This guide is a life savior i really had 0 idea how tf should i survive 4 senturies and a idoled hideous mass in the last room. This is gonna help me a ton, so thank you, waiting for part 2.
Gonna get to work as soon as possible! I only need to edit it, but the audio for panopticon and sisyphus is 30 minutes long, so it will take me a little bit!
I was definitely not expecting this very helpful and high quality of a guide to be on such a small channel (definitely gonna have to drop a sub). The guide was genuinely very helpful and explained very well. (I can actually do the gauntlet in violent mode now.)
Fun fact: Overpumping can one shot virtues, so instead of using the electric railcanon on them, you can save it and just dash into an overpump for an easy kill. This also applies for every other virtue encounter i guess.
Thankyou so much for this guide, I forgot how powerful the sawblade launcher was and completely forgot to use it during my previous P-2 attempts, it took a few hours, a few keyboard smashes and a long lay down to cool my nerves before the final gauntlet arena, but I did it; P-2 is now just as golden as P-1 Thankyou.
i went and used some of your strategies along with mixing in some of my own, got to sisyphus literally 5 attempts in, i didnt practice him much beforehand so i thought i was gonna have to repeat the gauntlet, but i managed to kill him, thanks for the help :)
the fucking mic change from "from under a blanket" part legitatetely made me pop up and freak out i tjougjt someone came into my room and i dont usually jump at stuff like that cant believe i got jumpscared by a gag in an ultrakill video
Puzzles indeed. Some of these encounters feel almost insurmountable at first, but fall apart like wet tissue paper if you come at them just the right way. Quite possibly the greatest video game puzzles I have ever seen. I learned so much tech while just trying to P-rank this one dam level (along with how hard this community is sleeping on certain weapons and variants). There wasn't a single weapon variation that didn't play a significant role in my winning attempt (aside from the screwdriver which, in hindsight, probably would have enabled me to beat Sisyphus with more than *1 HP* left if I had used it). Also I learned the S.R.S Cannon is really good (being able to instantly dish out 12 damage) and can oneshot cerberi, sentries, and virtues if you shoot them and immediately punch the ball (usually at point-blank so you can punch the ball instantly after shooting it). I switched it to my default. Come to think of it, after some recent updates the rocket launcher in general is pretty powerful.
routes i like to take 1: i like to dash jump next to either sentry and alt piercer shoot followed by a railcannon, killing the sentry in front of you and heavily damaging the other sentry and swordsmachine 2: for the 2 idoled mindflayer room: you can nuke the sentry at the start, nuke the swordsmachines when they are next to each other or sawtrap the swordsmachines 3: you can use the sharpshooter to insta-kill the maurice in the second half of the spaghetti room 4: you can start off the last room with a saw trap in the middle as well to semi consistently kill the swordsmachines 5: you can hide in the tunnel with the door the the boss fight in the hideous mass and 4 sentry fight to avoid the sentry los (note: this is pretty risky as the hideous mass can launch mortars or slam to force you out of there) hope this helps
In the final encounter if you are confident in your movement yyou can leave the virtures for last. Virtues wont be enraged if there is 3 or more of them so they make for great grapple points to avoid the mess down below and ez heals as long as you keep moving. So you can just break the idol firsy and olau floor is lava till everything below is dead
Wow, I actually didn't know they can't enrage if there's 3 or more of them... Thanks for the info. This would have fit perfectly for people who rely on the whiplash far more than the rocket launcher. Damn. Wish I knew earlier.
Another strat you could use for encounter 2 is slide hopping into the rightmost sentry's spawn position with a fully charged slab piercer, shoot both sentries & the swordsmachine then follow up with a railcannon; the swordsmachine can then be parried or be killed in very few shotgun blasts afterwards and the sentries, if they happen to still be alive, can be killed with a single weak revolver shot After that, you just need to clean up the weaklings and you're good to go
Excellent strat, I can't believe it didn't occur to me. I was too focused on the swordsmachine, since I like keeping sentries around for chargebacks. Nice work!
