    We’re watching from a villa in fuertaventura. We are 67 and 69 respectively and on holiday in November - our first for then years. Wonderful. I wanted to be a geologist but I ended up teaching special needs maths. Great thank you.

    This is arguably my favorite TH-cam video starting today 😮 I’ve been to Tenerife a dozen of times (not for tourism purposes), and only started learning about it’s geology and history now. Very informative, thank you for your contribution ❤

    excellent! I have been to both La Palma and Lanzarote and the scale of the Timanfaya eruption blew my mind. It was far larger than the La Palma eruption. The area covered by lava on Lanzarote is over 200 km2. Some of the cinder cones on Lanzarote are accessible for the public.

    A very good and detailed lesson about the Canary Islands. I watched the 2021 eruption by live cams very closely. At time I was very sick but finally able to stay awake. Watching gave me something to do in bed. I have always been fascinated by flowing lava so it was a good distraction for me. Now I'm able to do more. Now I have started studying geology. Thank you very much for your work.

    I just watched your lecture. It was done so well. I have watched alot of videos and read many articles on La Palma and the Canaries and you summed them all up on one lecture! Great applause 👏👏 Some day I hope to visit La Palma. There is so much to see geologically on those islands. Thank you for sharing!

    I know they complained about the landslides and the Tsunami theory but I would be more concerned of the Caldera Wall.

    I keep an interest in La Palma because of the controversy over it. The wall is very dangerous according to one video I saw and also the Crack at the top is questionable.

      Yes, it is geologically serious, but on human timescale unlikely...

    Do you think there will be ever an arupution ever again in lanzarote 😮😢

    • @ValTroll
      @ValTroll  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, I think so...the last one was in 1824. Small and short in duration, but repose periods of over 200 years are not atypical for Canary systems...

    No sound.....will try again later? La Palma had a 2.4 36 km and small swarm. It is showing on the Teides feed instead of the La Palma feed.

      I checked just now...sound seems ok for me. Maybe check the TH-cam mue button (lower left of screen). Maybe its just that ?
