- This was a pretty wild project and you would not believe what it took to convince this woman that I was not a scam. I must have talked to her for about 3 hours the first day I came to the property. When I knocked on the door she would not open the door all the way. I'm not sure if I would either If someone that looked like me came to the door. anyways after about 30 to 40 mins of talking with her she started to become more relaxed with me and opened her door enough to peak her head out and take a better look at me and a little while after that she stepped out to tell me about her property and the stories from all the years that she has lived there. over the next few hours she told me everything from elementary school to where she is at now. the first day I came to this property to work I got a call from my wife and she told me the power had gone out at the campsite where we had our camper was parked. The heat that day was over 100 degrees so I let her know I would be back the next day and I spent the day with my wife and daughter exploring the historical sites of Biloxi. However when I came back the next day she was back to being hesitant about me working at the property. this is not uncommon because even with as well know as free lawn care guy work has become people sometimes think that it might be a con or a scam. Now I was able to talk her in to letting me work at her property but sometimes I find people that are truly in need and it doesn't work out this way. This is actually a great opportunity to let you know a great way that you can help me out. I am currently trying to gather google reviews from viewers just like yourself that have seen the work that I do for people completely free of charge and I have no doubt in my mind that this will become one more place that I can send people so that they know that I am truly going to do the best work that I possibly can at there property and that they are in good hands. If you would like to help by leaving a well worded 5 star review on my google business listing that would be amazing. All of the work I do is 100% free and I'm not looking to get hire but I know with your help I can reach the rank of the most reviewed and highest rated lawn care professional in the world.

What a transformation! As a widow myself, I can imagine the gratitude she felt. When you're elderly and alone, your friends are mostly also elderly. Everyone has back problems or shoulder problems or heart problems. You hate, hate HATE to ask your kids for help as their lives are so busy. And sometimes you just cannot afford to pay a lawncare person. What a gift to have received without having had to ask. Thank you for helping!
She has way too many plants. I'll bet she has already planted more. I saw all the new roses and crepe myrtles she had started. I would have accidentally cut some down if I were doing the job. I wonder who is doing her upkeep now?

This turned out beautifully, but it’s clearly too much for the homeowner to manage. I can only imagine how much a weekly lawn care company would charge her. When I lived in Ca. (Moved to Texas in ‘95) our gardener charged $40 a month, he took care of everything except the flower beds, my husband grew up on a farm and he had the desire to still dig in the dirt, so we took care of the beds. When we can’t take care of our property then we should probably think about a retirement community, although I’m sure most people don’t want to give up their independence, but at a retirement community they wouldn’t have to.

I am a gardener as well, but she had too many plants and had started new rose stems and tiny crepe myrtles. At a certain point, you need to stop if you can't take care of them. I wonder who is keeping it done now?

She probably feels so relieved. My grandma would get so upset if her yard wasn’t mowed. She didn’t have the best looking house, but she always kept it clean inside and out. I can imagine you made her day. She reminds me of my grandmas sister.
So freaked out she she could’ve had a homeless person, living behind those bushes on the side of her house, and never knew it if they were quiet . Big tall bushes like that prevent neighbors and police from seeing if somebody’s trying to break into your house also and our so dangerous! 😮Thank you so much for cutting back her bushes all over the house. These guys that worked with me on this one were really great guys. I can tell they are a lot like me when it comes to a servants heart. They would have worked for free, but there no way I would let that happen.

I understand where she is coming from. To be confused why some nice men wants to take care of her yard. The current generation, doesn't understand this. Not all , but most. Some of my friends kids are glued to their Xbox or phone. On Saturdays. My Father would have taken us to this yard Saturday morning to take care of it without question we went. and, we came back the next time to mow, trim, rake leaves. We did this every Saturday together as a family. It brought us closer to each other and to our Savior Jesus Christ. I hope these videos will inspire others to help one another.
I'm confused. You say the "current generation doesn't understand this" but the older woman thought she was being scammed, while the younger man is offering said kindness and generosity. It's young generations of people doing these TH-cam channels and offering free services. It's older generations who find it strange, crazy, or suspicious. It would seem to me that the older generations think random acts of kindness are unusual, or even stupid, while younger generations are offering help. That would make it seem like the older generations are the ones who think only scammers, or crazies, do kind things for nothing.
In my neighborhood app, people are constantly offering free services. I've given away free food, exchanged garden tools, and offered free flowers, and done ridesharing. I also see a lot of hate on that app from people who have nothing better to do, including a heck of a lot of "older generation" folks."
In reality, kindness isn't about generation, culture, or creed. It's just humanity. Some people are kind. Others see kindness as weakness. Don't tear people down over their age, and don't build arbitrary barriers between groups of people.

From your description, that lady needed a chance to talk about her life just about as much as she needed to be rescued from the overgrowth in her yard. Thanks for spending the time with her. The yard about looked like the "where do we start?" type, but as you two got working, it was a nice relief to find that the design and order could start being recovered pretty rapidly, 5:41. There are now three people.... So one thing that is happening here, is the outdoor space of the property is being restored. It is being restored visually and for factual mobility. Instead of being nearly barricaded from her yard by overgrowth, this avid gardener will be able to be outdoors and enjoy the view from inside or out. I like that there is teamwork. The number of walkways being recovered is also high. We know you would face this down, however long it took, but it is a good thing to see the combined talent together and the increased transformation speed. The home is also being integrated back into the neighborhood. The visual barrier of high growth is being removed. 25:53 is something of a puzzle. What was supposed to be growing there? How was it to look? Watching to see what you all come up with. A lot of hedge to get back into order but on the plus side, it allowed the blooming Crape Myrtle to be shown off for the neighbors pleasure. Turtle...Treasure. (Found and refound.) A brush cutter blade on the front bed was a good idea. You recovered a chunk of street in doing the shovel work at the gutter area. Liked the edger use to cut the tough roots. A good community addition, of repairing the gutter flow and street width loss. Impressed a food place was willing to make a street-side delivery. An excellent contrast at 1:43:51 and generally, the Before and After photos.

It amazes me a total stranger comes in and helps this beautiful old lady out, as you're mowing I look at all those neighbors, yards are perfect, and not one of those neighbors cut❤ her grass. When I grew up we always helped our neighbors. Including mowing the grass and helping them plant grass. Mankind has become so selfish. You are blessed by God every time you help somebody like this.
I totally agree! I have helped neighbors when they needed help. I mowed for our landlord when he had cancer to make sure the property was staying cut and neat looking. ❤ I loved doing special things and going that extra mile to help. It makes you feel so good inside.

I started watching this guy doing lawns last year, I kept watching episode after episode. I started watching others doing the same thing, but none were as good as Kevin who demonstrate how much he love’s what he’s doing witnessed by how thorough he works. So happy he has two other men helping him now.

I was helping an elderly woman to move,AND WAS ACTUALLY accidentally pushed OFF THE porch and FELL AND BROKE MY NECK,AND WAS TAKEN to SHOCK TRAUMA,AND AFTER TWO weeks,I WENT TO a REHAB TO LEARN to WALK AGAIN,AT 62 YEARS OLD! BUT IT TOOK NEARLY SIX months BEFORE I COULD BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE wheelchair!