I watched only like 3 and a half minutes of this video, and I all want to say - you are a madman, this is a fucking fantastic video, I will definetely watch it after I'll get my p-rank on p-2 :O
Thank you for this video! I have a different technique for blood tunnel 1 which I think people should know. If you whiplash + overpump one of the virtues, if you aim and dash correctly you can kill the virtue, blast the other virtue into the wall, kill one malicious face by reflecting the bullets (likely dealing substantial damage to the other) and launch towards the sentry
I really, really like this guide! Thanks for making it. Too bad I P-ranked the level before drfeelgood finished the guide, and I developed some of my own strats as well (though this guide did show me some new strats which I'll be using from now on): 1: instead of nuking or railcoining, I first shoot a cannonball at one of the cerberi in the middle, and then hit it with a malicious railcannon, and then set up a saw trap. my nailcoins and nukes are very inconsistent so I use this strat, I also use the slab revolver and parry the ferryman. 3: to conserve my saws for the next room, instead of setting up a saw trap, I'd just use coins (if possible) to instakill the streetcleaners, projectile boosts, and the slab revolver 4: instead of lining up a double kill with the rail cannon, I just overpump one virtue and railgun the other, since overpumps instakill virtues 5: a saw trap and a good railcoining should almost guarantee a kill on one of the insurrectionists immediately, leaving the player with only one to fight and with the ultraricoshot + bipolar style points 6: just like in encounter 4, I overpump one virtue, use its explosion to launch myself to the sentry, railcannon the other one, and then try to knuckleblast the sentry into the blood wall, if I fail there the maurices should usually kill it, I then use the whiplash and shotguns to take care of the maurices 8-2: I would just stand in one corner, dodge the hideous mass' projectiles, and just shoot the sentry antennas of the visible sentries 8-3: again, same thing, overpump 2 virtues, rail cannon one if I didn't mention anything it's either because I used the same strat or a worse strat, hope I gave you, whoever's reading this, some ideas.
Only thing I'd change is the malicious rail into the cannonball. Nuking the cannonball does no additional damage, you only get the cannonbal explosion damage + malrail damage, there's no red explosion. Unless your goal is to hit two cerbs with the malrail, using the electric rail will do more damage. You'll get the cannonball explosion + electric rail damage. This is better for single targets, obviously. If you stepped to the side, like I do in the railcoin strat for the first fight, you can probably hit all 4 cerbs with the rail!
@@Sheba7660 thanks for the advice! I did try railcoining but I just find that I'm really inconsistent with those, though I can kill 2 cerberi in 1 railcoin if I do hit it properly
One weird thing I found on the idol stalker room is that you can stand on top of the red windows, you can use that to trigger Ferryman lightning chargebacks but I haven't found much use for it besides complete safety when dealing with Swordmachines
i gave up on p ranking it, its literally impossible i have tried everything i sometimes even stop playing cuz being frustrate doesnt help but no matter what i cannot dodge attacks i give up i cant dodge any of the attacks on the 2 mindflayer room and im tired of being frustrated so honestly this level is where i stop p ranking the game, really awesome you managed to p rank it dunno why but ive been playing ultrakill for months and i cant charge back
I learned basically every tech and enemy moveset in the sandbox. Try going in the sanbox and playinf around with flayers, or malicious faces, if you want to chargeback. I recommend turning on cheats and major assists. Turn on no weapon cooldown, and lower (or turn off) enemy damage using major assists. You can also slow the game down 50% to figure out enemy movesets, timing for various tech, etc. You can even gradually lower how much these assist help you, until you are back at 100%, but I personally just use 50% speed and 100% speed.
I like the rocket trick at 6B. I prefer this variation, though: Freeze rocket launcher, shoot, jump and slam. Then ride it, freeze in the middle of both virtues and maurices, then shoot and whiplash. Does a lot more damage and is guaranteed 100% every time. Instead of shotgun swapping you can just KB the sentry and send it flying to the blood tunnel which will kill it.
My one improvement I can suggest is in the hallway with the cerb and street cleaner you can installing the cerb with the srs cannon by whiplashing into it releasing the button and immediately parrying it and shooting a rocket and dashing at the same time then either gas tank the street cleaner or shotgun swap
For 6a, the strategy I use is overpump reflecting the two maurices at the start of the room. Ive found it consistently enrages if not outright kills them at no real cost to resources.
3:43 you can use a shotgun overpump to instakill both virtues, if you don't get it perfectly, you might instakill one and the other one will be a coin away from death i find it more common to instakill 1 but im bad
True. I rarely use overpumps for some reason, so I actually forgot to mention it 💀 Although I also prefer a consistent way with no potential self damage to riskier strats when initially learning a level. Wackier strats are for when you master a level. I don't think people are gonna be rocket whiplashing in the blood tunnel fpr their first P rank, but that strat was too cool not to include.
3 tips for the blessed stalker room 1. if you are in desperate need of health, use the straysas a healing source when fighting the ferryman and 2 swordsmachines. 2. When the cerberi spawn with the virtues. shoot the red parts of the floor. it is actually water, and will transmit the railcannon throughout the water, weakening the cerberi. yYou then have to test you skill by using the pump charge and the whiplash on each of the virtues. if that doesn't work, you can shotgun swap to make it easier. 3. when you have the idle removed for the hideous mass, wait for it to shoot the two projectiles and quickly parry one, and projectile boost afterwards. This will leave it at very low health and will be easy to take out.
