Oh Caitlin, this video was soooooo wonderful! I wasn't expecting to enjoy the flower arrangement so frikin much! I'm going to get into it now, I'm so inspired. THANK YOU! I love seeing you SHINE like this. :-)
Wow! Thank you for this beautiful floral inspiration. So excited to incorporate your tips and tricks into our home flower pickings. - I bought a flower frog awhile ago after hearing you talk about it on Cadyjax. :) Such an awesome little tool.
Loved, loved, loved watching you design this arrangement! You make it look so easy …. Please keep sharing your love and talent for flower arrangements! Your knits are beautiful too! I used to watch you on CaDy Jax and am so happy to have found you back to podcasting!!
I learned so much from you! I love hearing your process and can only imagine the beauty of your garden and neighborhood. I love this new podcast you created and how it allows you to shine and share in a fresh and unique way❤
Caitlin I learned so much! The arrangement you made is beautiful. You are such a talented artist and the best teacher! Having never done this before, I feel as though I could put a little something together right now because of you!! Can’t wait to see more ❤
Wow you just taught me about a new way to flower arrange instead of sticking a bouquet of flowers in a vase. Thank you for this video. Looking forward to more of your talents. And the sweater is beautiful
What a lovely video. Peaceful and joyful . Unfortunately I don't have flowers in my home due to our pets, but now I can enjoy your arrangements vicariously. Thanks so much for sharing.
Loved this.❤ I was a bit disappointed at first that it wasn't knitting but I am completely won over. I love daffodils at this time of year but usually just plonk them in a vase. I do forage for branches as there are a lot of trees around where i live here in Scotland soI am definitely going to try being a bit more creative.
I always plan to have a little knitting discussion even with the floral demo. Did you see the other video I posted the same day as this one? I had technical difficulties merging the two videos and so had to post separately. Check out my cloudbow video too. Thank so much for your message! 💛
This is so beautiful to watch. I love seeing your confidence in cajoling such a malleable and impermanent medium. Hoping to hear more about how you find peace with knowing this immense beauty will fade.
Super fun episode!! Loved your insights into floral design. You literally made this idea so accessible and I'm excited to try some of your ideas. Thank you!!
Caitlin, thank you so much for sharing your talent! This was amazing. I really appreciate your thorough explanations. The arrangement is just beautiful. It is so fun to see both you and Jackie blossom individually ( and of course I still love you together ☺️) Please keep sharing more of your love of flowers as well as knits ❤
Such a beautiful arrangement, I am a florist and knitter/crocheter from New Zealand so your channel is perfect for me. We have gone into autumn here so was lovely to see your daffodils. Your garden is obviously full of inspiration
I am HERE for the flower content :) I love how everyone has such a unique way to work with flowers. Your arrangements are so whimsical and elegant! Cannot wait for more!
I love seeing your passion for florals come across on screen and I'm utterly jealous that you get to pick those blooms in your own yard. Well done, lovely Caitlin
Watching your flower arranging demo was so enjoyable and satisfying. There's something so hopeful about this time of year with the short-lived profusion of amazing daffodils and forsythia. Love it! Thanks for bringing this reminder of beauty of the natural world. 😊
That was beautiful Caitlin. I agree the simplicity is much more lovely than volumes of flowers shoved in a vase. I grew up in Australia and i love the arrangements with branches, all the different shaped leaves of the eucalyptus trees, the nuts and pods they grow - really lovely. thank you for the content.
I love this!! And listening to you speak so effortlessly and fluidly about floral design tells me how passionate and knowledgeable you are about it… no fake, all cake! 🎉❤😊
Beautiful arrangement, and great episode! I have a very large garden, and I hope that the person who lives here after me is someone like you who will appreciate and preserve the garden rather than tearing everything out, grassing it in, and putting in a swing set and a bunch of cheap looking plastic toys. Heheh, I have a couple of frogs that were my mom's. One is a pinkish glass frog. We used it to hold toothbrushes when I was young, and later it was a pencil holder. Good memories.
Caitlin hi! Simply fabulous! Thank you for sharing so many floral design tips and tricks. I learned so much and your arrangement is like taking a deep breath of Spring's expansive energy! Snow remains here in northern Vermont , your podcast sings in the promise of Spring ahead. 🌷 Jennifer
This was so inspiring to me. I felt like I need to share with you that after this video I took a little deep dive into floral design and decided I need to do this for my career. Ive been a children’s librarian for almost 10years and today is my interview at a gorgeous garden center and floral shop (for floral sales and design/consultation)! I am beyond excited about this. So thank you Caitlyn so very much! So looking forward to your next videos (you said tulips are up next? I’m here for all of it). 🌼
Wow! I’m so happy to hear that you are jumping into floral design! You will have to let me know how the interview goes! I wish you the best of luck following your creative dreams! 💛
@@This_Little_Life_ been waiting to reply to your kind message! Thank you! I got the job offer today! I go in for orientation weds. I’m starting in floral sales (have you done that too?). Last day as a librarian is 4/20. I’m so excited about this big change! I appreciate your encouragement and inspiration! You are so kind! 💕🌼
We are all flowers, like Warhols little Queen Edie said. You design like the nature itself design both wild & sophisticated at the same time. My cup of tea. ThanksThanks.🌾🌺🌱
I loved the flower part of your podcast even tho I know you thru knitting. I haven’t done any flower arranging in years. You have totally motivated me. Your arrangement was just such a peaceful arrangement. I thought you said that you had the cherry blossom branches in a vase for “years”. Is that what you said?
