As a nail junkie and an OPI collector I’ll probably try a color or two…. That being said they’re giving LA Colors with the caps lol. I don’t hate them 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m curious to see what colors they come out with, you know how they sometimes put out a nice color in the silver cap line (long day I can’t remember the names lol) than the regular line, TLDR/ I’ll check em out 😊

The Luxe Noir is more for us, this one is more for the salon people.

I'm so excited about this line because I only have the patience and time for quick-drying polishes. I love OPI, but they are the opposite of quick-drying- I can't even remember the last time I could justify buying it. However, I agree; I wanted something more sophisticated. I pictured colours called New York Minute (red) or No Time for a Bubble Bath (pink) (or any plays off of their classic colours) - still with the black text and cap. They could have done a marketing campaign using Gen Z's renewed interest in hot officewear to show a corporate girl using it between running around the city and going out at the last second. Quick-drying lines shouldn't be marketed as the cheaper line. It could have been better thought out for marketing and packaging! Hopefully, it changes!

If I had come in time I would have gotten Tanzanite, Crystal Mommy, Garnet, Aqua and Topaz. But the Tanzanite one sold out in like an hour? So if I cant get that one I probably wont get any of the other ones. Either way, I am happy for the Holo team but I think making this a LE release was a misstep. There had been rumors of a birthday gemstone collection for years. Now that it's come to fruition, they didn't have the right amount of stock available and they made it LE. Seems kinda tone-deaf to me.

These are so pretty 😍! Thank you for swatching. I love the red cream, the metallic green, and Oh for Oz Sake because it seems to have a really pretty green sheen to it. 🤩

When I first glanced at the thumbnail and saw the caps my first thought was “oh wow, new LA Colors collection!” 😅😂😂

The bottle caps looks like a L.A. colors cap. It clashes with the deeper and darker colors. I'm definitely not impressed with OPI because it chipped very easily. I'm gonna to pass on rapid dry. Thanks, Janixa for the honest review.

I hate the caps! While just by themselves, they’re pretty looking - the colors of the cap clash with the polish color and just make the colors in the bottle look so unappealing.

I agree with you. I miss the travel series they used to do too. But I feel lately that the whole industry is overdoing it. New collections constantly from so many brands. They are making tons of money! I just get irritated when I see another Essie one now. How many collections do they need? We talk about being "green" and the waste in packaging, for instance is insane. A bottle inside a box inside another box in a plastic tray, etc. etc. And some charging 14/15 dollars a bottle? Don't get me wrong I love nail polish, and I have way too many!! But I just see the "gimmicky" stuff more. I have definitely slowed down in my buying, which for me is a very good thing LOL

Hard pass. Too expensive for small bottles.

A big thank you for your thoughts and your honesty about the quick dry thing. It's exactly like you said: There is no polish that dries in a minute. It's marketing, totally agree. But you asked for the size of the bottle: 10 ml bottles are standard at DIOR. You got 11 m bottles at Herzlack (German brand). And: Essie Expressie has 10 ml bottles. Apart from the arguably better brush, there's really nothing about this line that interests me. I'm too old for that kind of marketing nonsense.

As an OPI collector I’d consider buying any new shades that they don’t have in the regular line, using a topcoat on top. Wouldn’t be the end of the world

You may remember Nicole by OPI. That line was the brand's previous attempt to woo younger polish fans. The bottles had a funky shape, and the finishes were more creative than traditional OPI shades. They phased that line out, I'm guessing because it just wasn't a money maker? But I had a few of them and they were fine.

Not a fan of what OPI is doing in general with their brand. The only line I wear from them is the Nature Strong one and they haven't released any new colours since at least a year. I wish they did more of those

Thank you for this. I don’t do quick dry anyway so I won’t be getting any of these. The colors are usually the same as the regular ones. I don’t need more than one of a particular color. The plant based line is another that I’ve never tried. Some of the colors are so pretty but I just never bought them. I’m not impressed by a plant based line. Shrug, oh well.

I was a little slow on this collection, but there's a lot of beauties in there, HT did a wonderful job. I think the personal touch plus the absolute stunning polishes were irresistible to nailpolish fans!

This color story is weird and the cap clashes with most of them! Also small bottles for $10?? No thanks I can get an indie with a cool finish for like $3 more.

