Your truck, video editing, and commentary are all spot on. You do a great job of balancing the fine line of being knowledgeable but not pretentious. I also like how you show the not so glamorous parts of off road adventures in a very point blank way. The title is honest but not really click bait feeling. You just get right to it and say it how it is.
Your channel is giving me loads of ideas for my GX. Keep em coming!
I appreciate that, thanks!
I would love to see more of the wrenching on the trail. Show people what they might be in for if something breaks on the trail.
Moral of the story dont do jumps in your expensive toys.
Or...and get this... DO, because the photo was AWESOME. Toys are just things, you can fix em
Stupid is as stupid does.
Some folks have more money than brains ...
@@fjb4932 not really about being stupid or smart. It’s what people enjoy and there’s always risks associated with it. Some just enjoy pushing their toys harder than others. Does mean they’re stupid. We all enjoy different things bro, no need to be toxic.
Unless you have a total chaos long travel kit. I used to jump my 98 Tacoma at least 15 times a day without any issue.
3:03 I thought, this is the guy that always creates issues on trips like this... 4:59 😂 yep
Hey, gotta have fun some how
Jumps are always going to break something. Looks like you guys had an absolute blast though!!
Amazing editing and footage Logan. Thanks for sharing
Been my local stomping ground for the last 10yrs. And yes just like you. Recovered many vehicles from that area.
Cheers
Thank you!
the mountains in the west look so damn amazing!!! one day I'll go camping there. Thank you for keeping me dreaming while im stuck at home
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making my birthday trip awesome!!
I love these videos - they are put together so well (pro grade). Also, I can get lost for a few minutes watching. Thank you for posting.
Thank you!!
Another killer edit man! Looks like a lot of snow has melted out since I was last out at ghost!
Thanks man!
So good dude I’m loving these lately !!! 🤘🏻

Wonderful job guys and gals! Really enjoyed the flow! Production wise especially. Preme! Own same blizzard GX myself.
Appreciate it! That's awesome!
Another awesome video. Loved the editing, story telling and adversity!

Thank you sir!

