Important thing i'd like to add for anyone who's constantly adjusting their phone brightness like me. Swiping down twice to adjust is annoying, but if you press the three dots in the top right when you swipe down, you can edit the quick panel layout so that the brightness adjustment bar is always visible just from the first swipe 👍

@@BLNKT. Agreed, it’s just so boring. I’ve gone back and forth with iPhones and Android/Samsung throughout the years. More and more Samsung is just killing it. Don’t get me wrong iOS has it’s little things but that’s not enough to persuade me to stay. This is most likely my last iPhone.
I did the stupidest thing in the world by switching from my Galaxy 20 Ultra to an iPhone 14 pro Max. Trust me when I say it’s the worst decision ever - all because I wanted a new experience. After less that two months of use I traded it in for the latest Galaxy.
@@blackwhite2361 never fall for that trap all they do is good commercials and their fanboys all they have to talk about is IOS fluidity and smoothness which now the s23 ultra makes it even better with the Snapdragon 8gen 2..most of the people who owns iphones they just like to show off with an expensive phone whicj literally can do nothing compared to android especially samsung

I'd add one tip myself. If You are from country that doesn't have well built 5g infrastructure, turn it off. After my testing it drains up 3 times more battery with screen off and up to 2 times more with screen on while in my case it isn't any faster (was testing downloading and uploading speed and only uploading was a little bit faster). Tested for a day with 5g and day without it using accubattery app.
Test it on your own and decide whats suits You best :)

I never worry about the battery. I always set the phone for the best screen resolution. If that shortens the battery life, so be it!

1st.. set your language, date & time
2nd.. connect to internet and update your system software..
3rd.. change native samsung theme or remove apps you don't like and or install your favorite apps..
4th... set your lock screen, biometric & security features..
5th.. test the features of your new smartphone..
6th.. just a reminder don't drain the battery.. don't full charge the battery.. stop using the phone when you feel it's over heating unless it's necessary.. screen burn issue will come out later..

Thanks Saki. Everything was very helpful. In addition to a couple of comments added to the discussion.
You can go to settings, advanced features, then side key and change the power button behavior. Its defaulted to waking up freaking bixby. You can change it back to hold to bring up power menu. . There is also a 911 feature that i recommend turning off! A lot of new phones i guess have this now, but if you tap the power button like 5 times your phone starts calling 911. It was set on by default on my 23 ultra, go to emergency sos setting and turn it off!
Moved from s8 to s23 ultra, the difference is absolutely surreal man, absolutely love this phone

Hiya..just a helpful note..you can also do the 'multiple app icon selection' on iOS by tap-holding an icon with one finger, and then without releasing it, tap another icon or number of icons - you can then move those icons as a group.
That being said..Samsung's way about it Is easier and can be done with 1 finger, AND you can select mutilple icon apps and then UNINSTALL THEM ALL in one go.

Great vid - thank you.I have question: what kind of case are you using. I have EF-QS918CTEGWW Samsung Clear case and by my opinion it feels very hard and there is a slight problem with removing the S-Pen stylus. What do you think about this case?

You can run it after you perform the initial setup. It's okay to transfer and then check it.

Hello Saki! First I want to say I love your video on Samsung phones, they always have some valuable information and great tips. That being said I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, upgrading from my Note 10 Plus, and started watching some of the tips videos for that phone. In one of the videos I was watched you stated about battery Status/Diagnostic under device care setting to see if what it says about the battery and to make sure it says normal. Strangely enough I don't seem to have that diagnostic feature listed, I even searched for it in setting. I don't know if it is a Verizon phone or what. If you can shed any light on this topic I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your video - I always enjoy them. One question, when I disable notifications it always takes just a few minutes until notifications are magically enabled for all apps available again. On my S20 Ultra and my Tab S8+ that never happens and they all run Android 13 although of course the 23Ultra has One UI 5.1 and the others 5.0. If you could tell me why Android Auto on the S23 Ultra refuses to connect to my car whilst I have no problemos with the S20 Ultra, that would be dandy! :D

Has you figured out how to have lock screen notification enabled in detailed. It used to show detailed msg on lock screen. Now it only shows icon notifications? Do you know any way around to show full detail content on the lock screen vs just an icon?

Overall great tips, just one question: in lock screen i select music and it defaults to youtube music but i would rather have it go to my music app, can that be done?

As to checking your battery health. what should your battery capacity be when it first arrives? Mine was 4700 mAh, or 94% right out of the box, with a charge showing 52%. Is that a good capacity for a NEW S23 Ultra?

Hold on I'm very confused now because on my menu screen on my S23 ultra for the battery does not have that option in the menu as you do?
If you're on another screen besides the home screen and lock the phone and unlock it, you'll be on the last screen you were on. It's not defaulting to home screen when you unlock it
Big Samsung fan your videos are there best Saki I'm watching with my Galaxy S21 Ultra A Behemoth of a phone and the most important part is that I have the exynos version and I bought it on May 2021 and all this time it hasn't Lag or slow the performance. I will stick with my S21 Ultra. And I will change too another Ultra phone when my S21U it's gets too old or when it's done updating😊😊
I bought the S23 ultra because my S21 ultra is 2 years old, but I kept my ultra S21 for backup.

I have it installed (the official one) and i have to say its one of the easiest installation, but keep in mind it only does protect scratches since its not real glass only plastic

Dolby ATMOS makes Bluetooth audio connection sound too tinty. It's only good for the built in speakers.
I dont have a Diagnostic option like you have is it because I baught a Verizon phone?
Question. My 23 Ultra does not have the "Diagnostics" option. It only shows the Auto Optimization, Software Update, and Maintenance mode. I even turned on "Developer Options" on my phone, and still no Diagnostics button. My phone is Verizon. Is that why?

I bin having problems with hotspot the the hotspot stays connected but says no internet connection i doybled checked everything just can't find out why it won't stay connected im in a good reception area did not hav this problem with my note 8. If u hav sum thing im missing let me know

Got my brand new S23 ultra today. Does not have "Diagnostics" under Battery and device care? In fact all my menus are completely different than yours. Maybe because its from Verizon? Bummer that I don't have half those settings you show.

I have a problem with the Gmail app on Android. Notifications are late. I have an ios and notifications come instantly. However, on android they are minutes late.They are not instant.I have all the correct settings.And I have also disabled battery optimization for the gmail app.

Why is it when I try to repeat your first step going to settings and then battery and device care my options don't look anything like yours. I have 3 options and nothing about a diagnostic test???

Just received my S23 Ultra,coming from S21 Ultra, and have to say the display and sound are amazing .
Watched a clip of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on Disney +, where Nebula is flying the ship, shooting at Gamora!
Had to show my son the sound and picture (wow) and it was only turned up maybe 1/3 of volume.
Not to mention how smooth and fast it is!!
Oh and the flatness of the screen is great for using Gester.
So far liking it very much so.
Is it heavy on the hands for long usage?
