I love watching your videos . Every part is enjoyable. I had to rewatch and pause the catamaran in the boat show many times just to marvel at the size of that airconditioning unit installed.on the back !! Thats a first. Never seen anything like that in the Med ! Very apartmentey 😅

AC is the standard over there, on a boat it must consume lots of energy 🙄

We were wondering if we should do this episode or not because it changes from the regular sanding and grinding videos. We decided that it could be a breath of fresh air. It makes us happy that you enjoyed it. Hopefully soon we can start making videos in the water 😅 it’s too much sanding 🤗

@@sailingjoa It was wonderful. 😎 We are sanding, as well, and filling thru hulls, and it seems like it will never end. 😁 One day, our boats will return to the water. In the meantime, we will watch whatever you film. (But we REALLY enjoyed Busan.) 🤗

@maryjnorwood3962 looks like we are on the same boat 😅 we don’t want to push you to join patreon but if you liked the short Busan episode the full episode is there! For the patreons we included the trip to the traditional market where we had way too much food and drinks. We decided to not put that part here because it’s nothing to do with the channel. Please don’t feel obligated or pressured to join. We are very happy to have you guys in this platform and we will continue sharing our stories here 🤗

There are so many Korean TV shows streaming in the U.S. that it was interesting to see a little of Korea that isn't from TV. I was expecting one of you to drink many bottles of soju and having to be carried back to your home (hotel) by your best friends. From the shows it appears to happen often.... To me it just looks painful.
Sailing is also less popular here and the boat shows have become 80%-90% aimed at powerboats. We can still get ideas of what is possible for upgrades on either type of boats. Thank you for the glimpse of Korea.

Hello Dave, 😅 yes Korean culture is very alcohol oriented, that happens very frequently and it’s socially accepted. We think that if we go for another boat show it would have to be a bigger one. Motor boats are ok but not our cup of tea 🧐

Hopefully you get to visit Cannes or fall-Annapolis... boatshows. In the future.

Yes! Maybe that will be more up our alley. Let’s see where we are in the refit at that time 😄

It’s not true! There were no zombies on the train! They faked that movie!

I think there's multiple reasons why sailing isn't yet a big thing in Korea:
    (1) Lack of generational experience - sailing tends to be an activity that you learn as a kid and pass to your kids. In the past, Korea didn't have much opportunity to keep this culture. I think this will change.
    (2) Typhoons and monsoons - it's not easy sailing and boats get beaten up (I think that's why so many cruising boat you'll see are aluminium). In addition, you need to know what you're doing with your sailboat when in these waters. This is true for all of East Asia.
    (3) Lack of time. Sailing is a deliberately slow activity. Doesn't match the Korean prevalent 빨리빨리 culture.
Just my guess. We hope to bring our cruising catamaran to Busan in the coming years, across the Pacific from California, and participate in the nascent sailing culture.

Yes, things go fast here😊 but that is one of the charms of this place. From California to Busan… that will be a big voyage 💪 we wish that you have a good safe journey.
