I’m a fan of this new collection, it is different from anything HT currently has. Thank you for bringing up the complainers, I get so tired if seeing them. It seems no matter what Cristine does people complain. It’s really simple, if you’re not a fan of the color….don’t buy it. All colors and formulas can’t please everyone. I’m not a fan of reflective polish, but I’m not going to complain, I just won’t buy it. Plenty of others love it. No need for ugly comments.
I think Holo Taco does an outstanding job overall for the nail polish industry. We get beautiful polishes and formulas in fun, creative, and collectible packaging, they are very well stocked so they don't run out of special boxes too soon, they ship things very well protected and very timely, have great customer service, and have very entertaining live streams with every special collection box. What more could we want? I'm sure in time there will be many more formula types and colors that will be explored, but there is only so much they can do at once! Very nice swatches, as always! Thanks for supporting this brand's efforts. 😊
I totally agree with you, this feels like a New Year’s party in a box. It makes sense because she’s already done some Christmas collections, it’s a new take on the holidays. Holo Taco opened the door to Indy polishes for me in a way that I never knew existed before. I’m always excited for every new collection, even if I don’t resonate with every single colour. I enjoy the story, the process and being here for the swatches. It’s a great time to be alive as a nail polish fan!

The only thing I found strange about this collection was how she added stars to starry eyed, yet in the safiya collection..she states why she didn't create a bat Topper because you'd pretty much have to fish for it...but then puts things to fish for in nail polish. I do also understand she said she's experimenting, which is fine. some people will like it some won't. Just because I find that strange doesn't mean I didn't buy it because I sure did buy it😅. I am curious to see what comes next since the holiday glitters will be gone once sold out next year.
I think she knew people who are just Safiya fans would want the bat glitters and didn’t want to put them in a polish because it requires a bit more know-how. The target audience for that launch probably included more nail polish beginners than the usual Holo Taco launch.
I feel like people tend to criticize smaller brands or independent brands more than they do larger brands. And in my opinion, these larger brands like OPI, Essie and Sally Hansen deserve way more negative feedback for some of the junk they constantly release! Looking at Sally Hansen and OPI specifically here lol
I swear when someone says disco dust I hear disco duck 😂. I love holo taco ordered mine and am waiting. Too many people complain but cristine is doing great. Thanks to the black Friday sale I finally completed my glitter collection. Thanks for switching this.
My favs are curfew crasher and bottle service. Curfew crasher looks like a beautiful mauve and i don’t have any of those! More of a subtle color like you say, very chic and special.
I loveeeee how Disco Dust Taco looks, and toppers are my favorite. I bought a green glitter polish from holo Taco and with a base coat and all it stained my nails horribly but I still like them. These are pretty. I like these collection. Thank you for sharing your videos ❤❤😊😊

I like this collection. Curfew Crasher is really nice, and I like the overall theme. However, The only polishes I plan on picking up would be Midnight Owl and Disco Dust. It is nice that they are mixing finishes in the collections now, and I am happy that they are planning on changing the brushes.
I think they mentioned it at some point, and along with the Cremes, all the new collections so far since the Royal Tea Trio have had the medium wide brush...@@naillacquertherapy
I LOVE this collection! The color story really works and you're 💯 right about the story it tells. The only one I'm not thrilled about as much is Bottle Service, but it works with the rest really well and finally getting Orly Color Pass has convinced me I can wear more colors than I thought. I’m not a fan of the new collection. I thought I would like the dusty lighter blue one, but I’m not a fan of those square/diamond glitters. To be clear, I can understand that just because I don’t want them, that doesn’t make them bad, just not my preference. I will be making an order for sale items I’ve been eyeing tho. I just have to get back on speaking terms with my wallet after that Mooncat sale. 🤣🤣🤣
I agree! I’m so picky about those weird glitters. I don’t like the odd shaped ones. I didn’t get the blue for that very reason. I don’t like the stars in the teal one either. Although looks they are nearly non existent in that polish anyway, so I might regret not getting that one. Also I hate mauve anything and holo taco has been making mauves like mad lately….

The wailing and gnashing of teeth and rending of garments that happens every time Holo Taco discontinues anything is absolutely unhinged and makes me embarrassed to be part of Holo Taco's fanbase, TBH. People are so focused on collecting polishes like friggin Pokémon while also complaining that they can't afford every single release or complaining that they missed out on a product that was available for 3 years and they never got around to buying it. Children, it is fancy paint for your fingernails. CALM. DOWN. I hate to be all "kids these days" about it but I feel like these are teens/young adults who have never been told 'no' ever in their entire life. 😒

Do you recommend doubling up on topcoat/glitter smoothing topcoat?
You may have to for some of the glitters. I personally never do because I apply a thick coat of top coat.
