"You're making me hate a world so good to me" I feel this line so much. I understand my life isn't as bad as others but my depression, PTSD, and other mental problems just makes me think sometimes nothing is worth it. It's only recently that I realized it was mostly because of toxic, manipulative, abusive relationships. I feel like I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel and "better days" are ahead (pun attended) now.
Funny how one line can be understood in different ways; I see it as me doing okay, but a person with me having everything go to shit and it making me hate everything. I know the lyrics overall lean towards your take, but just one line separately can have many meanings. What a fuckibg beautiful and amazing song. Also good luck to you and hope things will get better.
@Lamiacs what's funny is here I am revisiting this comment a year later feeling like I might be at my lowest while I thought I was getting better XD I got the Currents logo tattooed on my chest back in December, so this band still means a lot to me overall.
Hopefully the instrumentation is better on the next one, I feel like they focused too much on vocals and less so on having interesting riffs etc behind them

That build up from 2:10 to the drop at 2:26 gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The phrasing and guitar lines taking you in different directions is masterful. And the CHILLS this gives me. Without a doubt one of the finest core songs ever written.
This band is everything I love about metalcore. Nice riffs, nice screams, nice Clean vocals (which doesn’t sound like Alvin and the chipmunks). Keep doing this fantastic job
I saw them with Silent Planet, IA and Greyhaven directly before the lockdown, and I’m glad I did; they were great. Their recent album was one of my favorites from last year, so melodic. The cleans all sounddd great as well.
If I could pick a tour to happen again it would hands down be the trilogy tour. Both the way it ends and trilogy were pretty much the soundtrack to 2020 imo

Borderline personality disorder. I feel like this song is a man speaking into himself, to the malignant personality whom has hijacked his thoughts to berate himself. In jungian psychology, this malignant personality has a name- “our shadow” only when we wear its clothing of emotions and stood uncovered in the light can we finally heal. This song is sooo powerful. As someone with borderline personality disorder, it’s extremely close to my heart. Thank you for all your help Currents.

But I knew of them a bit before that from a song I heard called night terrors. This song really stands out to me. This song, how I fall apart, and let me leave are just some very heart wrenching tracks. This song though... The lyrics. "If I let go, could I still trust you to be better on your own?" Makes me think of how some people are so desperate to get away from something, but tied to it by responibility or caring, regardless of how toxic or hurtful to you it is. "If I let you stay, you will ruin everything." This part is pretty much self explanatory. It means what it says. "You're making me hate a world so good to me." That line right there... Thats that line that really hooked me in. I'm not going into detail over youtube, but that line just throws blows at you on so many levels. When you feel the music, you know it's good. This song is what I needed. What alot of us needed I feel like. This band can do no wrong. This is revolutionary rock. This band never down stepped. They only evolved. They may be less "heavier", but the feels are all here. They're still heavy... Just not in the slamming guttural death core like way. They're lyrics are heavy, heavy on the heart and soul.