You have a true talent. Have always loved your knitting and now your knowledge and love for flowers. Here in the Midwest still waiting for flowers to bud.
Daffodils, in all their delicate and varied forms, are my favourite. Nature just doesn’t let you mess up…it always looks pretty! I also love a bit of lush moss tucked in to hide or fill in gaps (we have plenty of it at our disposal where we live!) Thanks for your new channel and the fun topics on the roster!
I love flower arranging! Fresh flowers and house plants can transform a space. It’s funny you talk about frogs in this video . I’ve been meaning to get some to make my flower arranging easier
You are such an encouraging teacher! I absolutely loved this video and your arrangement was beautiful. Tomorrow I shall be out in my garden to collect some blossom for an arrangement, you’ve really inspired me. Thankyou so much. Xx
Caitlyn, you have made me more confident to try new arrangements! I saw a plain bouquet of flowers today in a shop and immediately thought, "You should try This Little Life's advice!" It was perfectly fine, but my eye has been fine-tuned a bit. LOL!
Loved this new videos with the flower arranging tips, tricks and tutorial on arrangement....loved it, loved it, loved it!!!! The flower arrangement you put together is stunning and it reminded me of the phrase "if you're not one, you're not mine"...made me think of all different people of different cultures and beliefs coming together as one.
Such a really wonderful podcast. It made me think about my garden of flowers and bouquets differently. I’m sad of all the frogs that my mother in law used to have and I didn’t keep. I’m a fan of your podcast! Great job
What an utterly beautiful flower arrangement. I love the care and thought that you’ve put into this design. It really shows a love and appreciation for each element. Thank you for sharing!
Great design!!! I can’t wait to get myself a frog and give this a try. We are getting a hell of a storm so after that I will be looking forward to springtime in the Rockies. ❤
I love this addition to the usual knitting podcast. I am going to search out interesting vessels to use for flower arrangement instead of my usual vases. Thank you Knitting was great as well!
Hi Caitlin! What a completely pleasant episode(s!) to watch! To spend some time with you, and see you in your beautiful, ethereal Cloudbow giving us a uniques and personal floral arrangement demo…it all couldn’t have been more lovely! You are truly gifted and I think your method of explaining what and how you design your arrangements was very viewer friendly, inspiring, and such a delight to watch. Thank you!! (PS: I've temporarily put my Cloudbow project on the back burner while I work on my first SW pattern, the Mohairino Medley.) Happy Spring to you and James! 🌱🌿🌱🌷🍃💐 XOXO
@@This_Little_Life_ I learned a lot from you. I remember my grandmother having some of those “frogs” and dishes with lids with holes for flowers. I wish I had them now. 😢
Love, love, love…great episode! I enjoyed that you spoke knitting in the beginning and then shared more of you with your lovely floral design talent. Your demonstration has me eager to try some floral arranging for home. Thank you for sparking another interest and teaching in a way that encourages exploring creativity to bring more beauty in our lives. 😊😘
I’m so glad it inspired you to “play” with flowers. I hope to always have knitting inspo as part of my episodes even if I’m going on a different tangent all together! 💛
Gorgeous! Thank you for the inspiration! I too have many gardens and a flower frog, but haven’t ever used it. 😂I just take pictures of all my flowers instead of cutting them and bringing them in. I am definitely inspired to try this. My purple crocuses are in full bloom today here in CT. Getting excited about getting outside in the gardens again. The record breaking rainfall this winter will have caused some harm in my gardens. The lavender for sure will have suffered. Very little snow cover to protect the roots in winter will have done the most harm. It’s a toss up. 🤞🏻Nature’s resilience will prevail…with some TLC!
I’m also holding my breath about some special plants too. We had bitter, prolonged cold this winter that killed so many things. Crossing my fingers especially for my gardenia shrub. 💛
Just lovely Caitlin! So nice to see you immerse yourself in the beauty and detail of composing an arrangement... I enjoy doing arrangements from my own garden too, and the focus and pleasure of the arranging is as lovely as the final pretty arrangement. Cheers, Judith 💜
@@This_Little_Life_ ... yes it really is - and so beautiful to just escape from everything else around us, and focus on the arrangement, the colours... so meditative. 🤗
Wow! I learned so much! I buy flowers all the time and just put them in a vase, but never thought to "thoughtfully arrange" them. I have never heard of frogs, but have added them to my shopping cart and have also added the amazinger shears you recommended. In the spring, I pick up flowers from a friend who has a micro-flower garden in her back yarn, so I'm looking forward to using these tips to create my own floral designs and just have fun with it!
