Qairan Elim was directed by Dimash himself and he also did some of the camera work, filmed during Covid it was done with a very limited team and resources so everyone had to muck in where they could including rowing dinghies and driving ATVs to get all the equipment on set. Dimash is not afraid of getting his hands dirty!
What we hear in the Sochi performance is identical to the voice track of this video, so it already was the studio recording back then and not live. The only probable live performance I heard was at Igor's birthday event. At least it was different from the studio version.
Also, Dimash presented Know for the first time in his Dynasty tour concert in Moscow. He had 2 days concert and in each concert he performed this song differently (in black suit and white suit). Both performances were stunning. Disappointingly, when they released official video version of the Dynasty Moscow concert they put studio version of the Know that totally different what we saw and heard from the fan cams of these 2 days concerts.

All concert vocalized versions of #Know are live, they have a lot of improvisations, each of them is very different from all the others. Dimash first performed this song at a Moscow concert in the Kremlin Palace. It was performed very beautifully live (there are fancams), but the TV version of the concert for some reason kept the studio soundtrack. Gala concerts at the "New Wave" in Sochi, unlike the competition program, are rarely live 🤷🏻♀️

Scott...please, Please, PLEASE react to Dimash singing "Know" vocalise. In the MV of Know you reacted to today, some part of it was vocalise. He doesn't say any words in his complete vocalise version...other than Ascolta la voce...which is an Italian phrase meaning "Listen to the voice" 🙏🎶🙏 There're many great versions of it because Dimash was singing the vocalise version in every concert a few years ago. Each version is beautiful and each a little different ❣❣❣ I love the version from his Arnau concert...it touches me emotionally everytime i hear it 😢🎉🌹
Well it was shot in Iceland. I remember Icelandic Dears were so happy when Dimash arrived to film there. Love of Tired Swans was shot in Spain. Black volcano ground, waterfalls, geysers are in Iceland. From this time it is my dream to visit Iceland. I also remember how worried I was that Dimash will not get cold while filming it :) It is cold arctic island :)
Rainbows in this video are real and natural. I saw the interview by the video director Alan Badoev back in the time when this video has released, he said they were in a rush and spent so much time to captivate the scenes with rainbows. Also, he praised Dimash for his devotion and humbleness as a person to deal with to shoot the video day and night, he never complained and work hard as directed by the video director. Also, in his interview Alan Badoev said he was so surprised to see in a small country as Iceland, they have fan base of Dimash Dears. Video shooting was not announced but as they heard that they are shooting Dimash video, some Dears came around to greet them.
I tend to disagree, wherever Dimash goes in his voice I can hear the core of his voice and know it’s his voice. To me he has one voice, he is just moving through different registers, more octaves, making more colours to his voice but still hearing it is Dimash.

The notes sung in the beginning is the end, played in reverse! Also a lot of the dance in in reverse. 😊 Yep, it's him. Maybe my favourite note he sings. He ends Across Endless Dimensions with the same note I believe. One last thing of interest is Iceland has cycles of incredibly long days, then really long nights. So in the long days they can film with the same sunlight for hours. During the long nights the sun bearly rises, and stays low in the sky. The lighting is quite magical in iceland, then add the alien like landscape and its place like no other.
The sights are all well known locations in south of iceland, the colours have probably not been edited in post production. Seen it like this. And the rainbows are natural, quite common near waterfalls

So, Dimash’s music videos occasionally have librettos to help with the story. I am happy to watch this video since I don’t see this version of Know often (usually there are live performances with unusual stagings. The blue lady version is very cool. The word “Znaj” is purely the word for Know in Russian.). Happy also that the dear from France also suggested Qairan Elim. Several things to comment about this and other Dimash's videos: - Know is special for many Dears because Dimash has also used it live in concerts as one of the most amazing free vocalises (no words at all except for the ultra creepy start and finish) that I recommend as well. - In this song, the start of the song is done in reverse, but the rest is Dimash himself 100%. - That beach in the video is one of those volcanic black beaches in Iceland and I think that Dimash posted a short video about the filming itself. - For an exceptional use of color and color gradients, you should watch his great Okay MV. - Another great use of symbolism is the Omir Oter MV - Spoiler alert: You are going to find and incredibly fun MV in Dimash's catalog that will make you giggle as director. I'm not going to tell you which one it is, but you will know from the start and I can only tell you that it's one of his most "poppy" songs. If Scott wants to watch and geek over one of the most incredible cinematographic marvels out there (even if it's not for a reaction), he should watch the WH40K "Astartes" animation video that was a work of love from A SINGLE PERSON (Syama Pedersen), a project that took years to render and has earned the highest praise from all professionals that have seen it (and the work in the sound itself is pure bonkers).
I never recognized the shell - because I am so in the voice. But now I am distracted - thank you 😂 I think the shell is intentional because I learned that there is no failure when Dimash is working with - maybe a symbol he likes that. In my opinion, small details were brought in specifically to liven up the background. Otherwise, it would have been possible to shoot in a studio on a gray background, and not go to live natural landscapes. The picture does not have to be perfect.
I wish you’d react to the MV for Okay. I know that the song is not highly requested because it doesn’t have the crazy vocal acrobats, but it is such a beautiful song and really well made video as well. Hope you can take a look 👀

