Part of the loop series driving around the Olympic Peninsula from Skokomish to Sequim on mostly Highway 101. Real speed driving with continuous footage of the roadway! Idk but I really love the town. Especially the weather. I love gloomy weather, rain, dark sky and clouds. It’s simple and plain. Far away from skycrapers, noise, pollutions and waste. Life is good. Life is not demanding.
So true! I love the less populated wide open spaces. My goal is to end up in Montana or Wyoming someday, do whatever I want :)

I would love to move abroad again and live in a place like this. Been always living in a big city and only had a year experience of living in a small town in Köthen, Germany. But those one year was sweet and peaceful. Really miss it. Anyways, thank you for a wonderful video! Love to see more ❤
Small towns are definitely slower paced and more relaxing, glad you enjoyed Forks!

try go to ellensburg, that’s where my brother lives, whenever i come to visit, we drove around town like this
I appreciate this video as there were times when I considered moving to Forks. I think I'd get bored there.
It is definitely in the sticks, I couldn't live there. It is at least a 75 minute drive to get to Port Angeles, that is if there is no road construction delays or just plain slow traffic.

I think Forks and the Ho River Rainforest are 2 of the wettest places in the USA. I am so ready for rain to start again!

I will do a 6-8 hour Olympic Peninsula loop video once the rain returns this fall and detour in Forks for a few minutes.

I live in a similar place but in Central Europe. However, the Olympic Penisula has been catching my eye for years! In a few years I hope to move this place permanently if I succeed. I love small towns and cold climates, rain even more!
Nice, it is a quiet little logging town with the lore of Bigfoot, Vampires, and Werewolves! Read the Twilight books to get more of a sense of the area :)
You drove right by my old house. Forks is timber country they log there and used to have a lot of mills about 1/2 the people work in 1of the 2 prisons

Ive lived in Forks before. I know a lot of people r like.. secretly wanting to move there cse of Twilight 🤣 No shade on u. The weather and nature r gorgeous.. its like living in a fantasy. But listen.. it gets boring, lonely and depressing really. thats why I moved but if thats for u, go for it! The beach is cool
It is one of the most isolated places in the country!

Forks was only a backdrop for the TV show Twilight, there were never any episodes shot there they were all shot in Oregon.
I saw that after doing this drive, it was the book series that was set in the area and used actual places. I think a lot were shot in Vancouver, Canada after the first movie?

What is the beautiful city of Bella Swan at dusk?
Is this a really small town? Is there like target or Walmart there something like that? Because I want to move there one day but looks like is just houses around and only few stores idk I’m confused
Only 3000 people. Port Angeles is about 60-75 minutes to the east, they have a Walmart and Safeway. Nearest Target is in Gig Harbor, 3-4 hours away!
The closest Walmart is in Port Angeles and Sequim
They’ve got the ocean nearby and BigFoot around there too!
Plus the home of the Twilight books!

Thanks. It does rain a lot there but not every day, it is possible they had rain before or after I was there. One thing I can say though is it is not very sunny there except in the summer.

Twilight is the only thing Forks has to brag about. Is that it, is that all?
Kind of and the movie wasn't even filmed there, the book series was set in Washington though. The first movie was filmed in Oregon, the rest in Vancouver BC.

Not me, after the first movie I could barely watch the second one, didn't even bother to watch the rest of them. We had a friend who was obsessed though, she would re-read the same book over and over!

We did take her there about 10-12 years ago when she was visiting, also stopped in Port Angeles where some of the movie took place. If I remember correctly they had a scene at an Italian restaurant near downtown Port Angeles.

It is not that bad, it could use some more places to eat in my opinion. I imagine medical care is a nightmare though.