god, those two idoled mindflayers are just omnipresent, even with these strats it feels impossible to think, let alone survive more than 6 seconds in there. the saw trap never seems to work, the moment i try to do anything one teleports on me and b*tch slaps me into the astral plane. one time i try to go in to deal with the sentry, hear a teleport, and am immediately one-two'ed out of existence I can't even begin to imagine how I P-ranked P-1 this same day
@@mr.tweaty Ok, let's try to simplify, then. Let's automate some of the fight. When practicing in sandbox, try to keep slide jumping and slam jumping while moving. You see me do this a lot. The airtime from a slam jump lets you get distance from enemies, usually lets you jump over projectiles, and keeps you safe from maurice beams in the second phase of the fight. Use your ears to listen for the orb charge attack. That's the slowest one, but also the one most likely to hit you. If you keep moving like I said, you should be able to dodge the melee and laser attack without even trying. When you hear the orbs coming, try to parry them. The full heal + style helps a lot. I usually parry, and dash to the side nearly at the same time to dodge the rest of the orbs. Secondly, I made a new guide on keybinds and stuff. If you haven't, you might wanna take a look at it. I don't know what it looks like when you play, but swapping weapons, dodging, slam jumoing, etc. should be as easy as breathing. I changed my binds a lot, and it helps me execute all these inputs with minimal finger gymnastics.
First room can be cheesed if you stand on the door frame as if you stand there you don't get attacked. Virtues can still hit you, so I like to kill 3 of the Cerberus and leave one in cannonball one shot range before killing Ferryman, which also spawns the Virtues.
I've been very busy finishing up my second coin tech video, so I haven't tested it yet (video is almost 1 hour long lol). That's great to hear, thanks for letting me know!
I have an amazing strategy for the first mindflayer room in which you slide dash jump to the corner with a charged slab sharpshooter and use it on the two sentries followed up by a railcannon and a couple coins after and then clear the room of the schisms with the shotgun and rocket launcher
Also, I would like to add that when you touch the checkpoint in the two idol room, the mindflayer’s attack is reset, and will consistently fire the homing balls after some time!
A new trick that can be used against the 2 virtues that appear outside of the room with 4 cerberus's: The slab sharpshooter can kill them both in 1 shot. As long as you are aligned with both of them and don't aim way too up or down.
I meant when you reach the final encounter, if you have an A in style. Meaning after you kill the hideous mass and stalker, check your style to see if you're close to S, or already at S. If that's the case, on your next attempts you can freely scrongle the insurrectionists and cheesing some encounters (panopticon in particular! Part 2 is currently rendering, so if I don't get an error, it should be up today!)
@@Sheba7660 I find that on my runs, I both don't have enough style points(only an A) and take too long(B or A), I feel I mostly take too long killing the Mindflayers in encounter 4 and finishing the last room in ecounter 8-3, any tips on how to get more style and kill them faster(and yes I have tried to stay in the air for longer to get the style multiplier)
@@thetruecyrusplayz1256 I think your bet is first going into sandbox and being able to survive against a single mindflayer without difficulty. You should be able to dodge every laser and parry every orb attack no problem (melee is super fast, so even I get hit sometimes). After that, try surviving against two at the same time. You should praxtice just surviving and getting heals from orbs, and also try practicing actively trying to kill them. You'll get MUCH more practice this way, compared to what you'd get by trying to learn ina room with 2 idoled flayers with a bunch of enemies, too. It becomes too chaotic to follow. edit: forgot about 8-3. I assume you deal with the virtues just fine, but you have trouble outputting the damage to melt the massive combined health pool of everything else there. Provided you are constantly moving one way using slide jumps, you can focus on outputting damage. Just spam nukes, saws and proboosts, and that should do it.
Does Tenbre Rosso Sanguage scare you now? 8:18 Did anyone notice the sentry ragdoll taking a Aerial face plant into the pavement? Also oh god 2 Blessed Mindflayers. Someone Railcoin me into being a blood splatter like V2.
I actually like to use the KB to scrongle at least one of the sentries in the second fight. Not really optimal but it's really funny to just yeet them up into the blood for an instakill.
the weezer room got significantly easier, just plant several frozen rockets in the middle of the room, activate the encounter, and HOPE one of the cerbs dashes into the rockets(this works most of the time).this will instakill all 4 cerbs, and you can deal with the ferryman however you want
Hey man, I went from 15 (all of which were my friends) to almost 600 in the span of one month! That's great progress! Hopefully I can keep making content that people like watching!
Script is mostly done, I just need to see if I missed anything (I am checking all tech in the game to see how compatible it is with different layouts), and after that I'll start editing it. Was supposed to do it for my second guide, but P-2 came out.
What I do with the first tunnel is use the Sharpshooter Revolver to shoot the Maurice's projectiles at the right time to knock the Virtues into the walls. Still working on the timing tho
I told myself I wouldn’t come to guide videos, but after so much practice, so many retries, I still get stuck on the bit with the 2 invincible mindflayers. I have learnt how to consistently land chargebacks, I have learnt how to knuckleblast parry, and I still cannot do it.
I personally use the red revolver + railgun + 1 coin + sawtrap to kill off the sentries and swordsmachine! The satisfaction of seeing “triple kill” is unmatched for me, except for maybe no damage ofc!
