Seeing as Toothless’ behaviour was based on a cat, I think it’s more likely the hand thing is a sign of trust. When you hold your hand up to a cat and the cat trusts you, the cat will head butt you. Also, cats head butt things to get their own scent on them. This is theirs. This is safe. Could be the same with dragons. You don’t leave your head vulnerable to get hurt. If a cat, or dragon, feels ok to let you pet their head it means that they feel safe with you. I don’t know about the looking into the soul thing. Maybe if the dragon and human have known each other a long time. But initially I think it’s more of a sign of trust that the human won’t hurt you

so dragons are like bears and dogs combined into one animal. dogs can sense fear and emotion and can be empathetic, and bears can also sense fear, which is why you curl up in a ball, and put your hands over your head when you encounter a bear, so the bear knows you're afraid of it, and you're defenseless and weak, so it will leave you be. And I assume it's also why so many Russian people play with bears. and dogs, like many pets, are influenced by the good people in control of them, bad people influence them to do bad things.

I think the body language has a lot to do with it as well, and even falls into sort of a pack mentality of sorts. The main key points is to exhibit similarities, then show vulnerability as a means of trust. In showing that you will not harm them, you also show that you trust them not to harm you as well, and in that the mutual bond is formed.
I saw it Sunday with friends. Our group had 8 adults age 30's to 70's plus a couple 8-year olds. We're all members of a sci-fi fan club in our town. We all love sci-fi, fantasy, superheroes, etc. We regularly meet to do fun activities or hang out with fellow geeks & to raise funds to help our local food bank & a few other local charities.
I like the idea of dragons beginning to trust another once they meet the human in a state of vulnerability. That would show the dragon that the human trusts them enough to be around them, even though the dragon could kill them, no problem. The dragon knows that and in turn, puts themselves in a vulnerable state by choosing to approach and trust the human. I like this because it shows that dragons and humans really are able to coexist in peace and friendship.
But then he’d have to kill the dragons. That’s what the Dragonborn does. Dragons are terrorizing Skyrim so the Dragonborn kills them and absorbs their souls so they stay dead

Please do a video about how the only Disney movies that are coming out now are just live action remakes of older successful animated movies. And 99 times out of a hundred, the cartoons were much, much MUCH better. Hell, EVERY SINGLE Disney movie I know of that's coming out for the next few years are cartoon remakes. I wonder when they'll make live action Frozen and PIXAR movies as well

Hey Electric Jupiter it’s explained in the film as they changed back.. in order to break the spell Naveen has to kiss a princess. The only reason it didn’t work when he kissed Lottie is because she was only a princess for a limited time and they were too late. As soon as Tiana married Naveen she became a princess therefore when they kiss it works

I have a toy story/ monster inc theory well you know how in real life kids would hold a stuff animal or toy with them while they slept so the toy would protect them from the monsters. My theory is that one of the toys purposes is to protect their kid from the monsters and they act as obstacles around the room to mess up the monsters without being seen. That's why in the training simulation they have thoes toys on the floor to help prepare for any obstacles. I know in the comics the monsters don't believe the toys are alive but that doesn't mean that the toys don't know about the monsters and seeing how toys love their kid. I'm sure they'd try their best to protect them from the monsters
Here is a thought for a theory to discuss. Question " Who is/was duchess mate and the kittens birth father in the aristocats" Yes I know thomas o' mally came into that roll during the film and at the end actually became the dad. But they met o'mally after edgar dropped them off. So of course with duchess already having her kittens prior to the film, she would have had to mated with another male cat. Who was this cat? Spoiler alert ahead I'm interested in your thoughts about New Berk. The people of berk settled there initially because it provided more room for the dragons but once the dragons left for the Hidden World, the Berkians (or New Berkians as the case may be) didn't need the extra space New Berk provided, NOR do they need the thousand (+) cliffs that New Berk is located on given that they are a sea faring people Would they decide to move back to Berk? Also WHY would Fishlegs, a truly MASSIVE viking decide to choose Meatlug as his dragon who was, by my estimate an extremely small dragon when compared to Fishlegs. Particularly when there are many more larger dragons to choose from that wouldn't put such a strain on a gronkle, the bumblebee of the dragon world

I have a toy story/ monster inc theory well you know how in real life kids would hold a stuff animal or toy with them while they slept so the toy would protect them from the monsters. My theory is that one of the toys purposes is to protect their kid from the monsters and they act as obstacles around the room to mess up the monsters without being seen. That's why in the training simulation they have thoes toys on the floor to help prepare for any obstacles. I know in the comics the monsters don't believe the toys are alive but that doesn't mean that the toys don't know about the monsters and seeing how toys love their kid. I'm sure they'd try their best to protect them from the monsters
Here is a thought for a theory to discuss. Question " Who is/was duchess mate and the kittens birth father in the aristocats" Yes I know thomas o' mally came into that roll during the film and at the end actually became the dad. But they met o'mally after edgar dropped them off. So of course with duchess already having her kittens prior to the film, she would have had to mated with another male cat. Who was this cat? Perhaps sergeant tibs from 101 dalmations? or lucifer from cinderella, or pom pom from cinderella 2 ( all based on looks. ) Wotso, since I can get far off with things, I don't really trust myself with a video on this. Maybe this is something you'd like to explore into
edit: forget pom pom, it just redawned on me pom pom was a female and lucifers gf, though that did bring another idea to me. Dang this is fun

I'm interested in your thoughts about New Berk. The people of berk settled there initially because it provided more room for the dragons but once the dragons left for the Hidden World, the Berkians (or New Berkians as the case may be) didn't need the extra space New Berk provided, NOR do they need the thousand (+) cliffs that New Berk is located on given that they are a sea faring people
Would they decide to move back to Berk?
Also WHY would Fishlegs, a truly MASSIVE viking decide to choose Meatlug as his dragon who was, by my estimate an extremely small dragon when compared to Fishlegs. Particularly when there are many more larger dragons to choose from that wouldn't put such a strain on a gronkle, the bumblebee of the dragon world
