Personally, I agree with Max. I've been a fan of Armour King longer than King himself. He has always been one of my mains. To the extent I didn't like OG King at all. This T3+ King, I eventually got an appreciation for.
Out all of the fighting game out there, he's by far the scariest grappler, yes even more than Zangief. Even tho you can throw break in this game, guessing kings throw and reacting on it is painful. He isn't slow and he deals shit tons of damage into mixup into more mixup.

King is a clear reference to Tiger Mask, a real Japanese wrestler of the 70’s with a dedicated famous anime. The ending move is a grappling used by the recently passed Antonio Inoki (a friend of Tiger Mask in the anime)

I am no tekken player. Game is way too complicated for me. But the moves king pulls out in this trailer really make me want to learn it. Some of the coolest stuff I've seen in a fighting game.
It's really not that complicated, I mean, the skill ceiling is stupidly high, but you can enjoy the game with way less than top-end player. Just learning combos alone in training mode can be fun in Tekken, with the right mindset, ranked is all fun.

Slow grapplers were a thing of the past. Now, its all about aggressive grapplers that pressure you to read either a strike or command grab.
Tekken grapplers don't need to be slow, because you can step and break throws, so there is no real need to keep them away from you
This is exactly how Terminator is in MK11

IMO I think Max would dig Armor King. Armor King's more strike focused plus he can mix you up really well too. Plus he's got a Mishima uppercut

I’ve never been more happy to be a King fan than right now! If Armor King shows up, I think it would be great to see them act like total opposites. King the Babyface and Armor King the Heel or Tweener and really lean into the cheesiness. Tekken having hokey mess like that is what I live for.

I am no tekken player. Game is way too complicated for me. But the moves king pulls out in this trailer really make me want to learn it. Some of the coolest stuff I've seen in a fighting game.
It's really not that complicated, I mean, the skill ceiling is stupidly high, but you can enjoy the game with way less than top-end player. Just learning combos alone in training mode can be fun in Tekken, with the right mindset, ranked is all fun.
I love that he just addresses the crowd on the mic with vicious Jaguar Growls and Roars.
