  • Pay As You Earn (PAYE) taxpayer, known to us as PAYE workers, must complete a PAYE Income Tax Return to:
    1. claim additional tax credits, reliefs or expenses
    2. declare additional income
    3. obtain a Statement of Liability for the year
    4. claim refunds of any Income Tax or Universal Social Charge overpaid
    and
    5. confirm any liability of Income Tax or USC underpaid.
This video covers all of these areas in detail and provides answers to most of the frequently asked questions about timeframes and also provides useful tips for avoiding scams and common pitfalls.
This is a Step by step guide for PAYE Workers to complete their Income Tax Return for 2023. Sorry for delay in replying. You can check them against the last payslip you receive from employers. They are generally spot on.

I need to know why for my 2023 the status on the first page it says "saved" instead of "available " and doesn't allow me to file. I hope to have a reply thank you

You obviously started your income tax return and left it before submitting it. Go to the saved version and finish it and submit it.
