In regards to event security: The key isn't how many guards you have at different stations, it's how much the guy at the door is getting paid. If the guy at the door was sourced through a typical security agency, he's likely not exactly wealthy. An "undercover hundo" in exchange for off-list entry is a fairly typical way of supplementing that hourly rate.

The blerp drink cover situation sounds like this- The Venue/Bartenders had drink covers available but Blerp/Sponser did not include the covers in their contract.

WTF. Checking ID should be a basic practice for any private event. The idea that you could just flash a QR code and the security won't even bother to take the additional step to verify that you're the person who is supposed to _have_ that QR code is ridiculous.
If they came up with a "use the same QR code over and over" trick, then that immediately breaks the "everyone got personally checked" because if someone is just handing off their QR to their friends...
That would also explain the overcrowding issue, system says there's x people in the system, but there's 30 people as code #3, and 17 people as code #6
The qr code was broken like that but it was also a split venue that was split only in name from my understanding. So the other party could freely move into theirs.
It's ridiculous that guests were not required to show ID to prove that they were the person _assigned_ the QR code. Security wasn't checking? That isn't lazy, it's negligent.
How the hell were they even verifying age at this supposedly 21+ event?

@@richardbrooksshnee If they were already looking at every guest's ID, then they _saw_ everyone's names anyway. There's no reason why they shouldn't have had a list so they could confirm that the person was supposed to be allowed in.
It's not like the list would have said "vtuber X real name Y". Just a list of names so that security could do their due diligence.
A list of names is standard for private events, but they decided not to have it because of concerns about anonymity. That's not excusable neglect; they knew of the risk and acted in reckless disregard to it. They had a duty to come up with something _at least as good_ as the industry standard, and QR codes which weren't even checked for duplication came miserably short of achieving anything reasonably approaching it.
@@FirstLast-gw5mg it was a twitch party. Many content creators don't want their IRL ID linked to their online personality in any visible way. Legally required to check ID. To maintain anonymity the guest list was the QR codes(which also speeds up getting the guests). They implemented it poorly but if done right it would be effective.
Problem is Pippa is embarassed by that song and privated it to members only. Sad thing is that outside of Watame, Mousey is friends with all of her Oshiis like Henya, Kson, Pippa probably also likes Calli, as well as a few others, which honestly I understand the feelings of inadequecy but one of these days she's going to end up in a group collab and all of her Oshii's will be there (like an inter-company crab game or something, what is she going to do then not socialize)
There isn't much on it right now, but I'd like to get your initial opinions to the 'Ameway' pseudo-graduation model. Her potentially returning for big events and projects, and her mentioning on the final stream the slim possibility of a semi or full return in the distant future, looks to me like the optimal way for agencies to handle a Vtuber leaving on good terms.

I think he covered it right after her announcement. The big takeaway is that there is a new type of contract that she has. She can stream but she is also working on projects outside of Cover and Hololive. For her the world is her oyster, she is very innovative on the tech side of things and could be a technical entertainment consultant to other corpos, she could be renting out her 3D Studio professionally, I do doubt we'll see her return to streaming as she now has the resources to work on other backend projects. (Her Sachiowo twitter account is still protected, so unless you were a follower before hand I don't think anyone knows.
