody like this.
I totally agree! I have helped neighbors when they needed help. I mowed for our landlord when he had cancer to make sure the property was staying cut and neat looking. ❤ I loved doing special things and going that extra mile to help. It makes you feel so good inside.

From your description, that lady needed a chance to talk about her life just about as much as she needed to be rescued from the overgrowth in her yard. Thanks for spending the time with her. The yard about looked like the "where do we start?" type, but as you two got working, it was a nice relief to find that the design and order could start being recovered pretty rapidly, 5:41. There are now three people.... So one thing that is happening here, is the outdoor space of the property is being restored. It is being restored visually and for factual mobility. Instead of being nearly barricaded from her yard by overgrowth, this avid gardener will be able to be outdoors and enjoy the view from inside or out. I like that there is teamwork. The number of walkways being recovered is also high. We know you would face this down, however long it took, but it is a good thing to see the combined talent together and the increased transformation speed. The home is also being integrated back into the neighborhood. The visual barrier of high growth is being removed. 25:53 is something of a puzzle. What was supposed to be growing there? How was it to look? Watching to see what you all come up with. A lot of hedge to get back into order but on the plus side, it allowed the blooming Crape Myrtle to be shown off for the neighbors pleasure. Turtle...Treasure. (Found and refound.) A brush cutter blade on the front bed was a good idea. You recovered a chunk of street in doing the shovel work at the gutter area. Liked the edger use to cut the tough roots. A good community addition, of repairing the gutter flow and street width loss. Impressed a food place was willing to make a street-side delivery. An excellent contrast at 1:43:51 and generally, the Before and After photos.
I love how meticulous you are. All the trimming and the cutting down of trees to open that house up It looks absolutely beautiful. You're not afraid to tackle a 2-day job. The kid in the white T-shirt is a great worker. Thanks for going above and beyond you rake, you trim, you cut down trees, you sweep it's just amazing. What a great worker you are.

I was thinking the same thing, there is an Aussie guy that has Free Mow Friday’s (maybe heaps of other people and channels do? But he is the first one I have come across) I was thinking that maybe the other two guys since they seemed to enjoy helping out, could start off doing something similar. Join forces and do one free service a month to begin with.
I have started volunteering at a local aged care facility and I can honestly say that it has been far more rewarding than I could ever have imagined.
I really hope those guys got a taste of it and at some point go on to do something similar more.

The hedge trimming when all three of them were doing the same hedge was amazing! I expected it to have peaks and valleys. Which it would have had if had been doing it alone! 😂 But it showed that all three were definitely pro’s
