Beautiful water colouring. Some pieces of art feel to me like they need a light spattering and others do not. I usually cover up the main part of the image and lightly splatter the background. Your finished work is gorgeous.
Thank you Carol! I have found that if I am not totally 'happy' with my colouring the finished look then the splatters definitely make a difference, and I do like the look that they give, but since I started I am finding it hard to stop lol.
I just love the way you hold your brush when watercoloring. I'm always put a death grip on mine. I'm off now to put that coloring book on my wish list for the next order. I currently have something coming from Altenew...like always. lol

I forgot to say, my husband would concur with yours. If I do splatters his comment is, “why on earth did you ruin that lovely card after putting so much work into it?” Of course that’s not my opinion. I think it adds an artistic touch. Perhaps that’s what they don’t appreciate 🤷🏼♀️

I like the splatters, too! That round brush that you're using... it looks like a size 8 brush but you said it's a size 4? I need to have a closer look at these brushes; they look really nice! Beautiful card, as always!
It says 4 on the handle but holding up against my size 8 Silver it's a similar size for sure... maybe if I do a live with watercolours I can show them together and compare....

The splatter is always the hardest to decide on. I try, but I think mine always end up either too small or I go crazy and it's too much. More practice is needed.
I like the splatters. You could have masked off the large rose so it did not get splatters on it and stood out from the rest… but I think it looks great as it is.

I use it ALL the time to frame my work or decide on placement, it's fab!
