Investors who have bought at high prices wont be able to exit easily. See end users dont really care of the market for 4/5 years. Example like delhi is a matured market with mainly end users so no speculation even if market falls will only matter to the people who want to move out.
Gurgaon is a total speculative market, 70%+ investors are there and when they wont be able to sell market will crash, you want to call it a slowdown its ok, as investors who do not have deep pockets will sell as distress.

IIT IIM graduates are not finding fat packages cushy jobs now .. 100's of Engineering colleges have closed in last 2-3 years as no one is taking the courses .. TIER 2 and TIER 3 buying land or low rise makes more sense specially cities like lucknow, kanpur, ahmedabad, Jaipur etc .. Delhi, GGN Noida is overcrowded and highly overpriced for people buying on loans, etc
