    Don't have a need for this at the moment. But I have a couple of SBC oil pumps in the garage. Might do this just to do it. Thanks for the knowledge!

    Sir, something you might consider. Since Methanol, one of the components of Biodiesel is rather expensive an alternative you may not have thought of is Ethanol. The Ethanol I'm referring to is denatured and void of the normal ATF taxes. You have over 20 distilleries in your state so a little shopping may just get you a very good deal.
    Most Collum Stills are limited to 194 proof or less and pushing that to a pure 200 proof state requires expensive work so keep that in mind.
    Down here in Florida we can buy 192 proof denatured for about 2 dollars a gallon if we buy in bulk.

      I typically don't even bother making biodiesel, I just filter it, heat it, run it through my centrifuge, mix it 50/50 with pump diesel and dump it in my truck.
      My Toyota and Ford don't even need it mixed.

    So it seems a guy could use this rig to prime a LS motor instead buying a fancy pressurized tank set up?

      You guys and your engine priming.
      I prime mine like the factory.
      By starting them.

      I wanted to point out the device can be utilized for more than moving fluid from one bottle to another which it obviously does. This would be much more affordable when compared to other buyable engine priming options. I completely understand and agree on junkyard, reuse everything and crank to build oil pressure but there are scenarios in which this tool is an inexpensive alternative to accomplish the task of priming an engine. Thanks for showing us this multifunctional device!

      When pumping thicker oil, the volume is really helpful.
      Especially when I'm liberating fry oil from restaurants :D

      @@TheDrivewayEngineer hell yeah brother what you thinking on that cost benefit? Like 1.20 a gal if you get the oil for free?

    • @TheDrivewayEngineer
      @TheDrivewayEngineer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just filter it and mix it 50/50 with diesel and go for my Ram, so 2 bucks a gallon.
      My Toyota or Ford could run on it as is.
      If I still wanted to make B100, it would be about 1 buck a gallon, I can get 55 gallons of methanol for 225.
