At 71 and being a widow, I'm crying right now remembering it all. Luckily, my son and Granddaughter live with me and I try to be present. Great message in this song.
Please know that a random stranger will be thinking of you for the rest of her life!! I wish my dad was still here. I’m only 28. I would have loved to live with him in his 70s. Would have just been nice to be able to spend that much more time just being in his presence. Take care ❤️
I can’t help but LOVE Trace’s music, regardless of which side of his personality we’re getting. He has quite the funny side, too. And when he buddies up with Blake, it’s awesome!
This song reminds me of the warning I give parents: you will go to sleep tonight and tomorrow you will wake up and your child will be 18 and your going to wonder what happened. My son turns 18 this summer and I love who he is today, but I miss the younger him too.
I'm not going to bother typing my response since you already said everything I was going to say.:-) Mine's 32 and I'm a Grandma now. Just a few days ago he was my baby, my little boy, my teenage boy, now a wonderful man. My heart could burst with my love for him.
My babies are now 49 year old son and 44 year old daughter with a 20 year old grandson a sophomore at university of Tennessee. Wished I could do it over, but so proud of what they,ve become.
The best piece of advice I ever heard was actually from Jensen Ackles. It was "you never know which time will be the last time." One day you will tuck in your kids and you will never do it again. One day you will be carrying your child, put them down and never pick them up again. You don't know when it will be the last time until it's gone so be mindful every time and make memories while you can.
Sebs you have a lovely wife and beautiful baby girls! You are a wealthy man. All the money in the world can't replace that! I have a son and a daughter who are both grown. My daughter still lives with us. My son has 3 boys and a girl and now I have 3 great grandchildren by my granddaughter. I'm a happy man, I just wish they didn't live so far away. Getting old it is harder to make those trips needed and I feel I am missing out on all them growing up without us.
Even if you aren't a parent it is a good reminder to stay in the moment and appreciate all that is around you instead of looking so far in the future you dont enjoy today.
At 62 I look back and think of all those moments in my life I wish I could go back and do things differently. They say hind sight is 20/20 and that is so true.
Trace Adkins is a very kind and generous person who just this past weekend gave a free concert in our Tornado stricken town of Mayfield Ky which was devastated and destroyed on December 10, 2021. an EF4 tornado left 24 people dead and at least 200 people injured in Graves County Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service. Trace stopped here to help raise money and bring awareness as our people work and struggle to rebuild, on his " Somewhere in America Tour". Yes were gonna miss this but we will rise up better than ever.
I am listening to Trace’s song, with tears running down my face. Memories of growing up, the advice and always thinking, things are different now. Both parents are both gone, but I miss them both everyday. I thank God forgiving me to the best parents any child could have.
The story telling and how the songs hit you square in the heart is what makes country music great. Other genres do this as well but I feel country is more universal
This is my life song, i really do miss it. I miss my kids being young, i miss the noise, the fighting, the great movie nights, concerts, state fair and camping. Im now a grandma of 3 granddaughters, and im once again looking at gonna missing this all over again, they are growing way too fast. Make sure to tell your loved ones everyday how much they mean to you, how much you love them, and be sure to talk about those memories you miss soooo much
AS a grandmother of 4, I do connect with this song. Seems that our boys grew up way too fast, time went too fast, and it seems that time goes faster as you get older. My mother did say that every 5 years, time goes faster, and it's true. Enjoy your kids and family now because, yes, they will grow up faster than you think.
As a Mom to 2 teen girls I cry every time I see/hear this. One just graduated and the other will be a freshman in high school. It went to fast and I wanna go back to enjoy it again.
I've been a pet sitter for 33 years and, although I'm counting down the days to retirement, I'm reminded by this song to not wish the days away. I love what I do, my mom is still with me, my husband, the kids, the grandkids, are all healthy. These are the good days. The blessing is in realizing it in the moment. Thank you for reminding me that this is a good day.
