Bit of trivia, when Gob starts to stutter about his suit to Michael, Will Arnett actually forgot his lines and that moment between the two was improvised.
When he started stuttering 'should... should.... should' and Michael shushed him gently, that was both funny and heartwrenchingly sad. Gob tries so hard not to be a fuckup but never gets there.
It’s also improvised; Will forgot the next line. And it’s so perfectly in line with Gob and Michael’s relationship that they kept in the final cut. What an unbelievably funny show.
I wonder if astronauts walk around in the spaceshuttle before a spacewalk and say "Yeah, get some dehydrated beef stew on my 150 thousand dollar suit?!? Come ON!!!!"
I only just now realized that Gob keeps increasing the price by $1,000 every time he speaks about his suit. And then when he's defeated at the end of the day, he goes back to a modest $3,000 price range. It's the little things that makes Arrested Development a timeless classic.
I mean, not really. It was a cult classic for several years, despite the FOX cancellation, before garnering so much popularity that it was revived on Netflix.
I love the international aspect of humour, or maybe it's the brilliant play of Will Arnett... English is not my native language, but I laugh my ass off watching this show, and these scenes in particular.
