@@simonecionco1565 l have recently restored my technics 1200 lid to new this way ,but do it all by hand . It is very easy to burn the plastic using a drill and that is very hard to get out .Doing by hand will achieve the same result by hand but will take longer ..

Hello, thank you for your work. Can you write the steps and the references of papers ?

    • @Woodys_Hobbies

Sandpapers will depend on what kind of scratches. If too deep then you can start with 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000. For minor hairlines you can start with 1000 or 1500. the same procedure. About buffering you start with rubbing compound with a semi hard buffer pad. Next is polishing compound with a soft buffer pad and last is wax with a soft wool buffer pad.

It depends on the scratch. If too deep then start 800 grit sandpaper up to 3000 grit. Next use a buffer pad & electric drill start with rubbing compound, polishing compound last is wax all these are for automotive use.

You can use hydrogen peroxide whitening procedure to eliminate those yellowing, very good job though.
