    The Chevrolet Chevette was the best-selling small car in the USA in 1979 & 1980.

    I miss my Chevette. I really want another one. My preference would be a 2 door 5 speed from the mid 80's. But id be happy with any Chevette

    5:09 For the amount of times they used the word "quality" you gotta love the panel fitment of the front door top to bottom. Door was completely closed too, brand new car....

    1st time I sat in one, I asked the proud new owner, "How come the steering column is coming out of the dash at an angle to the right?" The steering wheel was jacked.

    Amazing anyone trusted GM with these on the heels of the Vega. Brand loyalty must be a factor, or maybe price. During the pinto/vega era, the imports were already bulletproof. America can do it too, when it chooses to...

    • @loveisall5520
      @loveisall5520 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, Joe, they weren't. My first new car in college was a VW-awful thing that I got rid of after only two years because of constant troubles. Don't make blanket assumptions or proclamations--it never works.

    • @TIJoe-te9qu
      @TIJoe-te9qu ปีที่แล้ว

      @@loveisall5520 sorry, I was primarily thinking of Japanese stuff, which never had the vega/pinto issues, though pinto motors were pretty tough. VWs can be quirky (i have one), but they sure have survived in great numbers. They have their own little maintenance needs for sure.

    It's to the floor and we are running out of merging lane and a really big truck is coming.....chevvett the car sitting stopped at the end of the merging lane till about no vehicles are anyware in the right lane.
    A car that isn't sensibly to be ever be driven on interstates. Subdivisionypoo style roads only.
