during a call you are hearing no sound on the ear piece speaker or loud speaker but the phone rings and audio functions normally elsewhere

My iPhone7 had no sound during phone calls or trying to listen to voicemail. It did work for music so I was skeptical to try this but it worked and I now can make phone calls again.
If your camera videos audio work?
Mine somehow doesn’t work at all after doing this. It still has no sound during phone calls and the person on the other end doesn’t hear me either. Any other advice?

Seriously-- this only works for a couple hours before it goes back to no audio, and I'm using the newest iPhone. It's basically a paperweight. I need to get on Skype for support because I have no assurances that a regular call will work, and if they schedule a call back there is no way to hear it-- this is the dumbest problem a phone could ever have--- a phone that doesn't phone.

It worked! My daughters phone sound stopped working over a month ago. She took it to two different iPhone stores and the people working there couldn’t fix it. She even paid for them to install new speakers (from which, it still didn’t work) and no refund). 😡 I followed the simple instructions here, and BOOM! Her phone speakers are now working. Hi, it fixed the problem but after 1hour or some time my phone speakers again stop working for calls/ video and voice memos. Then I have to do the reset network settings again. How to fix this problem permanently. Is this problem causing by apple to force as to buy a new phone?

Hi does anyone know why "resetting network settings" fixes this issue. My phone will work again after resetting but only temporarily then it will go back to not working again. No audio on calls. It also seems to affect the camera. after resetting camera will work again.

My dad gave a iPhone 7. I’m assuming it’s refurbished. I have no sound during calls either way. TH-cam and other audios work. I’ve tried resetting the network settings but that didn’t help. Any ideas?

Does the audio from any other apps work? Whatsapp for example works on mine, but the native phone app doesn't. So I don't think it's the phone-- I think it's a carrier issue, but I'm not sure.

This totally fixed my issue .. the audio wasn't recording when capturing video and all calls i made weren't connecting for whatever reason .. thanks, will keep this fix for others
