What a lovely restoration...taking the "olde dame's eye make-up" back to original beauty. It was a perfect job for Nu-Glaze uPVC glazing profile SG7 (S-profile in Grey for 6,38mm safety laminate glass)... if it was known then.
Hi Erin! We have lots of building advice on our website about wooden sash and case windows: www.engineshed.scot/building-advice/building-components/sash-and-case-windows, www.engineshed.scot/building-advice/common-problems/how-to-repair-and-upgrade-sash-windows/ and a few publications linked to from those pages. We don't have anything on our website about steel framed ones though, if that is what you're looking for, but you could email our team on technicaleducation@hes.scot if you are looking for building advice on a traditional building in Scotland.
uPVC is never an option. Unsustainable, unrepairable and very, very ugly. Congratulations to Fergmann and Historic Environment Scotland for doing the job properly.

Wish you guys could do my windows on my house. I want to keep them and can't find anyone.
