Kinda dumb that they give Human Torch the Future Foundation suit when his death is why the F4 renamed themselves, and the devs then chose not to add Spider-Man's Future Foundation suit as he was Torch's replacement.
I like how all of Peter’s Spider-Man suits are references to different suits he’s worn (Spider Armor, Symbiote and Iron Spider). I don’t like how alternate colors were given in place of actual costume changes but I wish that all of the alternate colors were at least references to something. You can tell that they tried with some like Daredevil’s Shadowland coloring and “Daredevil Yellow”-inspired alternate coloring on his “Man Without Fear” costume, Gray Hulk, Drax’s MCU coloring and even Venom’s alternate coloring but most either just had no effort put into them at all or the bare minimum... I hope they learn from this and do better in the next game!

Oh I was happy they give notice to that Brown and yellow Wolverine costume even if it wasn't the exact design from the comics, also Cyclops's alternative Astonishing color could also be a reference to Death of X, and honestly I don't like the Red Fantastic Four costumes, it looks visually wrong to me, I wish they'd have done the light blue & white inverse from their classic 80's suits.
My ONLY problem with this game is that we have wasp and no antman and we also have gambit but no rouge...idk why they thought we would want elsa bloodstone over rouge or antman.. PLUS why is there only one inhuman playable? It wouldve been sick to play as blackbolt or medusa or even lockjaw. I like crystal but she doesnt fit into any teams besides the avengers.
Agreed! At least antman had his giantman moment, and he probably would have been just a weaker wasp. But I agree I’d rather have rogue or antman over Elsa bloodstone, hell even carnage. That being said this game was amazing
I feel like there were a bunch of characters from the story mode that were meant to be in the roster but ended up getting cut for time. E.g. Vision, Ant-Man, Beast, Black Bolt, Medusa. Beast in particular because he he drives a lot of the cutscenes from the X-Mansion all the way to Attilan.
i think Elsa is cool and it is doing something like the old ultimate alliance games did of taking lesser known characters and having them here to introduce more people to them

I don't mind a grind but it figures the main unlockable costume i want (captain marvel) is locked behind one of the hardest challenges in the game lol. I'd rather do grinding AFTER i have the cool skins.
As a star -lord fan I love his alternative costumes from the comic and Gamora looks badass now so I’m definitely gonna plan on using her and leveling her up.
I'm happy with all of Captain America's costumes. He is my favorite character, so that's probably to be expected. But I loved the Winter Soldier film so his alternate default costume looks great to me. And his Super Soldier outfit from the comics is probably my favorite outfit for Steve Rogers, love seeing that energy shield here!
25:29 Personally I think that’s a good recolor because it’s a reference to the comics where the black suits all had blue/purple accents. I do think it would’ve been cooler if he was a carnage recolor, but I think that would’ve fit MUCH better on the anti venom recolor. Edit: Also, the green and yellow suit probably isn’t a reference to anything, because toxin is red and black, not green. Edit 2: I have just made a realization 3 weeks later; the green and yellow suit is a reference to electro as in the boss fight against venom, he eats electro to gain his power. I can’t see any other thing it could be, there really isn’t any green symbiotes.
What they should’ve done is have the recolor of the default suit be a purple instead of blue so that it’s the ultimate venom, then the blue should’ve been saved for the anti venom recolor, keep the red eyes, and then make the face and spider white, and just like that you have an excellent venom 2099
Y'know, up until this game, one of my very favorite things about the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series was the alternate skins, and especially in the first one. The skins in 3 are hilariously disappointing almost all the way around. I can probably count on one hand how many I actually like (Age of Apocalypse, Anti-Venom, and Planet Hulk). What makes this worse is that most of the ones you have to unlock through mission progression aren't even worth what you'll have to go through to get them - and a lot of those are just palette swaps, which is really really lazy on the developers' part.
Yeah 100%, you can tell that for the first two games they were really caring for the game itself in terms of content and the alternate costumes. You could see the love, with this one the other alternate costumes just because they had to
The alts in this game are literally better than the ones in MUA2, and that game doesn't even have an alt for every character (looking at you, Nick Fury).
Dread Pirate Roberts ( daredevil), House of M Psylocke, Age of Apocalypse Punisher and Anti-Venom are my faves. Reasons why i maxed this team out honestly. Of course planet hulk and Gwenom are the next in line.

Man I really hate that we don’t get a classic Spidey costume without the blue on the shoulder and gloves. It feels very MCUish, and I really prefer just to see the nozzle of the webshooters under the glove than the over the glove design. Really meaningless nitpick I know, but it bothers me haha. Also, the symbiote logo on the iron spider is... weird lol

Got all characters at 300 and filled in all the Alliance Enchantments and all costumes. Just curious to why The Fantastic Four has blacked out costume slots. Plus only have 99% of the Gallery completed with only 300/301 art left. Curious as to how to get those last costumes for the 4 and the last art piece.

Don't know what's more lackluster; the costumes being mostly recolors when they all could've been wildly different uniforms or even characters like they did for Natasha/Yelena, or the limited character roster. They used up all their slots on just the A-listers.

wow, I just bought my son a Switch for his 7th birthday after not having a game system since getting rid of my 360 10 years ago, I was really looking forward to the costumes here because I was so fond of MUA. Not only were the choices in costumes better and more comic-related, but each costume change meant a new power set! I was disappointed that most of the characters have two costumes with two color schemes, and all the powers are the same, what a disappointment
So their goal was to choose alternates that absolutely nobody wanted? Seriously, 99% of these costumes do not provide any incentive to go through the bullshit to get them.

Youll get them after finishing the levels so you can just Blitz through it as quickly as possible.

Most event costumes move to Shield Depot when event is over. Update store and check there!

Hey tony is there requirements to go unlock costumes in shield depot because I looked for street wear miles and did not find it in his character tab in the depot
I think you may have to finish story but not sure of exact points and difficulty. Just keep plugging away and they will appear bit by bit.

TonyBingGaming yeh i thought it’d be that, too, but just his base Extremis appearance shows up. I thought it might be in one of the events going on at the moment as well, but there isn’t an Iron Man costume in the reward table. Do i have to complete something specific for it to show up? All i’ve done is complete the main story on Mighty, working through superior, and unlocked the DLC 1 & 2 Chars except Pheonix. It’s an odd situation.

Ms Marvel white alternative costume is not in the shield depo. I just started superior difficulty to.

Are they because I got the game about a week ago and still haven’t unlocked the dlc characters but for some reason they have an event for the danger rooms and some give out costumes are they the same ones in the depot

Don't know what's more lackluster; the costumes being mostly recolors when they all could've been wildly different uniforms or even characters like they did for Natasha/Yelena, or the limited character roster. They used up all their slots on just the A-listers.

wow, I just bought my son a Switch for his 7th birthday after not having a game system since getting rid of my 360 10 years ago, I was really looking forward to the costumes here because I was so fond of MUA. Not only were the choices in costumes better and more comic-related, but each costume change meant a new power set! I was disappointed that most of the characters have two costumes with two color schemes, and all the powers are the same, what a disappointment
Yeah they are disappointing for sure. Enjoy his birthday present anyway haha (I'm the opposite and my son has my Switch now).
So their goal was to choose alternates that absolutely nobody wanted? Seriously, 99% of these costumes do not provide any incentive to go through the bullshit to get them.