They'll be giving Sally Hansen a run for their money in how many different lines they have soon!! I'll probably try a couple as I am an OG OPI fan, but I really wish they'd focus on a better brush and go back to their fun collections 🤷‍♀️ Wicked collection does have some gorgeous shades though 😍💅

You got my attention when you mentioned that this line has a paddle brush. A step in the right direction OPI. I don't buy the quick dry claim but the packaging looks fun imo. The fact that it is a smaller bottle is a no for me personally. Opi is not a special brand. I prefer Essie and Morgan Taylor for their wonderful formulas and they come with the paddle brush. Thanks for the update though. It is a gimmick imo to attract a younger crowd.

FFS… that’s less polish per bottle than IScream Nails! 🤯

Yeah I'm not paying all that money for that little product. One thing I absolutely hate more than anything is gimmicky or scammy advertising! The one that really gets on my nerves is when polish companies claim its gel like or calling it gel polish, but it's in a clear bottle! They're praying on people not using their common sense or people not knowing better. Done doing know that gel polish cures with UV light, so if it's in a clear bottle it's obviously not gel.

I have to say I don’t buy OPI because I hate that big square brush. I have tiny nail beds and they are definitely not square. I pretty much stay away from any brand with a bad brush. I do have some brush replacements,but they only fit certain brands and it can get expensive to be switching out brushes all the time. I rarely find quick dry polish to really be quick dry. Good old QD top coat is your best bet.

I love the new intro and outro, as well as the swatches. For your Charmed Lacquer line, I suggest that you make an opaque, one-coat stamping white cream polish. I know that whites are often finicky.

It’s too bad they did away with Nicole by OPI. To me that was the line that catered more to the younger crowd with funkier colors, collabs with Selena Gomez or the Kardashians, etc. and I totally agree with your thoughts on missing the travel collection themes. OPI hasn’t caught my eye in a long time.

Quick dry top coat yes! I feel quick dry nail polish can be difficult to work with

I hate the caps. They clash with 99% of the colors in the bottle. They should have done something more neutral. It’s weird to have a cotton candy colored cap when the polish inside is grungy brown or yellow. Total pass.

I don’t mind the caps they are very unusual yes, but I am curious of the formula, I have a couple Essie expressies that I love but I’m open to try the OPI formula now, that being said I’ll wait until they go on sale lol! 😅 also is it me or are the caps inclusive? I think that is the first thing I got from them very neutral, like Bi-coded; maybe they are trying to be more inclusive.

The caps are ugly! As you mentioned, OPI always seemed more sophisticated than say L.A. Colors because of their names&themes. Bought several in the past because the color and name drew me in. Was never disappointed either. Hopefully OPI doesn't continue this apparent downward slide simply to appeal to a younger and younger target audience. If so maybe do 2 separate lines one being more classically focused (sophisticated&classy).

SH Insta-Dri is 9.17ml and slightly more affordable than these, and the Insta-Dri line is already on the pricy side per ml, so definitely won't be bothering with OPI's offering for rapid dry polish. I already use a quick dry top coat, so that kind of makes a fast dry formula redundant. And I find it takes around an hour for my polish to be fully cured after topcoating, and that's trying sveral different brands of topcat, they all seem to be around an hour for fully cured so that they don't dent or smudge, and that's over regular or quick dry polish too.

I could careless about the bottle. Classy or not, if the color is pretty... I'll wear it. After all, it's the nail polish you wear, not the bottle. 😊❤

OPI knows what they are doing. They are trying to get gel users to come back to regular nail polish and dry time is one of the big factors why so many people went to gel. Why more people don't know about QDTC, I will never understand. Any brand can be quick drying with a quick drying top coat.

A lot of companies do this, create a new product to compete with their own existing products instead of competing with other brands, that way they keep customers buying their brand instead of others. A lot of companies also like to make very similar products to existing products to compete with each other and see who does it better. Personally, I won't be buying OPI or Essie polishes unless they are on sale, so I'll be waiting.

Ewwwww I am flabbergasted. My first two thoughts: I don‘t like caps that look odd depending on the color of the polish (thinking of the brown or yellow, not that the red would look particularly captivating) - agree with the impression of a thermal. And which of these colors would appeal a younger crowd I wonder….

I love their dry drops so for me this collection wasn’t necessary. I don’t hate the caps but the whole vibe doesn’t scream OPI. The caps go with some colors, but not great with a brown polish for example. I would LOVE them to do a flat paddle brush too! I am curious to use them. Maybe nice for a sheer pink base🩷