Is it possible to instakill/near instakill the Ferryman in the Stalker Room with the Overheat Sawblade Launcher instead of the Overheat Nailgun? Because I don't use either Nailgun, have no intention to because it has genuinely zero use case to me outside of this single moment if there's no other way, and suck ass at fighting Ferrymen while juggling every other enemy on the planet.
Not sure if it can instakill, but it will surely bring him close to death. Overheat saw comes out basically instantly, so regardless of whether it instakills or not, you will get a LOT of free damage with an equal time investment to a projectile boost. Just magnet, saw, overhead alt, and then you can spam more saws if you want to. Overheat should do plenty of damage regardless!
@@Sheba7660 Thanks for the quick reply! And I'll be sure to give it a shot, hopefully I can get it done good, I've got my game paused right outside of the Stalker Room for my current run, and was hoping to find something on how to do it before I needed to turn off my PC.
Attempted it, try 1 failed, I'm guessing I aimed too high because it hit the pillar too high? I really can't tell where to aim there tbh, no matter how high I put the quality of the video that part just looks really blurry
@@oneperson7795 I just guesstimate it. I recommend just getting to that part and resetting the checkpoint no matter if you win or lose, until you are consistently winning. I could recommend several approaches, too. You can try anticipating the spawn and using a railcoin or any similar combo to oneshot or severely wound the ferryman. Other recommendations would be to reposition with rocket rides, or if you're bad at those, simply rocket jump away and heal using another enemy if you're scared of mr. spoon. Lastly, remember that you can use rockets and the knuckleblaster to launch the stalker into a different zip code, which will make the fight a lot more manageable, because you won't have to manage sanded enemies! Lemme know if you make it :)
@@Sheba7660 Managed to find some time for attempts today, and I FINALLY DID IT! P-2 P-Rank is complete, and with that, other than hitting wave 50 in the cybergrind to unlock the last starting wave (current best is Wave 38), I've now 100%ed Ultrakill on Violent as best I can, all P-Ranks done, all Secrets and Challenges done, and all available Secret Levels found (obviously not counting unreleased stuff). Now I guess I've just gotta figure out how to get better at the Cybergrind and I guess maybe P-Rank everything on the lower difficulties too?
There are a lot of places where the Sharpshooter would be exceptionally useful, like using the wall bounce in tight arenas like the first one and the corridor before the blue skull, or to instakill Malicious Faces.
Not for me. I have muscle memory from using the rocket launcher on non-idoled stalkers to get them away from enemies. The follow up is whatever you feel most comfortable with. And don't quote me on this, but at least it feels to me that the rocket launcher has slightly more knockback compared to proboosting. This is why I chose the RL over the shotgun.
I know this video is old af, but my one question is: how much style should I have at each point in the level? I can't find any videos that mention this. For example, how much should I have after the double mindlfayer room? I usually have around 13k
I could test that for you, but my numbers will be skewed since I'll probably have more style than necessary. Usually, it's enough to try and avoid more damage. Or try new combos (coin punch slabcoins always give me a bunch of style, for instance)
1. It deals a lot more damage in a single instant compared to a saw that has to travel in a large arc. 2. It lets me have a damaging zone in the centre, and not only in the sawblade circle. And most importantly 3. I like the fuller auto it has. No, really. I just think BRRRRRRT is more satisfying than the single thwack of the sawblade launcher, but I like the utility sawblades bring. This is why I have magnet saw and overheat nail :)
Have you tried dropping down into that hallway towards the lift to break line of sight? Or using the hideous mass as cover? You can use the cannonball to launch one sentry at a distance, and knuckleblaster one that you're close to. The opposite side should be completely safe because of the hideous mass, so you only have to worry about dodging one sentry (or not even that, if you already killed one). Try to make the most out of downtime between shots. Remember that you can always hit a sentry with a coin if you get a split shot, since one will go to the hideous mass 99% of the time, and the other should go into the nearest sentry. And if all sentries are synced to shoot - simply dash storage. 1 second of invincibility is a fairly generous window to dodge!
Like I said, you're free to do that, but I prefer doing it with other weapons for two reasons: 1. I have my rail ready as soon as I set up the trap to start the second fight, and 2. Since I like railcoining the swordsmachine, I have maximum freshness for maximum style points, whereas you lose some of that when you rail two enemies and then wait for the cooldown to railcoin afterwards.
@@Sheba7660 I use my rail as soon as I can because if I think too hard about when to use it I end up just not using it Also 36k style isn't really a problem, I got like 34k on a level with ~11k requirement
Okey I MIGHT not have followed any of the advice here and just bullheaded my way through the level again and again but I managed to P-rank P-2, so who's going to complain? Sisiphys? He can't, he's dead, thank you for the video anyways, where did you learn all of those cool tricks? do you have any videos on that?
I only have a video on advanced coin mechanics regarding the coin tricks. As for rocket rides, I just used gLud3's guide to learn them. I don't think I can add much to the tech discussion right now, so I haven't made more tech guides.