So I have a different interpretation of the story line. The clues are in the opening words: Man, woman, sin, infinity. I think it’s the story of Adam and Eve falling onto earth (night into morning). The dancers’ movements in the beginning were very crude and primitive but gradually changed into smoother ones as humanity evolved. The scraps of clothing changed into fur coats. Discovery of fire. Development of weapons. Man raises Woman into an elevated position instead of just a mating partner. Just my two cents’ worth.
As I mentioned in the previous video where I recommended this MV, Know MV is shot in Iceland where they have black beach sand (volcanic). It also has this forbidding cold look to the video which makes it more mysterious. Gorgeous all around. 😁

The clip has become for each viewer a mirror of his soul, his desires, his worldviews or... his own shortcomings. For me, this is: the creation of life in space. OK is not one of my favorite songs but the video of that is amazing, based on Stalin's crackdown on artists and musicians in the 1930s. Tell me who else does a mv about that! Quairan Elim is Dimash's beautiful love letter to Kazakhstan and alll it has suffered and by extension what all the world has suffered I love the line, "The tempered can't be broken." The piano player in this is Renat Gaisin who wrote the music. The director of the video was Dimash. Lots of symbolism with the plunk of the stone in still water and the plop of a drop of blood and spectacular cinematography. Our Dimash is an absolute genius.....

His stage presence and charisma in the concert had me floating off the ground for 2 days. At one point he was on a raised stage right in front of me about 20 feet away.

Dimash does everything. 😆 I think he can do certain things because he is always physically active. Horse riding, football (USA soccer), tennis, swimming, taekwondo, boxing, doing his own fight scenes....CRAZY. Kazakh's also sit on the floor to eat, so he is used to singing in a cross-legged position. In some live videos, you'll see he actually gets down on 1 knee to belt out a 18 second note. 😄

Это мистическая история, которую с таким вкусом и изысканностью снял Алан Бадоев. Dimash's high notes toward the end of the song were sampled to be used (distorted/manipulated) at the beginning of the music video. The live performances of this song (including the "vocalize" versions) do not include that distorted sample of his voice. I hope this answers your question. Dimash takes some "liberties" in his videos... In "Be With Me" they come out of the pool dry, in WIGT the girl appears with pants again in the guitar solo. Given how meticulous we know he is, I don't think it's an oversight or a mistake, what I can't think of is why or for what he does it. I'd like to know what you think Tym... I like the swan video better than this but they certainly caught some great shots for this one. You mean the staccato singing at the end? That s one of Dimashs specialities. He uses that in many songs.
The quiran elim is fabulous!! 😊 it was the Adam and Eve story to the end, right before he sings, the two realize the repercussions of their infinite sin, so they embrace. It’s steamy, passionate, intense, etc.

One last thing of interest is Iceland has cycles of incredibly long days, then really long nights. So in the long days they can film with the same sunlight for hours. During the long nights the sun bearly rises, and stays low in the sky. The lighting is quite magical in iceland, then add the alien like landscape and its place like no other.

