Very few people can make a living on TH-cam these days. TH-cam is trying to transform itself into something like Hulu with mostly mainline content from commercial sources rather than amateur TH-camrs. It is not only difficult to make money unless you have millions of subscribers, it is difficult to get there now because of the algorithms, the cancel culture, the copyright strikes, etc. I think that is why everyone is moving to live streaming in order to make their money on superchats, Paypal, and Patreon.