Practice vs 1 flayer in the sandbox until it is easy. Then practice against two. Just get good at dodging, then parrying the homing attack, and finally dealing damage. The first two will help with survivability in that room, and if you can manage those two, you'll be able to kill them with no issues. You can heal by damaging them until the end, but parries are great! The homing attack is easiest to parry at first, before it misses you once, because it is really slow at that point. It also does frankly insane damage. You can nearly oneshot swordsmachines with it!
Can you 1v2 flayers in the sandbox? Or even 1v3 or more? I basically ignore them and parry every orb attack they send my way. If you're moving a lot, they should miss with their melee and laser 90% of the time. The main problem is the other enemies attacking you in tandem with the flayers. If you listen to the orb sound, you can keep track of them even without looking. If you hear it's close to you, you just turn and parry. Instant full hp + 3 bars of stamina to keep you going until the next parry. Once you're good at switching your attention between killing the fodder ai and parrying / dodging the flayers, you just need to maintain your damage output until you reach the last phase of that room. You can also just restart the checkpoint even when you beat the room. Try to get to the point where you can beat that room semi-consistently. At that point, every now and then during a full run, you will beat the room. If everything else is manageable for you, it's just a matter of time until you're able to do it. If you really need some assistance, lemme know how to find you over discord or something, and you could show me how you play (just share a clip or something). Hard to tell where you're struggling like this. And from the sound of your comment, it seems this is not the first time you're struggling until close to rage quitting. Either do what I said above, lemme know how to find you, or upload an unedited clip on your channel and let me know. I think I could tell what your weaknesses are pretty quickly.
If I may, I’d like to offer my own method of dealing with the hallway with the Cerberus and Streetcleaners Charge a SRS Cannonball, and fire it as the Cerberus spawns, then shoot the cannonball with the railcannon right after it hits the Cerberus, this will instakill it, or at the very least get it close to death, letting you deal with the Streetcleaners in whatever way you fancy, I prefer going for the Streetcleaner Instakill with the Marksman, but it’s a bit random depending on the Mindflayer’s position, if it’s further away, go for it, otherwise, Sawblade deletes them as well
I somehow P-ranked Sisyphus without this guide- (And btw when you get into the stalker room, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE STALKER. I know I sound crazy, but just ignore it, just kill everything and you will be good.)
It's me, the mouse scroll wheel user, after p-ranking P-1, *P-2 is not safe from my wrath.* EDIT: I've gotten past all of the encounters without dying but the only reason I failed was because of a small blunder (I pressed ESC during Sisyphus monologue.)
Quick question: I saw that you were using alternate nail gun and standard overheat nail gun. Is this nessesary for p ranking bc i feel more comfortable with alternate overheat nail gun
Not at all! You can even hear me say around the 8th fight that i place my magnets on each side of the stairs so the SMs walk into the nails. It's completely up to you! I'll be going more into keybinds and weapon loadouts in my next guide, after the part 2 of this one. I postponed it because this update is newer and I needed to get this guide out before someone else beat me to it! 😁
What I like to do on the Weezer room (start cerberi) is to nuke them and then go to the side and use the red pistol and throw coins while it bounces to kill the cerberi
That's also pretty good, but in my opinion, the weezer room has two fail conditions: -you fucked up the cerb kill and now you can't see anything because of the camera shake -you still have 1-2 cerbs, along with a ferryman Ferryman is annoying enough as is in that small room, but an additional cerb makes it so much worse. If you're playing ultrapain, the game becomes comically unreadable with a few cerbs. A nuke + overpump is also a really nice option.
@@Sheba7660 yeah, if i fail, i usually follow up by a projectile boost on the shotgun when the 2 cerberi are together, since they will be on low hp to kill them with one explosion, as in for the ferryman, i set up a saw trap

ALWAYS go for chargebacks, my guy. Eventually it becomes subconscious

This is gonna help me a ton, so thank you, waiting for part 2.

I was definitely not expecting this very helpful and high quality of a guide to be on such a small channel (definitely gonna have to drop a sub). The guide was genuinely very helpful and explained very well. (I can actually do the gauntlet in violent mode now.)

This is by far one of if not the best p2 guide imo the multiple options/routes is great
Thank you! Really enjoyed figuring out all these strats
Fun fact: Overpumping can one shot virtues, so instead of using the electric railcanon on them, you can save it and just dash into an overpump for an easy kill. This also applies for every other virtue encounter i guess.
True, I forgot to mention that. Only realized after rewatching after uploading
Thankyou so much for this guide, I forgot how powerful the sawblade launcher was and completely forgot to use it during my previous P-2 attempts, it took a few hours, a few keyboard smashes and a long lay down to cool my nerves before the final gauntlet arena, but I did it; P-2 is now just as golden as P-1
Thankyou.
