- Vintage Hot Wheels, year by year, a look at my 100% complete collection of these old diecast cars. This video explores all of the variations, rare models, pricing, and history (as much as I know!) of these expensive little cars and trucks.

Love these videos. When I was 9 I had gotten the T-bird Toss Up for Christmas in 1978 with the white T-Bird. I still have most of the track however the T-Bird became part of the junkyard for my model train back in the 80's. I have since tracked down the yellow and white versions as well as the track again in it's original box.
Great memories, and fun when you find the cars from your youth. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing 1978 collection and in mint condition too! My favourites are the '31 Doozie, Ford Model A, Baja Breaker, Highway Patrol and the Racebait 308 (possibly my favourite Ferrari of all time). Once again, thanks for the detailed presentation!

My mother found my van that my dad brought me in 1977. Orange w/ black opening hood.
I have the black Trans Am there with gold rims. That was my original from when I was a little kid still in mint condition.
the corvette sting ray i have and the cagruor i have too they are beat up selvel gens have been playing with them. i enjoyed ur video. not sure what yr. i have to look when i go to my grandmother's house again. fantastic collection.

All guides online and in books show the black Super Van as having been released in 1977.

Great video, I'm guessing Lickety Six was influenced by the 6 wheel formula 1 car from British formula 1 team Tyrrell which made it's debut around that time. There is some great footage of Jackie Stewart driving the car up on youtube. There were other 6 wheel F1 cars, from Williams, March and even Ferrari but they had the 4 wheels at the back, including 1 Ferrari that had dualies, which there is a Hot Wheels Elite model of.
Indeed, that Tyrell was a very cool F1 car....back in an era when F1 was the greatest show on earth!
I had hot wheels when I was a kid I currently started to search for the ones I had and so far I found hot bird , 442, Torino and 57 Chevy on eBay and they are on the way I’m trying to find a list with pictures of all the cars that came out between 77,78,79 to see if they jog my memory so I can get a hold of only the ones I had as a kid just for nostalgia

Thank you! The videos will be getting much longer as I get into the 1980's, just due to the shear number of cars that were being produced. 1978 was a short casting release year, hence the shorter video then the others I've made for year previous.

sorry if you've discussed this before, but I wonder if you have or have ever considered collecting Micro Machines. I collect all forms of model vehicles but I've been collecting Micro Machines for many years. I find them to be very fun.
I like Micro Machines, and I did grow up playing with a few as a kid. I never collected them though, and now my house is overflowing with 1/64 scale diecast so I really don't have the room to start another collection! :)

Even as a kid I never liked the stagecoach because it doesn't have a motor anywhere on it or a place they should of added a motor out front like a rail

Hello, I have a question. I have a 1977 hot wheels van that's yellow and brown with fangs with a portal window near the back and a back doors single window,I have found some images of it but I cant figure out its definitive name.Do you know what van I am talking about? I watched your video on the 1977s video an did not see its casting even with a different paint job.
That van is from the Tattoos series, released early 1990's. The date on the bottom of all Hot Wheels is when the first model was released, and is not necessarily the year of the vehicle you have.
