I’d say Les Pauls are inherently pretty warm guitars. Especially compared to Fenders, or even SG’s. But I agree with you- Leslie West killed it with the Juniors!

This might sound insane,...but if they'd just make that silk screen "Gibson" logo pearl,.....I think they'd sell tons of these Jr's. It would literally make that guitar look so much better imo.

And I actually tend to play it more than my old LP Standard, probably becuase it's also MUCH LIGHTER ;) But does that model NOT have the 'lightning' tailpiece with the intonation assistance?
The neck contour is wrong for me so I didn't buy, but I took some time w a Gibson and 2 Epiphones of this model. All very well made, but the Gibson sounded much, much better. Just better wood I would think.

That’s every guitar… ever. Haha. It’s exacerbated on guitars with a shorter scale and big frets, i.e. Les Paul style guitars. It’s always a constant fight to get major thirds in tune on a 24.75”. Same with any note in the first 2-3 positions on the G string (take a look at how much compensation a compensated nut does to a G string… or compensated frets, notice how squiggly those frets get at the G string). Pros will “cheat” the tuning a bit so that all chords sound close, but it’ll never be perfect in 12TET, ESPECIALLY on a fretted instrument. G# major is one of the worst keys on guitar for intonation. Being a guitarist with keen ears can be BRUTAL. It’s a never ending battle!!
same junk as 1940's. lousy noisy pickups/out of tune wrap tailpiece. who would want to play that? you cannot get it to play in tune. not even close. wat-a-joke

That A to fretted E isn’t in tune. Is that just Gibsons or just not in tune at the beginning? Lemmos playing always excellent.