I had the pleasure of attending a Trace Atkinson-Toby Keith concert several years ago. It was a great concert with two amazing performers. Trace always tells meaningful stories with his songs. Hope I get the chance to see them both again someday. Prayers for Toby
I do miss those days. I'm 66, my children are grown, my grandkids are growing up. Some have started their own lives. I miss them as babies. Seb, take all the time with your babies that you can, it is so very beautiful and important! God bless you all. Huggles Always 🤗🥄🍀🤟🪻🌹🙏🦓🇺🇸
Loved your reaction. It's amazing how when we are older teens and young adults we want to rock out man!! Then when we settle, work, and start raising a family WE change. Words of songs become soul soothing and more meaningful. Not just about the beat anymore... it's about the heart and what's important. Thanks for taking us on your country music journey. I'm enjoying it. Blessings from Texas!
I got the opportunity to see him live and he sounds as good live as he does on the video. The words could not ring more true! Every single time I hear this song, it brings back so many memories. We moved a lot growing up, and I have friends all over the place. When we start to talk about the "good old days" it makes me want to cry! Love those baby girls...they grow up so fast. It seems like yesterday I was walking my son to the first day of kindergarten, and he graduated high school last week. I goes so fast. I love how much you love your family! Trace is fantastic! Check out some more of his songs. They do not disappoint! I am older and every single time I see my daddy, I cry when I have say goodbye...Same with my mama! Your girls will feel the same way! I am such a daddy's girl, always have been.
My favorite songs by the gentle giant Trace Adkins are You’re Gonna Miss This, Then They Do, Just Fishin’, I’m Tryin’, Watered Down, and Every Light in the House.
I remember when this one was released my babies were still home and this song reminded me that they will be gone so enjoy and absorb in the love and happiness
I have 3 adult children now. I’m fortunate enough to live close to my hometown, and it’s wonderful to drive through and reflect, but as they say…you can never really go home. Even if your parents still live in your childhood home, it’s just not quite the same. Plus, your neighbors and friends are gone. However, the most important thing to do is spend quality time with your family and make memories. And don’t just take a million pictures on your phone, take meaningful ones. I have a Skylight Frame that I love to email special pics to and ‘slideshow’ them. I look at it daily and it brings a smile to my face, and warmth in my heart. The Judge is a great movie!
my 2 babies were 36 and 23 when this came out... it hit home hard for me... i do miss it.. and my grandbabies are growing so fast, the oldest is 18 now .. stop to enjoy the moments of life
Love this song and your reaction. Have to share, my daughter is a 3rd grade teacher. The last Mothers Day, she had the kids fill out a I love it when my mom….. one child could not fill it out, said my mom does not play with me, she is always on her phone or working. Heartbreaking. Don’t be so caught up in making a living that you forget to make a life. Put the phone down and play with your babies because they will remember and you’re gonna miss this. ❤
You will miss it Lost my parents two months apart last year I heard this all my life You will miss all this Perfect time for me to watch And this is The Song Thanks for sharing!!
Sebs love your reaction. Enjoy those little girls because it really does give fast. Mine are grown as are my grand children. I cry everytime I hear this song. This song is so true. Love Trace and all his music.
Wow, how true this song is. My son married and moved out, afew years later I lost my husband to cancer. I do miss those times when we were together. Cherish the time you have with your family. Always enjoy your reactions.
I’m almost 70, still live in the same city I’ve been in since I was 3 weeks old…I miss growing up times, playing with cousin’s, most of whom I haven’t seen in years & a few I won’t see till I’m no longer here. I miss when my 45 yr old son was young, even when my grandson’s were babies, they’re now 15 & 17. I think they sometimes get it, especially when they say they miss the time when we all lived in the same place, instead of now when they live 3 hrs away…
This is a great reference song for me, the line about having two babies of my own, one's 36, one's 23 - this is the gap between myself and my youngest sister 13 years, so sometimes I still cry when I listen to this piece
Sebs you are killing it with your reactions! You are becoming so grounded in what you are learning while doing your channel. You are going places because you are real and candid and even raw in your reactions. All these songs are tremendous hits because everyone that really listens to the words are moved just as you are. This is the stuff of life, and life passes way faster than we realize. Then at a point, like where you are in your life, your eyes are suddenly opened and you see clearly where you've been and what lies ahead, for you, your children and your wife and for the friends and family you care the most about. Every moment in life is precious, and for much of it we just race on through without seeing those events and phases for what they really mean. Thanks so much for your channel. It gives older folks like myself hope for the future generations. Keep up the great work!
