@Little Village Homestead I had a big harvest of patty pan squash. Thank you for your video. My question is about the size of the squash. I do have some larger ones. Are these okay flavor wise to use? Thank you
@@LittleVillageHomestead what were you pressure canning? I put an ad on Marketplace to teach a class on pressure canning meat. I didn't think there would be much interest...ummmm I got hundreds of people responding. In 6 days 5000 people had viewed the ad. I about died. I actually took it down because I was so overwhelmed and people were starting to get a little pushy. Not sure what to do. I didn't want more than 5 at a time and was going to charge $25 a person. Just didn't know there would be so much interest. 😂
I've never eaten a patty pan squash, but I like all the other different squash I have eaten. I will have to research on ways to cook with these .... thank you for introducing this new squash to me. I will have to buy some and see how they taste. Someone is busy as a bee canning too I think....I hear a pressure canner in the background ... lol
Renea have your hubby take a piece of wood that is comfortable in your hand and put a few nails in and just let them stick out just enough to stick in what ever you are slicing .
Hello, I think this is great. What a good way to keep everything so that it does not go bad or spoil. I like the idea of the patty pan squash coming out like chips, so much healthier for us. I tried making kale chips and yeah that didn't work out and I will not buy the store brought ones because they put to much in and on the kale. I only got that one cucumber and I did get some basil last night. I have some little basil leaves that I am trying to let grow a little bigger, but the green bucket everything is gone in it except the sunflower. I did a video on it and I think I have cried for a week. I will do things differently next year for sure. Thank you for sharing, God bless, stay safe and have a wonderful day.
Hi Renea!!! Would you believe I have never ate a patty squash. Bet they are good. If I see them at a farmers stand I will buy a few to try them out. Nice video. Have the greatest day dear girl!!! Your friend. DiDi
What brand mandolin is that?
where do you find patty pan squash seeds? I would like to have some for next summer's garden!

When I dehydrate my bell peppers there isn't anything but pealing left . What did I do wrong?

Crispy dried veggies can puncture a bag, better to store in a jar. Pull a vacuum on your jar and it Will keep for a number of years.
Love to watch you dehydrate!! I dehydrate a LOT!! Enjoyed so much!! 💛
Very good Renea, I have never tasted patty pan squash.

♥️👍♥️😍
I have never heard of them before. Just curious if you did not can anything for a while how long would the stuff in your pantry last you?
about 2 good years and some would be there for the third year. The dehydrated stuff will last many years.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Nice

I just slice them and other times I cut them in cubes.
I was the one that asked you and I forgot . Ignore the last question.
I am sorry that I could not remember it was you. but I hope you can see now that yours are just the way they should look.
