Short summary of our 2020 cat toy review:
Both my cats loved the bird toy and it remained a cherished plaything for months before the string finally broke. The old cat, Berta, also liked it, and would prefer to play during the night. My concern was that after I'd attached toy bird to window the suction cup would come loose, but this never happened. The feathers on this toy bird are also a safety concern, but the best way to make cat toys with feathers safe, is to simply cut them off. I did this with the Window Teaser and it didn't lose any of its charm. Another great thing about the toy is the price, so if you are strapped for cash, this is an affordable bird cat toy. All in all - a great toy, at a great price.

Well, if we're talking nip, the potency lasts for about 4 months. Unfortunately, the birds don't come wrapped in plastic, so unless you buy 'em fresh from the factory there's no telling how long they've been deteriorating in the shop. I'd say one bird per cat per month, just to be on the safe side :)