Still look forward to going home and seeing my mom and dad and they are 76 and 77 years old and I’m 55. I’ve lived away from home for almost 32 years now but it’s always good to go back home! ❤
I moved from my hometown when I was in college and was gone 35 years. I moved back when I retired to care for my mother. Luckily, I was able to reconnect with tons of friends that hadn't moved away. It was as if the years apart fell away and we were as close as ever. I'm so blessed. I made great friends while away, but the saying is so true, " You can't make old "new" friends."
Your family is beautiful Sebs ♥cherish every moment with them. I grew up with country music and oldies so I've never understood the hatred of it from others my age lol.
You just said.. something about going to your brothers grave that is special to you.. My sister passed away 8 yrs ago.. miss her everyday... my husbands brother passed 3 yrs ago. he misses him every day... I miss my Daddy... we have all the same pain... and country music just talks about it.
Love you brother. Wishing you a great life! I’ll bet your daughters will love you & cherish their memories of you for all their lives. Keep being you and keep keeping on.
It's SO true! I'm 70 now! My kids are grown, half my granddaughters are grown and I have 3 great grandsons. My husband is gone and I sure do miss those days! Seems like I blinked and here I am!
You said, this is making you emotional. Well that is why people say they don't like country music. Because it will punch you in the heart, and make you feel things most people don't want to feel. But then there are some of is that were are hearts on are sleeve, and love to feel things.
The last verse of this song really gets to me because I was working overnights when my kids were those ages, and I just couldn't wait until I could catch my next nap because I was always so tired. I feel like I rushed right through their childhood. They are 19 and 20 and I can't believe how fast all those years went 😢😢😢
My friend, I found your channel thanks to this song, which is one of my favorites, because I listen to it every time I feel like I'm losing my focus on what's important: my family. Your reaction has been very authentic. You have gained a subscriber. A big hug from Santiago de Chile. I hope your parents are well
This song makes the tears fall for me. I really wish I would have not been so angry when my kids were little. My wife told me I'd miss that stage. She was right. So was my mom. Enjoy your babies! Money is not that friggin important. Neither is a job.
I've lived almost my entire 65 years in my hometown, a small place in east-central Mississippi, and you know something, I'm right where I want to be. I never had any children of my own, but I always tried to play a major role in the lives of my nieces & nephews, and now their children. I don't have words to tell them how important they are to me!
I'm reminded of something you said in a previous video. About how country music often has a bit of wisdom to offer. That's the main point of this. The wisdom that you need to enjoy NOW.
I was born and raised in Texas. Very south Texas. Never went to one school more than a year. Some not even a year. I never hated it. And now, I’m so grateful to have learned how small the world can be. I attended 13 different schools in Texas and I don’t k is a stranger. I have very little fear and you can’t out socialize me. Ha. I’m grateful. Every town is different names and faces but all the same folks. Home is where folks know you. Where someone remembers you “when”. Not a place. Nice reaction.
@Sebs- Welcome to the country family bro. I have been listening to Country for years and just love it bc they always tell great stories. Trace has been a great one for a long time and this song has such a great message. Another great country song you should react to is Billy Curringtons song called People Are Crazy. You will love it.
Dear sebs I love your reactions. Im one of your biggest fans, and i love the way you react to some of my favorite songs. Give your beautiful family a hug from me. Have a good night and God bless alk of you
I have been waiting for you to react to this song!!! Knowing the stage of life you’re in, I know this will hit. And trust me….my baby is in college now, & I miss the time when my babies we littles like yours!
My oldest turned.18 last month and my baby turned 12 yesterday. This song brings me to tears. In June..the same week..I will have a high school graduate and one leaving elementary for high school. I'm a mess already thinking about that. My boys have become my whole world. My husband traveled for months at a time until my youngest was 5 and we have a tight bond the 3 of us. My boys would do anything for their Mama.
The algorithm really helped me out here. Been dealing with alot and been in my head alot and then i stumble upon your video. It was everything i needed to clear my head out again. Thank you sir
Don't ever be embarrassed about getting emotional when listening to a well written and performed traditional country song. There's not a lot of traditional country music left today and that's what traditional country music is about. Love of God, family and country. Being unafraid to point out what's wrong in the world and having the courage to speak out and do something about. That's traditional country music and it's intended to inspire emotion.
Such a wonderful song! I don't have children, but my friends and relatives do, so I can understand the mixed emotions a lttle bit, although not as much as they can.
