One rule mistake. If you have zero dice left, you take one die back. So you will always roll one die until you crash, choose to land or make it to deep space.
Yeah, that’s a pretty grave error 😬 Makes the game a lot harder/more boring if missed out.
I was coming here to say exactly this! You always have access to a single die, even if all have been used. This allows the commander to keep pushing their luck indefinitely. So when Nikki rolled all 2's, she could have kept rolling. This is a major rules oops. Still, a super fun play-through of a super fun game!
huge mistake, they basically missed a key rule.
The situation didn't come up often in their game, but it was interesting how it may have effected their overall strategy. Especially Lincoln valued keeping dice over moving since afterburner roles were the only real way to reach the end.
Been waiting for this one, AND THE BROTHER MURPH! Awesome!
HEY! Bros Murph! Good to see you with Lincoln and Nikki! Can't wait to see this play out👍
Great to see Mike and Nick back on GameNight. Thanks for the teach, really cool game. ☺
Love the theme, push your luck, and all the mechanics of this game. It is definitely a game I will add on my wishlist!
On this Wish List it goes! Thanks for the play!
Cute bangs Nikki!! 😍
39:30 Oh yes! Good ol' snake with an uncomfortable number of eyes, everybody's favorite dice roll
This feels very much like Cloud 9 (redone as Celestia). My wallet is happy I don’t need to replace a game I already own and I enjoyed The Brothers Murph bringing that push-your-luck energy which makes games like this so fun (and why I don’t tend to win them) 😃
I was thinking this exact same thing! lol
This game has such nice push your luck mechanics.
This game reminds me of Celestia. There's some obvious differences, but they both have the same "shared fate" push your luck mechanic.
Yes, I couldn't think of what game this reminded me of, but it's Celestia.
Looks like a fun game! They need to make a similar game going under ground and collecting treasures like a D&D version
My Island and now MLEM! Who exactly is this Knizia fellow!?!
If this is sarcasm, well done :) If not, he is arguably the most prolific game designer ;)
Confession: Had this game in the queue as the 2nd game to play for our last game night, but we took too long with the 1st game, so didn't get to play MLEM yet. I'm excited to play it, though! Anyone have comments on MLEM vs. First Rat?
They would make great back to back games! They are both great games. Thanks for the note and for watching -Lincoln
As a Canadian I say "Game Genic...Expensive Supplies". They look wonderful, but they're so expensive in Canada.
From all the times I've played this I did not know you could use multiple groups of dice - either was taught wrong or nobody ever did it!
6 twos?? That's like, super yahtzee right there 😂
BGG, your content is amazing! Your videos increase my love for board games, and I truly appreciate the effort you put into creating this excellently produced, fun content. However, I've noticed a few key rule oversights in your playthroughs of this game. For instance, you missed grouping the dice in the previous playthrough and overlooked the ability to keep one die this one. These rules are important for an accurate gameplay experience.
To help improve future videos, consider having at least two people learn each game to ensure all rules are covered. Your dedication to creating engaging content is evident, and I offer these suggestions out of love and a desire for you to keep thriving. Keep up the great work!
I hate to say it but you have made a pretty massive error, you basically cannot run out of dice, if you have nothing to roll you must reroll a placed dice until you crash or land. The whole playthrough is therefore kinda screwed 😢
Honestly if a rules error is consistent through the whole game then you’re just playing a house rule. Nothing is “screwed” if it doesn’t break the game.
Well, it's just as well cats have nine lives; with the number of crashes in this game, it would have been a - wait for it - CATastrophe if they didn't!
What can I say..? It's got a space theme... cats... push your luck, and of course, rolling dice, and I'm in heaven! And notice how much smiling and laughter was at that table, and I sat through the whole video, grinning like a Cheshire Cat (OK, no more cat puns). Not only has this game been added to my wishlist, but it has jumped right to the top of the queue to be ordered on payday, which just so happens to be Tuesday!
I was aware there was a game called MLEM Space Agency, but for some reason never looked more into it, so thank you guys for bringing it to my attention, you all just earned your pay for the week!😺🚀🪐
