I think your younger brother still needs you. It felt like you really want a relationship with him but he has disconnected so much that it's hard to act like nothing happened and just forget all you did.

I think you really need to apologise, like a deep apology with therapy (sometimes sorry is not good enough, as the other girl in the video said). It's very sad but it looks like your brother is going through it, you were technically (though trying to guide him) physically and emotionally abusive...I hope you guys work it out, prayers 🙏🏿

That's just it! This video made me look back on how I treated my siblings and that's exactly the way my parents disciplined me. I felt it was the norm then and that's why I related that way to my siblings. When I look back, all I see is abuse and trauma. I want to be a better parent to my kids and model that relationship for them.

I may be wrong but I feel Henry struggles with extreme control and I genuinely worry for his future family. I grew up with my uncle who I thought was my brother until I was a teenager before I was understood who he was to me. He is 9 years older than me and has never once insulted or hit me. He gave me the best advice and care and protection. Today we are best of friends and I couldn’t imagine having a different person I call my sibling. I pray for you James

Until someone would realize it’s a trauma on its own, I was a parent when I should be parented ( if that makes sense) so I saw through her immediately. I just don’t know how to explain it. I just pray she finds people that’ll bring out her inner child and heal it. She kept talking about things she learnt on her own and painful experiences she wouldn’t want her sister to go through, should we also talk about how ladies like us find it so hard to give up control. I pray you find people that’ll pour into you as much as you pour into them, I pray you find people that heal the child in you.

The more reason James should forgive Henry and let go, it's not like it's really intentional, there is this transfer of aggression to the younger parents, I think Henry went through a lot too seriously, even it was mentioned that James normally chastise Amanda the youngest, it's not intentional, it might look like hatred but he's the older bro, he didn't know what he was doing seriously, he has to carry out the responsibilities of being the oldest child, I'm sure he regrets it but we are humans and we make mistakes, it's not intentional, it's emotions, aggressions, uncontrollable anger, and faulty upbringing, James please try and forgive your brother and let your mind be free..you will feel a whole new sense of renewal..

I've actually experienced what James is passing through. My brother is 10yrs older than me, it's got to a point I had to fight my way out of his brutality, though he doesn't mean to be brutal, He tried to show example through discipline and he overdid it. Now I'm older, I feel like it's because our father was not really around and our mother wasn't the best role model to be honest (We were not proud of her). But we're good now, we help each other, the best way we can from a distance because we know we can't bear to stay together.

The culprits in the case of all these siblings are their parents. It really boils down to the model they show their children. If parents are more affectionate in parenting their kids they will teach their kids to be with each other. If their parents are austere it would show in how their kids treat each other. So we need to strive to be better parents than the ones we've had.