Glad to hear that! I really need to finish part 2 ASAP, otherwise everyone will already P rank it like you 😅
i went and used some of your strategies along with mixing in some of my own, got to sisyphus literally 5 attempts in, i didnt practice him much beforehand so i thought i was gonna have to repeat the gauntlet, but i managed to kill him, thanks for the help :)
No problem! Glad it worked for you :)
the fucking mic change from "from under a blanket" part legitatetely made me pop up and freak out i tjougjt someone came into my room and i dont usually jump at stuff like that cant believe i got jumpscared by a gag in an ultrakill video
Come to think of it, after some recent updates the rocket launcher in general is pretty powerful.
routes i like to take
1: i like to dash jump next to either sentry and alt piercer shoot followed by a railcannon, killing the sentry in front of you and heavily damaging the other sentry and swordsmachine
2: for the 2 idoled mindflayer room: you can nuke the sentry at the start, nuke the swordsmachines when they are next to each other or sawtrap the swordsmachines
3: you can use the sharpshooter to insta-kill the maurice in the second half of the spaghetti room
4: you can start off the last room with a saw trap in the middle as well to semi consistently kill the swordsmachines
5: you can hide in the tunnel with the door the the boss fight in the hideous mass and 4 sentry fight to avoid the sentry los (note: this is pretty risky as the hideous mass can launch mortars or slam to force you out of there)
hope this helps
youre actually my saviour
In the final encounter if you are confident in your movement yyou can leave the virtures for last. Virtues wont be enraged if there is 3 or more of them so they make for great grapple points to avoid the mess down below and ez heals as long as you keep moving. So you can just break the idol firsy and olau floor is lava till everything below is dead
Wow, I actually didn't know they can't enrage if there's 3 or more of them... Thanks for the info. This would have fit perfectly for people who rely on the whiplash far more than the rocket launcher.
Damn. Wish I knew earlier.
Another strat you could use for encounter 2 is slide hopping into the rightmost sentry's spawn position with a fully charged slab piercer, shoot both sentries & the swordsmachine then follow up with a railcannon; the swordsmachine can then be parried or be killed in very few shotgun blasts afterwards and the sentries, if they happen to still be alive, can be killed with a single weak revolver shot
After that, you just need to clean up the weaklings and you're good to go
Excellent strat, I can't believe it didn't occur to me.
Thanks!
FINALLY THANKS MAN. I ALMOST GAVE UP BUT YOU GAVE ME MOTIVATION TO DO IT
Congrats!
Sounds pretty stylish and effective once you get it down!
just p ranked yesterday. this helped a lot, thanks so much.
See you in P-3!
why am i watching this i already p-ranked the level
jokes aside this is an amazing guide. great job!
I'm glad that people still find this entertaining, even though they don't need it!
Thank for the guide, this really helped me.
bro already p ranked? damn bro ur good, i though i was too because i p ranked every other preceding level 100%, but this is a whole nother level
P ranked it on day one before they nerfed the boss 😁
this level is probably 10 times harder than all levels in Ultrakill combined lol
10:10 ayo🤨 also cool vid I would never have the patience for this
I really, really like this guide! Thanks for making it. Too bad I P-ranked the level before drfeelgood finished the guide, and I developed some of my own strats as well (though this guide did show me some new strats which I'll be using from now on):
1: instead of nuking or railcoining, I first shoot a cannonball at one of the cerberi in the middle, and then hit it with a malicious railcannon, and then set up a saw trap. my nailcoins and nukes are very inconsistent so I use this strat, I also use the slab revolver and parry the ferryman.
3: to conserve my saws for the next room, instead of setting up a saw trap, I'd just use coins (if possible) to instakill the streetcleaners, projectile boosts, and the slab revolver
4: instead of lining up a double kill with the rail cannon, I just overpump one virtue and railgun the other, since overpumps instakill virtues
5: a saw trap and a good railcoining should almost guarantee a kill on one of the insurrectionists immediately, leaving the player with only one to fight and with the ultraricoshot + bipolar style points
6: just like in encounter 4, I overpump one virtue, use its explosion to launch myself to the sentry, railcannon the other one, and then try to knuckleblast the sentry into the blood wall, if I fail there the maurices should usually kill it, I then use the whiplash and shotguns to take care of the maurices
8-2: I would just stand in one corner, dodge the hideous mass' projectiles, and just shoot the sentry antennas of the visible sentries
8-3: again, same thing, overpump 2 virtues, rail cannon one
if I didn't mention anything it's either because I used the same strat or a worse strat, hope I gave you, whoever's reading this, some ideas.
Really neat! I didn't know about this. Definitely gonna use it to get more chargebacks
Quick tip: slamming (shockwave) will stop sentries from firing, it can be used to stop multiple at once
You now have the title of certified ULTRAKILLER
Thanks, V1
i gave up on p ranking it, its literally impossible i have tried everything i sometimes even stop playing cuz being frustrate doesnt help but no matter what i cannot dodge attacks i give up i cant dodge any of the attacks on the 2 mindflayer room and im tired of being frustrated so honestly this level is where i stop p ranking the game, really awesome you managed to p rank it dunno why but ive been playing ultrakill for months and i cant charge back
I learned basically every tech and enemy moveset in the sandbox.
