    Holy cow! You weren’t kidding!! This may be the scariest road in America!
    The camping spot looks perfect. Beautiful park. Incredible shots.

    Hey Marc, i regularity watch about 50 rv/camping channels like yours. I only have the bell icon selected for two channels, you and fate unbound. I think you should finish one of your videos with an explanation of why people should “ring your bell”, and what they should expect when they do. You have a unique channel that provides excellent content and asks very little in return. Maybe something like “ring the notification bell to Hike to your next Grand Adventure”. Always looking forward to the next new video as i make my way through all your content. Keep it coming Marc.

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You've definitely been binge watching, and we're both flattered and appreciative! And Fate Unbound does an excellent job. We're grateful to have you along, thank you! We'll think of some way to best explain the bell, great suggestion.

    Awesome video Marc!!
    I liked your scene changes - especially the first one with the broken triangles! So fitting with the drive down Schaefer Road. That looked like such a cool ride. The scenery is so “another world”.
    The quality of your videos like this one, are top notch; so professional. I really enjoy your videos even the ones that are not about RV’s like your skiing (temps me to go skiing) and your four wheeling (makes me wish I had a four wheeler).
    Thanks you for all the effort you do putting out such a great product.
    👍🏻👍🏻

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Ram! As you've been slowly going through our back catalog from oldest to newest, I sincerely hope that you've been able to see a progression in quality over time. It's funny, but even though Grand Adventure's mandate is "RV-centric Outdoor Adventure", every time we make a new video that does not involve RV camping, like last week's ski video, the video positively tanks. We're hopeful, but not optimistic, that our audience will eventually come around whenever I do one of those videos, because we're going to just keep doing them.

    • @laughingram7287
      @laughingram7287 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Last night I watch both this video and the skiing video again, but this time with my wife on the “big screen” (my wife’s iPad).
      There were a couple scenes that were so smooth in the skiing - I felt like I was skiing - that I wished you had filmed the whole run!
      Of course my wife informed me that there would be NO WAY she would ever go down Schaefer Road!!
      Thanks again.

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@laughingram7287 those moving ski sequences were filmed with a gimbal to deliver that smooth footage. Actually we did shoot the whole run, although watching the same scene for a couple of minutes would've been boring as hell, so we broke it up into segments.
      If you get a chance, watch any of these on a truly big screen, a 4K TV. That's actually how about 30% of our viewers watch Grand Adventure. It's a completely different experience.

    • @laughingram7287
      @laughingram7287 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marc you consistently put out a video every Wednesday. I don’t know of any other that does that. You also interact with every one of your viewers.
      What do people expect you to do in the winter when you have your trailer laid up? You even took it out to the ski resort!
      90+% of your videos are RVing and the rest are hiking, skiing, kayaking, biking and eating(😉).
      After all, your site is called “Grand Adventure” not “Grand RV Adventure”!
      I don’t think you will lose any viewers by throwing in an occasional non RV video.
      Not this viewer.

    Wow Marc! I’ve did me the Schafer Trail and White Rim Road 3 times and watched countless videos of the trip down the Schafer Trail…your footage in this episode is by far the best video of the experience, including that first heart-stooping transition! Well done!!!

    I just started watching your TH-cam channel. I follow many, mainly full time RV’ers, but your channel is great. More of a tourism, so to speak, view of the areas in which you visit. Keep up the good work. I’m hooked. I’m from Pennsylvania and love the west. Been to many of the places you show on TH-cam.

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much, Jim! We do try to showcase the area as much as possible, because we're too boring to feature in a vlog. :D For us travel, RV life and camping are all about seeing places and getting out in nature to recreate, and that's what we've chosen to share. So glad that you're with us!
      Out of curiosity, what part of Pennsylvania? Both of my folks were from the Lehigh Valley and I spent a ton of time there in my youth.

    Very informative. I didn’t know about this area and I tried to listen intently but the music was very distracting. I think natural sounds of some kind would be really nice. But I’m probably the only one that thinks that :-) Your videos just keep getting better and better :-) you’re really good at this Marc. The national parks system should put you on their payroll! :-)

    • @GrandAdventure

      They're the most comfy camp chairs ever! We got ours at Camping World where they called them a "club chair" but we've linked to similar "moon chairs" on Amazon in the video description. Happy shopping! And thrilled that you've found us, thank you!

      Ronald, your Class A would indeed have not reached that site, but if you could have gotten it across the 100' sandy wash at the entrance to Dalton Wells there were many large sites a half mile in - we saw both class As and fifth wheels there. Great episode. We love Moab !! Awesome place. My last trip 3 years ago stayed at Dead Horse Point SP, and the Needles Outpost. Been looking forward to your white rim road trip, believe you mentioned it about a month ago. So the my question is did you take your Tundra down Shafer canyon ? I also have a Tundra, so was wondering. Mine is a crewmax. Didn't look like there was much room for oncoming traffic, the pull offs no so big, a bit harrowing.

    • @GrandAdventure

    Great video, but to truly enjoy this country you have to do it on foot or serious 4WD into the back country. White Rim trail is pretty milk toast stuff when compared to other 4WD trails in the area. Nonetheless, hard to pull an RV with an off road vehicle, unless you add a second trailer with the 4WD. Keep up the Grand Adventure and be safe!

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We agree, Thom. We've done a bunch of 4WD trails in the area but know our limits, too. Have you done Top of the World? That's the hardest one that we've done in the Moab area. Access is also the most limiting factor in the Maze district of Canyonlands, where the still images shown in this video we're taken.