Beautiful arrangement! Loved watching it all come together. Great eye for color/texture. Here in Maine spring is just beginning. We’ll have blooms soon. Thanks for your time!
What a joyful burst of spring celebrating the joys of your garden. I have never cut my hellebore but need to think about that. Maybe I need at least another one. I live in northern CA and we are also surrounded by spring. Thanks this was wonderful
My Dearest Garner of 40 years (Husband) will be glad for me to return to displaying the beauty and bounty of our gardens. You have inspired me to return to a first love, bringing the outside in. I have frogs, I have vintage treasures for display. They are currently collecting dust in a pantry. My style has always been much more of a flop them all together look. I love the simplicity of your design.
That was fun!! I have a mid century Asian vessel with an indention where the frog is supposed to go but couldn’t figure out how to attach the frog. But now I know to get that sticky stuff, thanks. Really enjoyed watching the design come to life!
So interesting! Thank you for your floral design demonstration. So jealous you have all those flowers before spring even arrives. I’m from Michigan, at least our hostas are coming up. Your sweater is beautiful and flowy..
So lovely! Enjoyed this episode. I love purchasing flowers from Trader Joe’s. I need to purchase a pinfrog. Thanks so much for sharing and providing tips.❤
That was amazing, Caitlin. The things I enjoyed most were your expertise--I learned so much--and, clearly, how confident and comfortable you are in this space. Really inspiring. I would say that if you normally design on a Lazy Susan, you could do that on your podcast, too. Viewers could see how you work "in the wild"--and you could spin the arrangement around as you work to show your progress. It would basically be a reveal. Anyway, thank you for the content.
@@This_Little_Life_Oh, gosh, I didn't mean to suggest that the demo wasn't good--it was fantastic! If my comment came off like a criticism, that was not my intention! I just thought it would be fun to see you craft an arrangement almost as if no one (much less a hoard of YT viewers) is looking. Anyway, looking forward to your next episode.
Caitlin! That flower arrangement you made is gorgeous!!! I enjoyed watching this episode just as much as the first one you made! You had me smiling the entire time. Looking forward to the next one! Hugs for you, lovely lady! ❤!!!
Oh my gosh Caitlin, this is amazing!! I am so inspired to try some floral arranging. I’m in Dallas so we are in full blown spring right now and I can’t wait to play around with what’s in my yard. Thank you so much for the demonstration and encouragement! ❤

It’s always there if the time is right. 💛
Thank you! I greatly enjoyed this and learned a lot; things I did not expect to learn (Daffodils potentially harming other flowers, etc.)
So glad you enjoyed it! 💛
I’m so happy to hear that it inspired you! Yes to bringing the outside in! And, with your vintage treasures too! How wonderful! 💛
Thank you for breaking down your floral arrangement design process. I look forward to seeing more flower design. ❤
Thank you so much. I look forward to showing more ways to “play” with flowers too. 💛
Omg those flowers from your garden soo beautiful a lovely podcast thankyou your jumper looks so deliciously squishy and beauty x
I’m very lucky to have so much beauty around me. And, the sweater is one of my favorites! 💛
That was fun!! I have a mid century Asian vessel with an indention where the frog is supposed to go but couldn’t figure out how to attach the frog. But now I know to get that sticky stuff, thanks. Really enjoyed watching the design come to life!
This sounds like a very pretty vessel. Have fun! 💛
i have honestly never heard of a flower frog. thank you so much for sharing this tutorial, it has given me a lot of inspiration. i love flowers!

I loved this! I have never been good at arranging flowers, but you made it look doable and so pretty!!!
I’m so glad it inspired you to try! 💛
Absolutely beautiful, a piece of art.
Thank you so much!
So interesting! Thank you for your floral design demonstration. So jealous you have all those flowers before spring even arrives. I’m from Michigan, at least our hostas are coming up. Your sweater is beautiful and flowy..
I’m so glad I could share a little bit of spring with you. I know those Midwest springs are so long in coming. Soon! 💛
So lovely! Enjoyed this episode. I love purchasing flowers from Trader Joe’s. I need to purchase a pinfrog. Thanks so much for sharing and providing tips.❤
Trader Joe’s has the best flowers! Have fun💛.
That’s so much! Yes, I plan to do my next demo with a vase arrangement in the lazy Susan. It will be a better demo that way. 💛
Only took your message as you intended! 😘
Fantastic episode! Thank you for sharing your floral design talents w us!
I’m so glad you liked it! 💛

Oh my gosh Caitlin, this is amazing!! I am so inspired to try some floral arranging. I’m in Dallas so we are in full blown spring right now and I can’t wait to play around with what’s in my yard. Thank you so much for the demonstration and encouragement! ❤
So glad it inspired you! 💛
