4:54 just a correction, normally you buffer the Q before going for the flash since it goes instantly (Flash-Q can work as well but Q-Flash is more reliable if i'm not mistaken)

I play jayce mid with the same build. Works amazing against range mage classes. the logic is similar to what Yedaoshen do with talon: make your 4 fast basic attack jayce combo and run
Play this also mid just with first strike to gain gold and poke/burst them. Its really effectiv strat.

Shame when he'll get nerfed :( was fun being able to use Jayce when he is "strong also on paper". Because I played him when he was at 47wr and still felt OK/good, but now really everything was much easier. Easier to lane, to snowball, to recover if behind, etc..

@@marziomoretti6167 because some champions are better utilized by players with more mechanical skill, a la jayce and ryze, and if they approach 50% wr it means that the people who better utilize them are winning more than the average player. a champion like jayce who is good at all ranges and can play both ahead and behind has no real weaknesses, so when he's tuned for casual play he ends up absurd when piloted by more capable players.
@@marziomoretti6167 well if u count high rank as normal it's very important to have "hard" champions a low generic win rate since those champions end up with 50+% win rate in high rank, eg when akali had a 50% win rate she was 56% wr in high rank def not fun playing against that
@@marziomoretti6167 I agree with you, champs like Akali, Irelia, Fiora, Camille, Darius, Yone, Yasuo, Samira, Akshan, Ksante, etc are all overloaded and overpowered in many ways. They don't take a particularly huge skill gap to master if you one trick them but they're Rito's favorite children so they won't allow significant nerfs to them despite being unbalanced in many ways
Idk if u would ever want it but i want to help u with the videos, there are couple things in those plays that u are missing and im sure ppl would love to understand even the smallest secrets on why those ppl are so good, for example in the clip where he dives tristana, after his ee cc ends, he purposely goes to the wall so tristana cant use ult to prevent her from dying.
Also the comment isnt meant to offend you, u are doing an amazing job and i love all your videos, but im sure most ppl cant understand some (at first sight) random movements ppl someitmes do.

idk if this aggressive playstyle will work the same after the Eclipse omnivamp nerf. I tried playing Jayce with Eclipse for a couple games and I couldn't really utilize the champion as well as before.

@@GymbuBen idk eclipse feels weird on jayce now, i've been testing a lot of prowlers jayce since the changes and it feels way better than eclipse as it is now, tho eclipse is still good in some heavy trading matchups but that's about it

@@GymbuBen i think it is a buff to but maybe some play style rely on the 7% omni vamp? no way right it is way to small to make a meanful impact.
Whats so impressive to me is that his ranged Q-E must be done with his mouse close to his character since the gate opens up in melee range from him. It blows my mind I always have to mouse over my opponent to know where the Q will land how the hell can he snipe when his mouse is that close to his character? It's like he is playing real pool and im here playing the miniclip version with the guide lines showing where the ball will go
For the fast E-Q combo you need to aim over the enemy champion, press q and then you quickly drag the mouse to your champion and press e. It is a fast movement that you have to practice, but never aim Q close to your character.
Very good point. Aiming point blank to launch a perfect Q takes some serious skill. I didn't even consider this till I read your comment. +1
I'm not that good but i find it easier to do QE point blank than Q where the champ is/will be then quickly drag my mouse near Jayce.

I’m surprised malphite and mundo (and some other tanks) weren’t mentioned as counters. Mundo def harder than irelia, much more unfun to play against.
Lots of mundo nerfs came in the recent patch and grievous wounds finally does 40% damage off the component (executioners, oblivion orb, bramble vest). I went against a mundo like 3 times in this patch and it was significantly easier than before. But funny thing is that i still lose super hard to fiora because it's balanced to have a true damage passive and heal in her kit
Jayce shits on mundo, player who are silver lvl and take conqueror instead of phase rush and trade to much in mele just get beat up by him.
I think because in super high elo jayce counters all tanks by having lane priority, and the jungler is paying attention, by the time they get resistances they'll probably have half of Jayce cs. But it feels funny when you make a misstep against champs like malphite and ornn and you get chunked when they press 2 buttons

jayce is honestly such a cool champ, in a world of insane reworks and infinite dashes, his kit just seems so unique and watching high level gameplay of him is great

@@kamilmcki8631 Jayce can't be considered artillery in the current meta, he doesn't have the range unless you Q+E, but even with those 2, unless you have 2/3 items you won't deal that much, and it's not like you stick around as long to use it multiple times

of course the jayce buffs were a mistake he deals waaaay tp much damage, already were in a good spot and is ranged top
if he gets ahead ( or has enought items) he can one shot anything eaven bruiseres with 1 combo (for tanks mybe 2 to 3 combos) and can t get one shot due to his last buff they gave him the extra 60 armor he gets in hammer form with already good base stats

If the enemy team is literally all one shot one kill you could try for Duskblade since it has better potential but still Eclipse is better

How's that? This guy has 19% wr in the last 16 games. Jayce got buffed but the nerfs to Eclipse, maw, etc nerfed his itemization. I play him mid and I struggle a lot cuz I easily get poked out and If I try to trade with a combo I get outraded anyway (if not dead)...
He dropped ranks after the changes to eclipse. Definitely harder early game without the vamp

Jayce is part of a small group of champions that have been broken for a long time but nobody plays because they're either hard to learn or unfun to play.
Taric is another champ that's super strong and has a game-breaking ultimate but... holy shit so boring to play.

Cannon W gives you max attack speed for 3 auto attacks. Combo at 0:25 is Cannon W -> R -> Q -> W -> E -> Flash -> auto auto auto

Most tanks also do well into jayce by denying him to snowball (he litteraly can't kill them unless they troll) and then outperforming him in teamfights.
How to get an easy level 1 kill on Jayce
Take Hail of Blades, Sudden Impact, Eyeball, Treasure Hunter. Presence/Coup or Manaflow/Absolute. Buy D-Blade. Start with W and Start on Cannon form. Have Ignite and Flash. Hide where you think enemy will be. Auto enemy activating Hail of Blades doing 228 damage with 3 autos in quick succession. Activate W doing 387.6 damage. Ignite doing 70 damage. This does a total of about 685.6 depending on resistances, starting items, and runes taken. Most likely you will have done 600-800 damage in a matter of seconds. The highest hp is Kled at 810 next is Tryn with 696.
If you do this on an ambush invade you will definitely get a level 1 kill for the team.

@Simion Cristian Yes this is an option. But it's all on how much risk you want to take. Also D-blade helps to sustain lane and regain some health from the fight.
Good on this dude. Personally i do not understand why go phase rush. If you have trouble sticking on the enemy, glacial does that much more consistently and has a lower base cooldown. Having to hit someone three times in four seconds just to gain some movement speed seems, frankly, terrible compared to other keystones.

For any elos below diamond in NA wanting to try Jayce, max E over W to improve your hammer burst combo. People underestimate Jayce in this region and will often walk up to your hammer Q range to eat your full combo. W max is better against more cautious players which NA rarely has.