@@Sheba7660 thx for the help ill try this out, i passed p-2 a bit ago and it took awhile so ill prob just chill out a bit from p ranking
I like the rocket trick at 6B. I prefer this variation, though:
Freeze rocket launcher, shoot, jump and slam.
This video changed my life
For better or worse?
For 6a, the strategy I use is overpump reflecting the two maurices at the start of the room. Ive found it consistently enrages if not outright kills them at no real cost to resources.
this helped, maybe I'll try p-ranking it when i get home
10:07 :To rail both virtues at one" that sounded so goofy
I swear this guy gonna become Herbmessiah 2.0
I'll never replace him, but I am happy that people value my insight!
3:43
you can use a shotgun overpump to instakill both virtues, if you don't get it perfectly, you might instakill one and the other one will be a coin away from death
i find it more common to instakill 1 but im bad
True. I rarely use overpumps for some reason, so I actually forgot to mention it 💀
Although I also prefer a consistent way with no potential self damage to riskier strats when initially learning a level. Wackier strats are for when you master a level. I don't think people are gonna be rocket whiplashing in the blood tunnel fpr their first P rank, but that strat was too cool not to include.
3 tips for the blessed stalker room
1. if you are in desperate need of health, use the straysas a healing source when fighting the ferryman and 2 swordsmachines.
This will leave it at very low health and will be easy to take out.
god, those two idoled mindflayers are just omnipresent, even with these strats it feels impossible to think, let alone survive more than 6 seconds in there.
the saw trap never seems to work, the moment i try to do anything one teleports on me and b*tch slaps me into the astral plane.
one time i try to go in to deal with the sentry, hear a teleport, and am immediately one-two'ed out of existence
I can't even begin to imagine how I P-ranked P-1 this same day
Practice against 2 flayers in the sanbox until you can consistently deal with them without issue. Then attempt the level again.
@@Sheba7660 I feel like my brain is just incapable of processing the sheer amount of inputs its receiving. Its just unreadable chaos to me
@@mr.tweaty Ok, let's try to simplify, then.
You can put your saw magnets on the edge of the curb in the insurrectionist area to prevent the saws from degrading themselves
First room can be cheesed if you stand on the door frame as if you stand there you don't get attacked. Virtues can still hit you, so I like to kill 3 of the Cerberus and leave one in cannonball one shot range before killing Ferryman, which also spawns the Virtues.
most of these tricks still work just fine on brutal btw!! for my fellow semicasuals trying to p-rank the new difficulty, godspeed!!

@@cris4870 It's probably gonna be out next weekend!
I have an amazing strategy for the first mindflayer room in which you slide dash jump to the corner with a charged slab sharpshooter and use it on the two sentries followed up by a railcannon and a couple coins after and then clear the room of the schisms with the shotgun and rocket launcher
Sounds good!
Also, I would like to add that when you touch the checkpoint in the two idol room, the mindflayer’s attack is reset, and will consistently fire the homing balls after some time!
Didn't know that! I think I "felt" it subconsciously, but it's much better to KNOW things!
A new trick that can be used against the 2 virtues that appear outside of the room with 4 cerberus's:
The slab sharpshooter can kill them both in 1 shot. As long as you are aligned with both of them and don't aim way too up or down.
Very nice! Thanks for the update!
12:45 How on earth do you get 33000 style point when that encounter starts?! I only get like 14k at most at that point

Also oh god 2 Blessed Mindflayers. Someone Railcoin me into being a blood splatter like V2.
alternatively to deal with encounter 3, you can point blank p boost the cannon ball to consistently one shot the cerb
I actually like to use the KB to scrongle at least one of the sentries in the second fight. Not really optimal but it's really funny to just yeet them up into the blood for an instakill.
I sometimes do that, too! Pretty handy if you don't need style, as it is faster and easier.
the weezer room got significantly easier, just plant several frozen rockets in the middle of the room, activate the encounter, and HOPE one of the cerbs dashes into the rockets(this works most of the time).this will instakill all 4 cerbs, and you can deal with the ferryman however you want

I personally use the red revolver + railgun + 1 coin + sawtrap to kill off the sentries and swordsmachine! The satisfaction of seeing “triple kill” is unmatched for me, except for maybe no damage ofc!
Sharpshooter wasn't in the game when I made this, but this sounds like a pretty consistent setup!
It wasn't out yet, back when I made this, but I agree
Ah yes the lazypurple blanket
I also think a proj boost can sometimes be easier rather than chaining a double rocket combo the stalker
I did this a few hours ago and i couldnt be happier
Congrats!