At 71 and being a widow, I'm crying right now remembering it all. Luckily, my son and Granddaughter live with me and I try to be present. Great message in this song.

You're doing fine and this is worth crying for. Memories either haunt or revive the soul. Use them for the good.
I'm sorry for your loss
Anybody at any point in their life can relate to this. We all have times in out lives that we wish we could go back to, a time that we miss.
I can’t help but LOVE Trace’s music, regardless of which side of his personality we’re getting. He has quite the funny side, too. And when he buddies up with Blake, it’s awesome!
We will all miss the past, the best you can hope for is that you don't miss the past when it is happening.
This song reminds me of the warning I give parents: you will go to sleep tonight and tomorrow you will wake up and your child will be 18 and your going to wonder what happened. My son turns 18 this summer and I love who he is today, but I miss the younger him too.

Speaking from 70 years, it will pass you by and you will wonder, where did it go. Live it as much as you can.
Go hug those babies! I love how you can see the beauty in all genres of music and can take the lyrics and connect them to your own life.
😭💭
As a mother of 4 grown children..my youngest just turned 20 and my oldest turned 31 today🎉..this song hits hard in the gut and the heart!❤❤❤
Know how you feel I have 4 between 21 and 30

It's amazing how we look at our adult children and still see our babies standing there😍
My Daughter was 8 when this came out, since 8th grade her dad always dedicated this song for her !!!!!!!! wow how time flies!!! Shes 23 now !!!!
Sebs you have a lovely wife and beautiful baby girls! You are a wealthy man. All the money in the world can't replace that! I have a son and a daughter who are both grown. Oh... I love this song. I was hoping you'd get to this one eventually. Every parent needs to hear this song ❤️
Even if you aren't a parent it is a good reminder to stay in the moment and appreciate all that is around you instead of looking so far in the future you dont enjoy today.
Every person needs to hear this song.

I LOVE THIS SONG TRACE HAS AND MILITERY VOICE, AH. THIS IS AWSOME THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT REACTION SEB 💞💞💞💞💞💞
I saw Trace in concert. Love him!
I'm reminded of something you said in a previous video. About how country music often has a bit of wisdom to offer. That's the main point of this. The wisdom that you need to enjoy NOW.
Omg I’m so glad you reacted to his song. IT’s a favorite of mine. I think about so much I wish I could go back.
I cry every time I hear this. I love my Dad so this touches me.
Oh yes...Trace is my favorite! ❤
Love that you are softee. You have a beautiful family!!!!
I miss it so much I wish I could turn back time to when my kids were little again.
This is so true! My youngest is 35. What happened to the time. Take time out, play, laugh, and love now!
You have a beautiful family! Music should make you feel ❤
Dear sebs

Give your beautiful family a hug from me.
Have a good night and God bless alk of you
This is my favorite Trace Atkins song! It was on the radio all the time on road trips when my kids were younger. Still makes me a little misty eyed!
My condolences to you Sebs as well as your family , especially for your parents. 🙏👑🙏
I have been waiting for you to react to this song!!! Knowing the stage of life you’re in, I know this will hit. And trust me….my baby is in college now, & I miss the time when my babies we littles like yours!
Days go by slow and years go by fast
Love from Ogden, UT
My oldest turned.18 last month and my baby turned 12 yesterday. This song brings me to tears. In June..the same week..I will have a high school graduate and one leaving elementary for high school. I'm a mess already thinking about that. My boys have become my whole world. My husband traveled for months at a time until my youngest was 5 and we have a tight bond the 3 of us. My boys would do anything for their Mama.
There's nothing better than music that can bring out emotion in the people listening. Trace Adkins has a lot of songs like that.
Trace is my favorite! LOVE him!
The algorithm really helped me out here. Been dealing with alot and been in my head alot and then i stumble upon your video. It was everything i needed to clear my head out again. Thank you sir
I feel you man, this song gets me everytime, great reaction!
One of my favorite songs
Getting emotional is actually a good thing, not bad and not embarrassing. Love your reactions.
Another amazing Trace song in this vein is "Then they do" It is more somber than this & will bring a tear to your eye.
Such a wonderful song! I don't have children, but my friends and relatives do, so I can understand the mixed emotions a lttle bit, although not as much as they can.
This song is life. We need to step back and enjoy every aspect of life.
