Canary Islands - Part I: Life at the Limit - Go Wild

  • Wind and water transported pioneer seeds, insects and animals to the isolated islands. They created the diversity and distribution of life here, with microclimates like the world’s only surviving temperate cloud forests. Animals and plants evolved unique features to survive in these lands. The result is startling encounters with eccentric birds and with majestic whales!

millions of yrs ago the canary islands were part of Africa you can clearly see where they have seperate from the main continent. Like New Zealand to Australia im not even a geoligist and i can see that by simply looking at the map.

Here is to those exceptional wildlife photographers who had to spend day & night w/ an infinite patience in order to procure these brilliant, indelible, & momentous footages at such foreboding, inhospitable, & inaccessible landscapes in the face of some adverse conditions. It may simply exhibit to discern their single-minded determination & unwavering dedication of the professional commitment for their crafts at the level most of us could only dream of. So I can't help doffing my hat to them. In addition, my heartfelt gratitude to the post-production crews such as editors, a script writer, audio men inclusive of the background music, a narrator, etc. who had all contributed to enhance a wealth of intrigue & excitement. Thank you for this beautiful documentary! I am the proud great-great granddaughter of Leandro Rivera y Morales, born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1825. I hope that I can visit his birthplace one day and honor our ancestral ties to this beautiful land.

Life is difficult for humans, unless you know how to survive in nature. These animals have it figured out. They were here before us, and will out live us. They will thrive without us, but we can't thrive without them. Humans will extinguish themselves, but nature will return once we are all gone.

Little known fact: the vast majority of Spanish Colonial settlers in the United States - Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, New Mexico, etc - and the vast majority of Hispanics in the U.S. South and South West had and are ancestral bloodlines to the Canary Islands. ... Most of the first Spanish settlers were Canary Islanders.

      Colonialists not settlers.
      Those bloodlines are Amazigh..
      who were in Texas
and this is Amazigh point blank