Thank you, will do!
Hope to see you guys in the Mt Tibrogargen section of Glass House sometime.
Been quadding out there, not during the winter though. Its beautiful!! Great video as per usual!!
Thanks!
Fun trail, I take my Jeep there often. Those water crossings can change in a weekend, from stock friendly for a Subaru, to 35" tire minimum. Nice video, sucks about the breakdowns.
Dude nice content as always
Appreciate it!
Editing skills🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏
Great video guys.. hope to meet up some day out there
Thank you!
Some left over za 9:05 😂😂
Well this is freakin cool
u deserve at least 10x more views
One day hopefully but thank you!
Nice
Makes me double think an independent front suspension for a solid axle like a wrangler
Awesome video! Some epic shots! Wouldn’t be Matt if he wasn’t jumping his rig 🤦🏻♂️
My thoughts exactly haha and thank you!
Im new in offroad scene. Driving a pajero swb.😊
Question:
Which vehicle has the most inside space out of the 2nd gen 4runner, 3rd gen 4runner, gx470 or the FJ?
Like cargo plus leg room, general square footage of the inside?
Hey,,,,just a suggestion. Call your vehicle SX470 as in SUPER X 470.
What your opinion on wheels size and offset on a 2006 gx470 with a 3 “ lift and method wheels . Would you go 17x8.5 0 offset with 33” tires or 17x9 -12 offset with 33” ?
I’m told the 17x9 with the -12 offset will cause problems and ruin my hubs .
Great video, beautiful camera work, and scenery. I'd say tone down the music a little bit, and highlight some obstacles/talk some more. Keep up the great work!!
Rule of overlanding here in the jungle roads in the caribbean 6 go out 5 come back , part of the adventure
Do you guys do tours?
Man I have a 2019 trd pro Tacoma . But Your videos aren wanting me to want to build a GX .
Or runner/ FJ. All the same except luxury amenities. I own 2 fjs myself. Cant wait to get out and beat on them hahaha
Logan what is the total height of your rig without the added stoage box ? Need to fit mine GX into a normal garage door opening. Realize the height of the tire and any lift impact my options for upgrades.
6’9 I believe last time I checked. 285/70r17 tires and a 2.5” lift should be fine for most garages.
Nice jump. lol
Bro, do you recommend your head lights? they look awrsome but I'm afraid they might not project light very well
Yeah they project the light exactly the same as before because they are projector style headlights and don't use reflectors like older headlight do/did.
What do you do to keep the rust at bay on your GX?
In the winter I try to wash it at least once a week including the underside. Going to this company soon to hopefully: www.sublimesurfacing.com/
Buys chevy equinox fwd, its a suv i can go anywhere 😂
you have one too? i love my equinox !
What exhaust are you running on that gx470 cuz it sounds good!
Muffler delete!
@@LoganKingMedia hahaha. Nice !!!
What tablet navigation set up is that?
It is from Owl Expedition
@loganking what front bumper are you running?
It is from Red Dog Fabrication red-dog-fabrication.myshopify.com/
Logan where was your spare tire?
I've got a GX that I'm going to be building up and the first step is the lift - what parts did you use on yours? Love the way yours looks and performs!
You know about GXOR on facebook? It's the bible for gx owners. I've got a three inch old man emu hd lift on mine with sso conversion spring mounts in the rear and Bilstein 5100s all around. This is a budget set up. Lots of guys now go Dobinsons and I think Icon is considered top tier. Total chaos control arms are popular too. GXOR has lots of examples.
@@AndrewAtkinson1 yep I'm a member, I've been debating for a while what route to take but looking at yours I wondered which you had chosen. Looks great
@@Moriarty18 I'm not op. I think he has another excellent video outlining his mods.
@@AndrewAtkinson1 ah gotcha, I didn't pay attention to the name sorry heh
Thanks! I have the Eibach lift and SPC upper control arms
Do you have lockers on your gx470?
No not yet!
Who’s white GX is that?
Some photographer guy
Yikes. poor fj and 4runner. LOL
Where is this?
How much did your rig cost to build??
I have accurately added it up but probably around 10-12k
Ah yes, Canadian snow wheeling gear: Shmedium t-shirt and skinny jeans.
that guy fucked his FJ up, but got some awesome air 😂😂🔥🔥😎😎
😂
A spare brake line?!?! I need to start making a list of things that people have replaced or needed to replace.
U-joints
CV axles
Brake lines
Inner and outer tie rods
Anything else anyone recommends?
That’s great start, we actually got the brake line from a very well prepared toyota owner on the trail. Spare fluids are also great to have with you.
OR you just could start avoiding doing stupid and avoidable mistakes like the ones you watched in this video.
Lol a power and a brake suv.
7:30 what song? Tnx
What song?
Where dis be?
Do you guys have ig?
Mine is @king_media_ and the FJ is @fj_matt
Recipe Route for Disaster
Why would you ever try pull him out from the front, own fault hahaha
like sub , great channel
Thanks!
Go big ot go home😬
Dirt Every Day ain't got shit on this production value
That's some thumbnail
I’m not hating please don’t take it the wrong way, but how do you find your overlanding hobby? Do you work and make good money (from your content or otherwise) or just have money hehe
Why don't you just enjoy the beautiful scenery instead of tearing it up and your vehicles.
Cringed when y'all snap yanked that truck out of the ice hole. Could feel the injury to the rig through time and space.
I totally enjoy your videos and editing skills.
However in this video I felt like the story was lost. The film footage was great but you could have evolved your videos’ format with this trip. This could have been an easy two, fifteen minute episodes. The first one of course leaving us with a cliffhanger moment of the ice breaking or the broken down moment at the end. The second video then could have been a great moment to discuss being prepared and show off the bush mechanical skills.
I am not a photographer or videographer, so take this constructive criticism how you like. I’m just your audience enjoying your videos.
Thanks! I really appreciate the constructive criticism, sometimes I wish there was three of me so I could film more and make the videos longer and more in depth haha
I can’t stand crossovers 🤢🤮
