Definitely David Axelrod influences on the Project Gemini album! Great!

Hi Rodney. Didn't hear it immediately, but now you mention I hear it too. So much music is influenced by his music/production. All the best. Cheers. /Paul

Solid stack of records once again Paul. I was really intrigued with the Loyal to the Soil comp. I went on Bandcamp to check it out but they were all sold out. No problem. There are so many albums nowadays that are short-printed and they disappear faster than the endless summers every year. I will certainly check out a few more of them. Maybe the second to last one that you showed called Project Gemini. Thanks again Paul. You keep my musical interests peaked each and every post~

Hi Rob! For small label releases it is probably difficult to estimate the numbers of records that will be sold. Some of these are indeed sold out after a few weeks. And a repress can take months. Just checked bandcamp for Loyal To The Soil and they are still available. The test presses are indeed sold out ;) The comp it a great way to get in touch with the music that is happening over here right now. All the best. Cheers. /Paul

Hello Funk a brother #1. I really liked the sound of Project Gemini. Also loved the snippet from the party for what we call Fat Tuesday that was happening. Always some interesting sounds Paul

Hi Paul! Some intriguing jazzy sounds once again. I was curious about Project Gemini when it was announced but did not get so far as ordering it. Loyal To The Soil sounds very nice and what an intriguing concept. Enjoyed the BMM one as well. I didn't know there was a Carnival in Europe, so boring we have nothing really like that here 😉 all the best, take care!

Hi Doug! Looking back, it's surprising not more albums like Loyal To The Soil are released. Looking back is always easy ;) To be honest everybody needs Carnival. Just a break from wintertime. We always say the dark side of winter is gone now. Project Gemini is a great album, many will like it, but as it is often not many will know about it. All the best. Cheers. /Paul

had this kaidi tatham album in my hands at the vinyl warehouse recently... and a few others of his releases, too.
and talking studio live albums - these are special moments indeed. a few years ago i was invited, alongside a small selected crowd, to witness the recording of the wargirl live album over at the famed clouds hill studios here in hamburg. even though they're more postpunk-leaning with a dubbed out twist they've got some afrobeat influences going on as well.

Hi! Do you know if there was much demand for the Kaidi Tatham record? Those live recordings in the studio always seem to be the best. Gives a special atmosphere and interaction. Maybe also because the musicans are playing and recorded together. Cheers. /Paul

@@XjunkieNL unfortunately i don't have access to those numbers because for the place i work at those albums are non-exclusive imports which we're getting in from UK distributors to re-sell to our customers. so there's no way for me to even guesstimate the ratio of copies pressed to copies sold. but i've seen a few coming through.
