I worked in plastic factory for about 15 years. One thing that makes plastic more brittle if the factory uses a lot of recycled plastic. If a machine isn't running we turned the temp up or down and that makes a big difference on how brittle they are. If you write the company and let them know of the problem many times they'll replace it for you. The companies don't want a bad name. Something to think about when you have nothing to do. LOL . Walking the fence line brought back many happy memories. I was raised on a dairy farm. I went with dad when he checked fence. Those were special times to me.

Wow I wouldn’t have guessed. That is good info though. I think maybe if I end up having more problems I might take you up on that. Yes I don’t mind walking the Fenceline. Kind of fun.

Old news is old, probably. But I believe the bison like that shaded spot because it feels safer to them. It is reported that they'll respect a fence when they can't see through it, and old mountain men used to say the calves would shove their heads under bushes when all their parents were shot dead, and they would believe themselves hidden even with their hindquarters poking out. Based on these observations, your bison like the woods because it gives them cover and comfort.

Great video reminds me of our days of electric fence and our cows would get out. We had to be careful going under that fence so as not to get stung by the electricity. Look up your soil types if you haven’t. I was surprised how good trees grew in the different types and which breeds grew better in which type of soil it was planted in. Interesting side note soil composition will give you different minerals in the forage. You may only need one mineral element instead of a variety. One rancher I watch puts out the different types and the animals choose which minerals they are low on that will tell you what minerals the ground is lacking. Thanks for posting all the videos I’m learning a ton of new stuff.

    • @BrokenArrowBison

I’m not sure why they broke. Some other people have reached out to me and said that they have had problems with the plastic actually being a bad batch. Sorry , I only speek a little ENGLISH . Your littles bisons look very calms . Your problem result in the electrical ISOLATORS , very too fragiles !
Because your meadow is very unevennes , the treast wires are stretched in différents directions .
No problem when the tension it's to the down , but if the wire is stretched in the upper direction the wire tension break the tie-top of the isolator .
SOLUTION : Turn your isolator trop 180° with thé tie-closing DOWN and the pression of the wire pusch now on the other face on the isolator MORE ROBUST !
    Good luck and congratulations .