The sights are all well known locations in south of iceland, the colours have probably not been edited in post production. Seen it like this. And the rainbows are natural, quite common near waterfalls

So, Dimash’s music videos occasionally have librettos to help with the story. I am happy to watch this video since I don’t see this version of Know often (usually there are live performances with unusual stagings. The blue lady version is very cool. The word “Znaj” is purely the word for Know in Russian.). Happy also that the dear from France also suggested Qairan Elim. Several things to comment about this and other Dimash's videos:
- Know is special for many Dears because Dimash has also used it live in concerts as one of the most amazing free vocalises (no words at all except for the ultra creepy start and finish) that I recommend as well.
- In this song, the start of the song is done in reverse, but the rest is Dimash himself 100%.
- That beach in the video is one of those volcanic black beaches in Iceland and I think that Dimash posted a short video about the filming itself.
- For an exceptional use of color and color gradients, you should watch his great Okay MV.
- Another great use of symbolism is the Omir Oter MV
- Spoiler alert: You are going to find and incredibly fun MV in Dimash's catalog that will make you giggle as director. I'm not going to tell you which one it is, but you will know from the start and I can only tell you that it's one of his most "poppy" songs.
If Scott wants to watch and geek over one of the most incredible cinematographic marvels out there (even if it's not for a reaction), he should watch the WH40K "Astartes" animation video that was a work of love from A SINGLE PERSON (Syama Pedersen), a project that took years to render and has earned the highest praise from all professionals that have seen it (and the work in the sound itself is pure bonkers).

In my opinion, small details were brought in specifically to liven up the background. Otherwise, it would have been possible to shoot in a studio on a gray background, and not go to live natural landscapes. The picture does not have to be perfect.

OK. So I have a different interpretation of the story line. The clues are in the opening words: Man, woman, sin, infinity. I think it’s the story of Adam and Eve falling onto earth (night into morning). The dancers’ movements in the beginning were very crude and primitive but gradually changed into smoother ones as humanity evolved. The scraps of clothing changed into fur coats. Discovery of fire. Development of weapons. Man raises Woman into an elevated position instead of just a mating partner. Just my two cents’ worth.

As I mentioned in the previous video where I recommended this MV, Know MV is shot in Iceland where they have black beach sand (volcanic). It also has this forbidding cold look to the video which makes it more mysterious. Gorgeous all around. 😁

I love your reactions...this video is stunning and ofcourse Dimash isDimash. I didn't really get it till I read the dancers are Adam and Eve. OK is not one of my favorite songs but the video of that is amazing, based on Stalin's crackdown on artists and musicians in the 1930s. Tell me who else does a mv about that! Quairan Elim is Dimash's beautiful love letter to Kazakhstan and alll it has suffered and by extension what all the world has suffered I love the line, "The tempered can't be broken." The piano player in this is Renat Gaisin who wrote the music. The director of the video was Dimash. Lots of symbolism with the plunk of the stone in still water and the plop of a drop of blood and spectacular cinematography. Our Dimash is an absolute genius.....

His stage presence and charisma in the concert had me floating off the ground for 2 days. At one point he was on a raised stage right in front of me about 20 feet away.

I think he can do certain things because he is always physically active. Horse riding, football (USA soccer), tennis, swimming, taekwondo, boxing, doing his own fight scenes....CRAZY.
Kazakh's also sit on the floor to eat, so he is used to singing in a cross-legged position. In some live videos, you'll see he actually gets down on 1 knee to belt out a 18 second note. 😄

И видеоряд в этот момент тоже прокручен с конца на начало, и вода водопада не падает вниз а как будто летит вверх. И эту идею подчёркивают слова - Мужчина Женщина Грех Бесконечность. Это мистическая история, которую с таким вкусом и изысканностью снял Алан Бадоев. Он рассказывал, что услышав голос Димаша и его необычные песни он сказал, (также как повторяют многие слушатели) - это неземное пение, это что-то сверхъестественное. Поэтому, по словам Алана Бадоева, он не мог снять для Димаша обысный клип кде просто мужчина и женщина встречаются, смотрят друг на друга и бла-бла-бла. Ему хотелось подчеркнуть в своих клипах для Димаша что это неземное, сюреалистчное, что-то божественное и вечное искусство. Dimash's high notes toward the end of the song were sampled to be used (distorted/manipulated) at the beginning of the music video. The live performances of this song (including the "vocalize" versions) do not include that distorted sample of his voice. I hope this answers your question. In "Be With Me" they come out of the pool dry, in WIGT the girl appears with pants again in the guitar solo.
Given how meticulous we know he is, I don't think it's an oversight or a mistake, what I can't think of is why or for what he does it.
