I wish they would have give us more control in leveling up like X men legends that game had secrets & unlocks all over the level only certain mutants can find also 'flashbacks/time travel' where the outfits changed to what ever marvel used at the time it was a better game for the time
No “in game purchases” but the title says a lot. You either should have to pay or play to unlock characters, not both. You have to pay for the FF but you STILL have unlock them. And thats only after you beat the whole game
Hi, I just bought the game and the DLC a bit later. However I cannot access the DLC content con the Menu Select (The Rise of the Phoenix and Shadow of Doom cannot even be selected). Does anyone know if I have to finish the main story first in order to access the DLC packs?
As you progress through the story the dlc will be unlocked. Rise of the Phoenix unlocked for me as soon as I beat the chapter of the story in the X men mansion.

Superior should be doable with a team at 150 or so. The final difficulty (Ultimate) has a final fight rated at 250. I was able to clear it with a team at level 100, but it all depends on your skill level.
So from my understanding I’m technically purchasing these characters so I can unlock them instead of having to do the work but I still have to do the work to unlock that was the whole point of buying it if you still have to do some kind of work to get it
Do you have to beat the main game to progress through the dlc? I just picked up the game and I waited because I mained the human torch in the other 2 games and only cared to play as him. I'm assuming I have to complete the dlc in order since I can't just jump straight to the 3rd dlc?
You will need to complete the main story quest on either Friendly or Mighty difficulty to unlock the DLC content (once you've purchased the DLC, of course). If you do purchase the DLC, you have access to Deadpool early and can sub him onto your team immediately, though you will need to quit to the title screen to unlock him. As far as I'm aware, the DLC is available all at once, but there is a steep learning curve with the Shadow of Doom (3rd DLC) if you haven't picked up the core game mechanics. That being said, I do have a lot of fun using Human Torch.

Have you played through the gauntlets at all yet? More gauntlets will be listed as you play through the ones that are available to you. The gauntlets are also unique to each DLC menu.

For the dr. Doom ultimate mode boss fight what level should I be recommended to do it because my team is wolverine, dr. Doom, thanos (regular) and black panther and he is hard asf my team is like level 97 maybe 96 on all my characters each

I bought the Black Order edition game and it has the DLC’s already available, and I went through some of the story mode and it said I now have access to the gauntlets but it won’t let me go through them, do you have to be a certain level
Out of all the DLC gauntlets only the curse of the vampires gauntlet is playable. I have beaten the game in Friendly, and on chapter 6 in Superior. Good question. All the characters in this video require the DLC pass to be purchased. There are 6 additional characters that can be acquired with just the base game, I made a video about that one as well. As far as I'm aware, you do not get the Menu Select option unless you have purchased the DLC, but I purchased the DLC bundle when I bought the game new, so it's always been there since the first DLC pack was introduced in October 2019.

You'll need to be sure to clear each gauntlet in the phase in order to unlock the higher phases. Most phases has parts that do not appear until you have cleared the preceding part. Sometimes restarting the game helps, too. Let me know if you have any further questions.
What level do you recommend to start doing these gauntlets and adding these characters to my roster? I just finished story mode and my favorite team levels are 35- 40
You can easily unlock the Marvel Knights, X-Men, and Fantastic Four with a team of that level. You may want to increase your team level to 70 or 80 before unlocking Doctor Doom, and to unlock Thanos (Infinite) I did my run with a Level 100 team, but that final quest is rated at a Level 240 difficulty and will be increasingly difficult the lower level your team is.
I unlocked Doom with that same team on my first try, but I also have played this game relentlessly for 2 years and hold 3 speedrun records for it, so I offer these suggestions to assist the more casual players.
I used the F4 characters to unlock Doom. It's been a while since I unlocked all the characters, but I'm pretty sure the team I used to get Thanos Infinite was Wolverine, Miles Morales, Gambit, and Doctor Doom.
Pro tip if you're referring to the giant head eye Lazer of the mission, I believe is where the celestial head shoots eye Lazers you can just use colossus steel skin ability. It's slow 🦥 but you can survivor it by using colossus steel skin & the others will automatically follow you without taking damage. I'm assuming that's what you're stuck on???
Where do you find the Morbius gauntlet? All I can see in my menu are Outbreak and the gauntlets for Punisher, Blade, and Moon Knight. Update: I have now unlocked the morbster.

Have you fully completed the main story? If not, you'll want to do that and make sure you either let the credits play out or skip them. DO NOT CLOSE THE GAME. You'll need the game to go back to the main menu after completing the game to trigger full access to the DLC chapters.
I just bought the expansion pass and I still can’t find those gauntlet challenges where you unlock Punisher, Blade, Moon Knight, and Morbius. I only see Level 5 and there were only 3 challenges I only had to do and I just wanted to get those DLC characters what am I supposed to do?
Make sure the game is up to date (as long as your Switch is connected to internet, it should be, current version is 4.0.1), and then you will need to play through the full story mode on Friendly or Mighty difficulty (make sure you skip through the cutscenes instead of exiting out), and that should give you access to higher difficulties and unlock the DLC Menu selector.

I wouldn't think so, but I've had the DLC since day one, so if it is I wouldn't know. I think you may still have the content but if you want the characters you'll need to purchase the DLC.

It won't let me even go higher than mighty difficulty for the doom dlc.
Have you played through the Doom DLC on Mighty? You need to beat it on the highest difficulty available to progress to the next difficulty.

You can have 5 saves per profile. You can mange them in the System tab on in the main menu.

It won’t let me play the gauntlet on rise of the phoenix and it just keeps repeating the first gauntlet on the vampire one. I’m so confused

Ugh the game lied after i beat shadow of doom it said the true reward would be by beating it on superior but it doesnt unlock at the end of superior

I wouldn't think so, but I've had the DLC since day one, so if it is I wouldn't know. I think you may still have the content but if you want the characters you'll need to purchase the DLC.

You will need to unlock each set of characters in order, but I believe you can access the different DLC chapters in any order.

Synergy attacks can be done by holding ZR and selecting a highlighted ability. Note that not all abilities can be used in a synergy attack.