This appeared in my recommendations right after I farmed a week to p-rank this level 💀
Sorry I wasn't faster! 😅
10:11 TO DO WHAT TO THE VIRTUES?
12:13 DO WHAT TO THE MINDFLAYER?
I know this video is old af, but my one question is: how much style should I have at each point in the level? I can't find any videos that mention this. For example, how much should I have after the double mindlfayer room? I usually have around 13k
I could test that for you, but my numbers will be skewed since I'll probably have more style than necessary.
Usually, it's enough to try and avoid more damage. Or try new combos (coin punch slabcoins always give me a bunch of style, for instance)
i still cant to the 2 idle mindflayer room, imo its harder than sisyphus
Can you handle two flayers at once in sandbox? Try practicing that before going for it in the level
So why do you like to go with the regular overheat nail gun and not the overheat saw blade do you feel it does more damage
This is why I have magnet saw and overheat nail :)
man I'm trying to get a D rank on this level and i always get ganged by the four sentries in the sand/hideous mass room
I usually just kill the two virtues outside the jumpscare with a single electric railcannon shot
@@Sheba7660 I use my rail as soon as I can because if I think too hard about when to use it I end up just not using it
Also 36k style isn't really a problem, I got like 34k on a level with ~11k requirement
@@Mushroom38294 For people who get hit a lot, and manage to survive, it might be. That's the only reason I emphasized it.

11:25 FUCK! THIS! ROOM!
Lemme know at which part you get stuck, or what usually kills you, and I'll try to help you out.
Everything is great but I still can't do the Mindflayer room
Practice vs 1 flayer in the sandbox until it is easy. Then practice against two. Just get good at dodging, then parrying the homing attack, and finally dealing damage. The first two will help with survivability in that room, and if you can manage those two, you'll be able to kill them with no issues.
You can heal by damaging them until the end, but parries are great!
The homing attack is easiest to parry at first, before it misses you once, because it is really slow at that point. It also does frankly insane damage. You can nearly oneshot swordsmachines with it!
@@Sheba7660 I will practice that in sandbox and then put it to test in P2. Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it.
@@Sheba7660 I give up on P2. I'm simply too bad
The mind flayer room I still just can't
PTSDPTSDPTSDPTSDPTSDPTSD
@@kanna2129 That bad, huh?
@@Sheba7660 I literally parry their orbs all the time but i usually die to the orb explosion after the parry
The Checkpoint strat i did for sisyphus i can defeat him 4/5 of the times I try
epic blanket audio
i need that keybind video
@@elliottfriedlander254 It's coming sometime after sisyphus
Quick question--why use the green nailgun rather than the green sawblade launcher for your traps? Is the DPS significantly higher?
why does no one use the electric nailgun?
Check out my latest coin guide and proceed to eat your shoe 😁
If I may, I’d like to offer my own method of dealing with the hallway with the Cerberus and Streetcleaners
Charge a SRS Cannonball, and fire it as the Cerberus spawns, then shoot the cannonball with the railcannon right after it hits the Cerberus, this will instakill it, or at the very least get it close to death, letting you deal with the Streetcleaners in whatever way you fancy, I prefer going for the Streetcleaner Instakill with the Marksman, but it’s a bit random depending on the Mindflayer’s position, if it’s further away, go for it, otherwise, Sawblade deletes them as well
Very nice strat. Just gotta be quick so the cannonball doesn't hit the ceiling!

To rail both virtues at once, huh? ;)

Me watching this guide because I just want to complete the level once 👁👄👁
I somehow P-ranked Sisyphus without this guide-
(And btw when you get into the stalker room, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE STALKER. I know I sound crazy, but just ignore it, just kill everything and you will be good.)
Wait... how difficult will P-3 be? Especially on ULTRAKILL MUST DIE
It's me, the mouse scroll wheel user, after p-ranking P-1, *P-2 is not safe from my wrath.* EDIT: I've gotten past all of the encounters without dying but the only reason I failed was because of a small blunder (I pressed ESC during Sisyphus monologue.)
You'll get it next time!
super cool! watching this just to learn how to complete the level in detail lmao ain't no way i'm doing a P
If you managed to unlock the level, you can P rank the level. It will just take some time :)
@@Sheba7660 hahahha thanks for the motivation :PPP
the only thing im struggling with is the 4th fight and the final gauntlet, otherwise im very chill with sisyphus and panopticon
Just practice vs dual flayers in sandbox until they become easy. That's a good way to get a lot of practice in a controlled environment!
Ok thanks 👍
What I like to do on the Weezer room (start cerberi) is to nuke them and then go to the side and use the red pistol and throw coins while it bounces to kill the cerberi
That's also pretty good, but in my opinion, the weezer room has two fail conditions:
-you fucked up the cerb kill and now you can't see anything because of the camera shake
-you still have 1-2 cerbs, along with a ferryman
Ferryman is annoying enough as is in that small room, but an additional cerb makes it so much worse.
